@@TheDistortionPrinciple It’s different from the low pro. Looks very similar. You could adjust the spring tension without removing the back plate. You can take all of the strings off and the bridge stays level. It was a genius design. Unfortunately they quit making them around 2010.
I really love the FR on my Charvel even tho it took forever to tune up, I guess thats just how it goes. Made me want to throw it across the room getting the tuning right but now its great!
@@cobezcobez9430 it's a balancing act but once you get it there and use the same strings it goes faster. Either block the bridge off when restringing or even go one string at a time might help
I like the Floyd Rose so I can flutter. And the hipshot because it's comfortable and so easy to setup. Intonating a Floyd is a pain even with the key tool but worth it for the fun.
I tend to be Tune-o-matic all the way, but I do sometime miss having a Floyd to get stupid with. I think I may just miss having the guitar it was attached to though.
I am fairly certain a quad would fit the BC Rich, and I mention that also because I have had a Warlock going on 10 years with a quad, and while I have loved i, it does pitch forward because of using the grub screws to make the action correct for intonation, and I play it B standard. I really want either a Black or White Bich, but I didn't know the new bridge was such a pain, Kahler is back and needs to be making Quads for them again. Back when Hanser owned BC Rich, they quads on those were actually very good, one is on my warlock and its a thick piece of metal.
The Ibanez ZR tremolo. It’s like a Floyd Rose but with a bearing roller cam like a Kahler. No posts with the knife edge.
@@MikeHunt-n4u oh nice! I may have had one of the back in the day. I know I had the low pro or whatever it's called

@MikeHunt-n4u damn bring it back!
Best floating bridge I ever used was on the Yamaha SE series back in the 80's, the only fault was construction material
Babicz makes locking bridges for Teles, Strats and Nashville style; excellent quality.
Cool discussion! Cheers!
@@mistershabadoo they make a cool looking one for LP as well really good looking stuff. On the cheaper side there is guyker
Tune o matic roller bridges are my favorite atm. But I really want to try one of those Hipshot tune o matic bridges that are made for low tuning.
Hipshots are so comfy to play on
need a bigsby on an ironbird
Lol now I wanna try it

@@JD-vj4go crap this wasn't supposed to go up today
@@JD-vj4go I agree with all your statements. Flutters are so fun to do
I like the Kahler tremolo. A lot of people hate them and they are pricey. But they are fun .
Old school slayer can't be wrong 😂

The modern quad they use on some models for. It's love to find an adjustable wraparound that doesn't use locking caps that fits
👍✌🤘
I love tune o matic style bridges. I have no experience with FRs or edges. Ash trays and hardtails are not my thing.
Ash trays are yucky
I have TOM style on my king v , not my favorite. String thru body hipshot are my favorite. But I like the fine tuners on a Floyd 🤷🏼♂️
Need a blend of those two bridges!
@ I had a Mick Thomson soloist , it had a fixed Floyd from the factory.
@phillippitts6294 how was his sig model?
@ it was pretty dang good. I just didn’t like the pickups, really dark
