Twon, you’ve got to react to clips from “Live from Daryl’s House”….Daryl, now in his 70’s, jammin’ out at his home with various legends is fire! CeLo Green - I can’t go for that
You no doubt hear John Oates on this song. Hall and Oates did a remake of You Lost That Loving Feeling by The Righteous Brothers and John Oates' voice really shines through on that one. Check it out!
MR Twon - I am a 67 yr old white dude who grew up on all this music you're reacting to. Love to hear and see your reactions - by "your" I mean our black brothers and sisters in music - music is music - no matter what the genre. I just subbed - 6/27/21. MAY I RECOMMEND: Jay and the Americans -- CARA MIA -- Jay is the lead singer - BEAUTIFUL!!! Thanks for sharing our mutual musical cultures!
He was in the acceptance phase of the breakup. "What went wrong" he sang, means he is analyzing so he doesn't make the same mistake again. She's gone means it's time to move on. The devil to replace her. She's gone
Remember you mentioned this one in live chat the other day, glad to see you bring so quick my man. Pay attention to all the unlikely duo's and bands from our past......ain't nothing changed, stay strong America, we always been together ....today's false separation is agenda-driven ....see it!
Always good…just lovely♥️. Just asking..could you do Billy Joel “ New York State of Mind? If you like sax (which I know you do) you will have your socks removed!! Love your reactions!! Stay cool.
I grew up in Carson, California (right next to Compton) and I had a hard time trying to convince some guys that they were two white guys from Philadelphia. lol
"I'd pay the devil to replace her".... that's how I feel about my wife of 20 years!!!!!!!! I was born in the 70's and came into my own in the 89's and 90's. My family(including me) is originally from Philadelphia. I remember my dad putting on his hall and oats albums and screaming "these boys from philly!!!!!!!"
1970s Hall & Oates was far superior to the more "poppy" 1980s stuff. There were a couple of cool songs from them in the 80s (such as Adult Education), but their 70s stuff was smooth. Yeah, John did more vocals it seemed in their earlier stuff than the later, but he did do lead on a couple of songs. Don't ask me to remember which ones, though! :)
They embraced their inner Righteous Brothers vibe on this one. You should check out the version Tavares did. Don't remember which came first. They were released around the same time.
Please check out Live at Daryl's House. Many artists stop by to perform with him and it was a show that ran until the pandemic started. Daryl is very talented as a song writer, singer and also plays many instruments. John Oates is also a good singer.
I love everything they have that I have heard. I recently have been reviewing their 70's albums, later 80's albums and so on. They are amazing plus they also had solo albums too. I love so many of their songs, especially I Can't Go For That (No Can Do) but I hardly see reactions being done on Say It isn't So. There are 2 video versions but the 2nd version is the one Hall and Oates preferred shown: ua-cam.com/video/_R5xIdXwNMk/v-deo.html
Omg...they were the first live concert in ever saw on Madison square garden in NYC...they were outstanding..serious💗💗💗...if you like them, check out michael mcdonald s songs too...especially his song called "on my own" with patty labelle..they shot that video on ONE TAKE while on the sides of the country!! 👍👍👍😉😉😉😉um an old school junkie..ill direct you right!!!
Okay I'm a little pissed right now to be honest because I just Googled how many Grammys did Hall & Oates win and they only had one nomination😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮 but they never won what is wrong with the Grammys😮😮😮😮😢😢😢😢 I think it's not always about the music it's about politics and who you know. just saying my boy Anthony Hamilton has been nominated 17 damn times and do you know how many times he won only once and that is with the duet he sang with Al Green it's almost like he's blackballed no pun intended😢😢😢😢
The 80's and Hall & Oates reminds me of my beautiful high school friend who was lost in the 2nd plane to hit the towers on Nine Eleven. A beautiful soul she was.
I love Darryl Halls voice! actually both are Amazing. ❤️ I’ve seen Hall and Oates in concert. My favorite duo is Darryl with Ceelo Green on Darryls House when they jam. Watch the videos on you tube !🥰 Hall and Oates are from Philadelphia not far from my original hometown.
My husband, my youngest and I were visiting our eldest daughter for Easter during her first year away at college. After supper we were talking music 🎶 and we realized that our girls hadn't heard this song. Was a major song prior to my husband and I meeting and knew that it carried emotions from my love's first marriage. No matter what personal message it may carry....it's universal man! Still remember sitting at the kitchen table at our little one's first apartment, listening to this. Gotta say.....everyone felt emotion. Close to the bone my friend. 😽💋🎶
These guys Hall and Oates are so amazing....I was privileged to have grown up with their music in constant rotation on the radio. Incredibly talented duo.
Enjoy your reactions! Love H2O🥰 One of my FAVORITES is Every Time You Go Away m.ua-cam.com/video/Tlz8qHFDbkI/v-deo.html If you want to watch a live version 1983: m.ua-cam.com/video/TaJT1_-Fyac/v-deo.html And Do What You Wanna Do: m.ua-cam.com/video/sa0GYVEuwSs/v-deo.html
Hall and Oates was the first concert I ever went to. In 1983 they opened their US tour in Binghamton, NY. Pop. 55,000 including me back then? Not even a big town. Just a good size arena and a big tour!
Wow. Not a big town for sure but beautiful there. Home of Animal Adventure Park. Hope to get there some day soon. Didn’t know they even had a venue like that.
NLT. I just want to say that I love your emotion and insights about music. I wish you good health and friends that you can count on. God Bless You, Brother.
A few of their band members are in the SNL studio band. There was a saying about ten years ago, pre-spotify.. "Every ipod should come preloaded with at least one Hall and Oates album".
I absolutely love Hall & Oates! Besides She's Gone and Sara Smile, check out One on One. Also, check out ANYTHING from Live at Daryl's House where he and his band collaborate with other artists. Ceelo Greene is a favorite episode.
React to Daryl's House with Cilo Green, their great. Daryl has various artists from R & B artists to soft rock to hard rock. He plays all genre's. I know you would enjoy. Thanks for bringing back memories. YOUR HONEST AND NOT AFRADE OF ANU STYLE OF MUSIC. LOVE IT! 🤎 AS A INDIGIOUS PERSON I GREW UP WITH R & B.
There is a show called Darrell's House...I am pretty sure that is the name. On the show another artist goes to Darrells house and they play each others songs together. From rock to pop, to R&B...etc artists have been on there. It is amazing, I think you will like it because I think his voice is even better now.
Anytime you do a Hall & Oates reaction you never have to say ‘hopefully it’s good’. ❤️
Twon, you’ve got to react to clips from “Live from Daryl’s House”….Daryl, now in his 70’s, jammin’ out at his home with various legends is fire!
CeLo Green - I can’t go for that
Yes I told Twon the same thing! The Ceelo and Darryl jam session is Fire🔥
Man, I haven't heard this song in years. My favorite is Sara smile, 😎though
Me too!
Same
It’s the best song of theirs, IMO. I loved it the first time I heard it and I still love it all these years later! ✌🏼💖
My fave to sing at karaoke
There's a song called Baby come Back by Player. It reminds me of Hall and Oates. You should react to it. Do the live version.
Yesssssssss😲😲😲😲💃🕺💃🕺💃🕺💃👍👍👍👍👍
It's awesome. I like the studio version better though.
I remember that song
Its time for Rich Girl by Hall and Oates!
Sara Smile..............next. They have some serious soul....
Channel
@@NLTwon subbed. keep em coming.
He already did it
Can’t have heartbreak without the sax solo…..
Can't argue with that.
😁😁😁👍👍👍so true..
Fun Fact: Daryl had just divorced, John stood up by a New Years Eve date, and they wrote this song.
Never disappointed with Hall and Oates. 52yrs together and still touring.
They just put out recent touring dates on Twitter.
Just saw them in Oakland with Train a couple years ago..legend
Hoping to see them on 18th in MD! WooHoo!
Hall & Oats are the all time biggest selling duo. Always great tunes from them.
You no doubt hear John Oates on this song. Hall and Oates did a remake of You Lost That Loving Feeling by The Righteous Brothers and John Oates' voice really shines through on that one. Check it out!
John is more notable in this one because he wrote it.

