He wanted to maintain maximum overlap between the two for strength OE has 2 inch overlap, if he cut it all from the output he would be left with under 2 inches of mating surface
This worked thank you we were scared at first cause it wouldn’t start then towed it to shop and they said it was a knock sensor or something like that and they changed it .. truck fired right up but wouldn’t move so we doubted it worked… then we forgot it needed fluid so we filled her up and she drives normal again… thank you

As long is it’s the same spine count and bolt pattern. I’d do a little research as to what the measurements r like between the l80 output shaft and tcase input length are. As long as they r the same or VERY close, I’d imagine it would work fine
i was wondering that too, but i think the tcase external shaft was gonna be too long also and bottom out on the trans splines where they stop and go to a cone shape. you can kinda see it at 7:37 when he puts them together without the 4wd tail spacer. i think he didnt explain that part well?
I have the same issue need a 4x4 tranny and i got the 2wd at the pick and pull . I wanted to keep the original to the engine and realized i need a 4x4 for my appication. The truck i pulled is a 2008 and wondering if a 2004 4x4 tranny fit with the 2008 computer
I’m sorry berg this should be easy to figure out what hand tools are needed. But I understand if you can’t figure it out on your own. Maybe hire some one to do it for you?

Im saving it in case I need it for my 2500 somewhere down the line. So did you do an LS swap in your bronco?
I just started watching this and I read in comments and you just said you was going to cut the transfer case also. Wtf watch some videos before you do stupid stuff like this. You only had to cut the shaft on the transmission smh
Why did you cut anything off the t-case you only needed to shorten the transmission output shaft

Hey wondering bud is there an transfer case adapter that should slide in first then the transfer case 🤔 because I'm converting 2x4 to 4x4 on my ranger
@@Mylotheblacknwhitecatcurious about the same thing. Swapping into a bronco II
Yes internet@@Mylotheblacknwhitecat
My 2wd 400 I also removed tail housing and cut some off shaft, then bolted my 205 to it
Saved me a lot money homie thanx
Would this be to mate up to an AWD transfer case?
Hola funciona también en una transmisión estándar del 2002 se puede convertir a 4x4
hi there, can you say what transfer case that is and what year 4l80 it is? thank you.

Basically, If I mod a 4L80e to fit a NP208 transfer case will it be possible to use it with a NP205 transfer case ?

Instead of shortening the t case. Why not take more off the shaft?

Can convert a 4x4 700r4 to a 2x4 by changing the tail housing?
If I’ve already cut they shaft in my 4L80e like in this video can I still adapt it to a NP205 transfer-case if I’d like to ??
Curious why you didn't just swap the output shaft cdom.the 4wd in as it's already shorter?
Probably doesn't know how to tear apart a transmission

Which cars have the 4l80 that comes 4x4 stock??
The one used for drag racing with a button to switch from rwd to 4x4
93-06 chevy/gmc 2500s
I wanna try this but does this work? I’m asking before I cut
We’ve been driving the bronco every day since we did this!
Hey would one these adapters work instead of cutting

I'm not sure on the computer but I'm sure it will work but it should
You have a list of tools needed but, don't say what type of hand tools I will need for this job? Can I use your flat head screwdriver?

Im thinking about doing this. This is awesome. I can fix my 4.3 and if i feel like it i can convert my 350 into 4x4 haha fun
Just cut transmission
Will this same technique work on a 4l60e?
I’m not sure. But it should
Why not just change shafts?
Because u would have to gut the whole thing out
What transfercase is that?
241 c
Wrong. This is a bw4401. Or similar in borg warner gm series. Sure doesnt look like a new process case.
Can we confirm this. I have a BW and I am picking a 2wd 4l80e today.
