  • The attorney general of Texas says a Catholic non-profit group near the border needs to be shut down. Republican Ken Paxton says Annunciation House in El Paso is guilty of "systemic criminal conduct and is helping people cross the border illegally from Mexico." Annunciation House did not immediately respond to Paxton's claims. In February it said similar claims made by the attorney general were "illegal, immoral and anti-faith." Resident Fellow in Law and Policy for the Center for Immigration Studies, Art Arthur, joins to tell us more about the attorney general's claims against Annunciation House, as this is not the first time he has tried to shut it down. Arthur shares what is different about this new case. Arthur discusses whether Annunciation House has issued any response. He explains what comes next in the case and whether there will be a court hearing.
