For those who are having difficult to connect (288:47 error) you gotta change from "PLCSIM(TCP/IP)" to "PLCSIM(MPI)" on top menu selections from PLCSIM

SOLVED IT! I'll do my best to explain to you
First, in configurate network, check what kind of connection you have, in my case it was MPI
Then go to your PLCSIM, and make sure it is the same! Otherwise you'll get the same error message.
Last reboot the PLCSIM and it should load without problems

No, he is doing a simulation on a software called PLCSIM, it simulates a real PLC. You can do your programs in Step 7 and upload it to the simulated PLC.
