Ingredients for Lamb Loin Chop Recipe
    1 lb. LAMB LOIN CHOPS
    8-10 cloves GARLIC freshly chopped
    1 Tbsp fresh ROSEMARY minced
    2-3 Tbsp BUTTER
    SALT and PEPPER to taste
    OIL for cooking
How to Cook Lamb Loin Chops
Take the loin chops out of the fridge an hour prior to cooking.
Season both sides of the lamb to taste with salt and pepper.
I like to cook lamb loin chops on the stove top in a heavy bottomed skillet. Heat the skillet on medium high heat until hot. I like to use an affordable Lodge Cast Iron Skillet, check current prices on Amazon using our affiliate link amzn.to/2Er9yy6
Add oil to the skillet, and then place chops in the pan, but do not crowd the skillet. The chops should sizzle when they hit the pan. You want a hot skillet to seal in the flavor.
Leave chops alone to cook 2-3 minutes before turning. You can adjust this cooking time depending on personal taste and the size of the chops. This is the time I like to use for 1” chops.
After 2-3 minutes, turn the chops. Use tongs or a method of turning that does not puncture the meat, because you don’t want to release the juices and flavor.
Cook for another 2 minutes, then cut off the heat.
Add butter to the skillet, then finely chopped garlic and rosemary to the melted butter.
Tilt the skillet to pool the butter, then baste the chops with garlic, rosemary, and butter.
Remove the chops from the pan to a plate, then allow them to rest for 7-10 minutes.
That’s it! Serve with your favorite sides for a decadent, fancy lamb dinner.

I love lamb rib chops, but lamb loin chops are usually half the price and look just as fancy. The lamb cut I buy most often is a shoulder cut, which doesn't look fancy at all...but lamb tastes great no matter what the cut. Give lamb a try...hope everyone has a fun weekend, and thanks for watching!

For years my husband said NO ONE made better lamb than his mother till I tried this recipe. He now says I have her beat! My son came home for a visit recently and I made these and he wolfed them down. (He's a VERY picky eater) He asked me for the recipe now too. I'm queen of the kitchen when I make these beauties! Thanks Chef Buck!

Made these this evening after finding 2 packs on sale almost 50% off! So tender and good! I added rosemary and garlic to the butter for ladling over the chops, and later added the cream, mustard and a bit of cream cheese to make a brilliant gravy. Thanks for the great video making it look so easy!

I never got a taste for the mint jelly thing, but I don't think I've ever worked anywhere that didn't serve lamb with mint jelly...I wonder how that became a thing? I got a taste for lamb in my twenties when I used to do seasonal work out West...I used to order lamb chops at a restaurant in Jackson, Wyoming called the Blue Lion...it was one of the priciest things on the menu, but I always ordered it, which says something, 'cause I'm a semi-cheapskate ...That being said, I don't remember a lot from 20 years ago, but I remember those lamb chops