Hall and Oates are the blackest white guys I've heard. Legends.
#NoLimitNation
Can’t Go Wrong with Hall & Oats! Got to react to “Out of Touch” & “Private Eyes”
He was in the acceptance phase of the breakup. "What went wrong" he sang, means he is analyzing so he doesn't make the same mistake again. She's gone means it's time to move on. The devil to replace her. She's gone
You must hear Sara SMILE. It's awesome also. 🇺🇸👍
He did that one. Take a listen. 😊
Man these tunes make me homesick in my own living room. Good times
Remember you mentioned this one in live chat the other day, glad to see you bring so quick my man. Pay attention to all the unlikely duo's and bands from our past......ain't nothing changed, stay strong America, we always been together ....today's false separation is agenda-driven ....see it!
Thank you Jeff's , I love that message.
❤️
Another wonderful soulful song - a black group in the late 50s called > - "Twilight Time". AND please check out "My Prayer"
And don't forget.. "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes" Terry Williams vocals are world class!
Blue-Eyed Soul at it's finest. They put out some great music back in the day.
I think this is probably their best song!
Always good…just lovely♥️. Just asking..could you do Billy Joel “ New York State of Mind?
If you like sax (which I know you do) you will have your socks removed!!
Love your reactions!! Stay cool.
I grew up in Carson, California (right next to Compton) and I had a hard time trying to convince some guys that they were two white guys from Philadelphia. lol
You're blessed to be able to experience such perfection.
Hall & Oates is STRAIGHT 🔥🔥🔥
Definitely correct.
My apologies but you left something out of your comment. A few extra 🔥🔥🔥🔥.
“I Can’t Go For That” , “Maneater”, “Sarah Smile” 💥💥💥💥
"I'd pay the devil to replace her".... that's how I feel about my wife of 20 years!!!!!!!! I was born in the 70's and came into my own in the 89's and 90's. Philly has a great sound !
It's a great line.
Love to watch the joy on your face listening to the most classic of classic rock!
Been waiting a very long time to watch you hear this amazing first single of Hall and Oats!
Thank you for the respect you show when you speak of the artists you react to. 💖💖💖
John sings possession obsession by himself Daryl does backup.
Their music is never a disappointment…..

