Second Alarm Fire Rips Through Sofa Manufacture Warehouse 1601 South 59th Avenue South Phoenix.

At approximately 9:45 pm reports came in of a fire that could be seen from the Red Mountain 202 northbound. As 1st responders started to arrive, they discovered a sofa manufacturing warehouse. Command quickly balanced the response to a first alarm working fire, bringing in units from around Phoenix and nearby city agencies. Ladder Pipes were set on each side of the fire to provide firefighters operating handlines on the ground. Firefighters went to an offensive fire attack shortly after the fire was established. Flames were knocked down at approximately 11:00 pm. A second alarm was ordered for the fire bringing additional water supply and manpower. The fire is under investigation by the Phoenix Fire Department Investigators.
