The question was how many diamonds could you possibly get using a pickaxe, so you get nine diamonds from each block and two diamonds from each ore (because you can get two diamonds from one ore sometimes). There are three blocks and five ores, therefore thirty seven diamonds.

The wooden pick axe could not be obtained cause 2 wood blocks - 1 wb (crafting table)= 1wb = 4 planks - 2p (sticks)= 2p + 2 sticks= shovel/sword/hoe (NOT A FRICKING PICKAXE)

Soooooo.... for the one where it asked what item(s) couldn't be obtained did you not think... there wasn't a crafting table... 2 logs = 8 wood 4 planks = crafting table 4 planks left 2 planks = 4 sticks... 3 planks = wooden pickaxe..
Jordan you are mean to billager which is just taking some part for job making bread insted of you. Its like real life. You pay much more for finished product than for ingredieces. HE HAS TO LIVE TOO.
You wouldn't be able to make a wooden pickaxe, because there were 2 wood logs. You'd have to use 9 wooden planks for the wooden pickaxe (workbench + sticks+ the pick head) and from 2 wood logs you get 8 planks. That simple, not the stone pick scenario you made up...
On the restaurant one the answer was simple, quartz isn't a block. It Quartz BLOCK Quartz SLAB, Quartz STAIRS, etc.

Ugh. This is why I prefer to just soak up stuff from lectures, rather than revise. You can NEVER TELL what you're gonna be quizzed on in the exam!
I may just be dumb but the question was "If you had an iron pickaxe how many diamonds could you have taken?" now that means excluding the diamonds in the chest and on the item frames, which is 32, but the correct answer was still 37? Is it just me? XD

I would have gone with wooden pickaxe for the 18:40 question because there were only two tree trunks (8 wood planks). You need 4 wood planks to make a crafting table and 2 to make sticks, leaving you with only 2 planks, which is not enough to make a pickaxe.
Here is a tip for the future:
Red/pink rock: GRANITE
White block: DIORITE
Gray block: ANDESITE
You couldn't obtain the wooden pickaxe because you had 8 planks, you needed 4 for a crafting table, 2 for 4 sticks, and 3 and 2 sticks for a pickaxe, that costs 9 of your 8 wood.
The last one was interesting. You actually didn't need to google that; I think block IDs correspond to when an item was added to the game, so with some deductive reasoning you could have figured that out (assuming you played the early early alpha at some point).
I completely called the "What block did Bob not use?" I noticed the lack of quartz blocks in the front with the stairs and slabs and, while not seeing the mossy cobble or dirt, I would have called that they would pull that and would have chosen quartz.

2 oak wood pieces making 8 planks. Minus 4 for the crafting table and minus 2 for sticks leaving you with 2 wooden planks. You would need 1 more wooden plank to make a wooden pick axe.