Oates sang Possession Obsession and their cover of Jingle Bell Rock. I can’t remember the others though.
Wow, what a flash from the past. Thanks for this groove.
Im 60 still in love with Hall and Oates ❤️🔥❤️
You should check out there cover of you lost that loving feeling
One of their best songs!
When it came out I was about 10 yrs old and I just presumed it was a Black group! 😁
They embraced their inner Righteous Brothers vibe on this one.
You should check out the version Tavares did. Don't remember which came first. They were released around the same time.
This is the original. The Taveres brothers did a grsat cover, as they did with the Bee Gees' "More Than a Woman".
YES!!! Quick question; do you receive the notes people write with the PayPal donations? I’ve always wondered if it gets seen 😀
SARA SMILE!!!

Hi, Find Live At Daryl's House. Watch him play with other famous people at his house. It's always great. 9-23-2021
I had a smile on my face and a tear in my eye that's good music.

And that my friends is a perfect song
I saw Hall & Oates in Wembley stadium when they played with Fleetwood mac in 1990
Great song. Try their version of You've Lost That Loving Feeling

Fantastic cut by Hall & Oates! Also, I don't EVER remember Carbon Monoxide being part of a song lyric! Perfect in it's context though lol.
Hiya👋🏾! I love that you love old school classics. Still have to listen to Player..
Baby Come Back!
Twon my guy....you were born to late
You have an soul for music ‼️💯
Complements on this version. Twon is an 70's man and that's Ok.
Shes gone was not the 80s came out in 1973
@@theodoreritola9758 Thanks I should've known that. I am 60 lol
Not the original studio release where are you getting these links? It was “ok” but sounded weird.
NLT. I just want to say that I love your emotion and insights about music. I wish you good health and friends that you can count on. God Bless You, Brother.
You should listen to the Daryl Hall andCeelo Green versions of these songs
They worshipped the Temptations.
A few of their band members are in the SNL studio band. There was a saying about ten years ago, pre-spotify.. "Every ipod should come preloaded with at least one Hall and Oates album".
These guys were big in the 80s and still good today.
You’d enjoy Sara’s Smile.
You've got one of the best stank faces around.
Great reaction!!! Hall n Oates have soooo much soul.
"I paid the devil to replace her, what went wrong?" Speaks volumes
I love that line.
Teena Marie OUT ON A LIMB. The song is straight fire. You will be impressed . Not many people react to it.
Great reaction. Too cool. If you wanna hear John Oates, react to Possession Obsession. Great song.
You can't go wrong with any Hall and Oates song! I didn't appreciate them at the time (too into metal), but the harmonies and lyrics are still great!!
If she woulda hung on a few more years she woulda been in DA MONEY............LOL.
My absolute favorite song from them!
This is one of their best songs imo! My second favorite after Sara Smile!
100%
That sound you like was there 70s sax ,,
Sax gets me every time
So Smooooooooothe
Love both 70s and 80s Hall and Oates, distinct each decade, but both good. This definitely older 70s vibe.
Never heard this version before.
The Vocalist with the Lower Octaves is John Oates.
The Higher Octaves is Darryl Hall.
John Oates is singing Lead.. on this track.
Nice bro😊
You needto listen to POSSESSION OBSESSION, THATS 99% JOHN OATES
he's got a very melodious voice.
I 2nd below comment, Daryl's House w/various guest artists jamming w/Daryl and his amazing house band... check it out!
If you want even more wonderful performances go to Live at Daryls House! Gigs with all the greats!
John Oates had more involvement in singing in their earlier songs, like this one: "She's Gone" was from 1976. "Rich Girl" was their 1st #1 hit..
Have seen them five times since ‘75. Check out One on One, Rich Girl, Sara Smile… Blue-Eyed Philly Soul at its finest
They never disappoint! So glad I saw these guys in concert!👏👏👏
There is a show called Darrell's House...I am pretty sure that is the name. On the show another artist goes to Darrells house and they play each others songs together. From rock to pop, to R&B...etc artists have been on there. It is amazing, I think you will like it because I think his voice is even better now.
That for me. Is the difference between 70s H & 0 & their 80s electronic influenced sound. Which was the new sound of the time.
70s by FAR
John Oates sings lead in their remake of the Righteous Brother's You've Lost that Loving Feeling. Amazing he didn't do more.
If u want to hear a good song where John Oates is singing by Hall & Oates try 1983 Italian Girls. Awesome song!
sweet thank you
#NoLimitNation! 🔥 My FAVE by them!
Be well and be great! 💪🏾👊🏽😎
This is a rabbit hole you will enjoy. They have tons of great music, soo many hits. They have a show, it's called Darryls House.
You must now react to Rob Thomas singing this at Daryl's House. F##king Quality 💯
