@backwoodsmedia6865 I've got a HEQ5 mount but it weighs a damn tonne! Not at all portable, whereas my little staradventurer and camera tripod don't way diddly squat! I'm deffo trying with my Svbony 80ED - make a cool video like you too bro
@@toanthai I took the counter weight from my other telescope celestron powerseeker 127, I could not find counter weights to purchase. I then cut a walnut tree brach and made a counter weight for my celestron. Might see it in upcoming videos
I did since I was using a telescope to heavy for the mount, I don't recommend using as it will put extra wear and tear on the gears but it's all I had at the time.
Thats looks like so much weight for the Star Adventurer 2i! What is the total weight or your setup? I read that you shouldn't put more than 70% of the total weight (11 lbs for that).
I'm a complete newbie when it comes to these telescopes. But I have a question. Would it be possible to use a unit like this to not only just in the night sky, but also view and photograph wildlife at extreme distances? Please remember, I am a total newbie. I would like to get into astrophotography. But wondering if there is a unit that can be used for ordinary earth bound items to photograph. Thank you for any input on this.
@victororo462 You could use the telescope for regular wildlife viewing and photo but it's such a big telescope that it wouldn't be very practical. I use the seestar s50 for astrophotography and use it for wildlife photography as well
I will gladly help, Do you have a star tracker? To take really deep sky images like faint nebula or galaxies you need to take long exposure photos. You can look at planets and the moon where you don't need long exposure.

@@lebronk16 I started out with the star adventurer 2i and love that one because I only have to polar align it then turn a knob and it starts tracking. I then bought a eq35 so an eq mount and I couldn't stand it, because you had to download drivers and all that and everything wouldn't work all the time. so i trashed it. I now have the zwo am5 mount with the zwo asiair and everything is so easy now driven with just an app to do everything.
now the payload on the star adventurer 2i is 11lbs but as you can see from the video it worked for me. This hobby can get really expensive fast. I could get maybe 1min long exposures and it tracked just fine with my big telescope, now i wanted to get a guide scope to help take even longer exposures and thats why I upgraded my mount to the zwo am5. I can have a heavier payload on that mount and it will track better with a guide scope. Everything depends on what your trying to accomplish. I hope this helps. It took me a lot of trial and error but you will need to get a t2 adapter that fits your particular camera then a t ring 1.25 or 2 inch will work with the svbony 503 102ed telescope. I hope this helps.

Wow, that star adventure tracker can handle the weight of sv503 102mm? I have similar setup but with sv503 70mm.
Longest I've taken pictures and tracked was 3 hours and yes it does just fine.
Life may not last as long but I can't afford the more expensive ones.

@Dharpa Chakraborty dslr settings very dependant or your target.
Bright object take shorter exposure not bright object takes long exposure but to take long exposure you need star tracker so you don't get star trail.
