@@ItsMikaela I believe they only announced it a yearish ago? IIrc they started dating right before COVID-19 and then had to quarantine together so they eventually just announced it so they didn't have to keep such a secret lol

"Poopmergencies" 😂 feeling this so badly, we have one small bathroom for two people and if we're both home, that can be problematic

Poopmergencies are a real problem. i was dating a guy and his apartment had one bathroom, he was taking a morning poo and my tummy did the rumbly...it was really bad.
Our house has one bathroom for our family of four. Thankfully it's not been an issue. We do have a camp toilet so if we were desperate we could use that 🤣
When my husband and I sold our 700ish sq ft 1 bathroom house because I was pregnant and we needed more space - I told the realtor our top priority was 2 toilets. She goes “two bathrooms?” And I said i don’t care how many bathrooms there are as long as there are 2 toilets.
I am really encouraged to hear about your mental health struggles and your therapy! Make sure you’re posting what you want and not just what others want to see! Keep it up 💛

I used to live in Elwood, it’s such a cozy town with local grocery stores and cute coffee shops and close to the water. I think you guys would love it.

I absolutely love the sound of all the birdsong in the background of your walk with Bowser - so interesting to hear Australian birds! They sound much more tropical than our boring British birds.
Oh yes, interesting! They do have a unique sound, you should listen to a kookaburra, they sound like they’re laughing.
You two are seriously so cute together, you can tell even by the small interactions between you that there's such a special bond between you and James, it makes me really happy that you guys are so happy together, specially cause i've witnessed both of you grow so much, not only as youtubers but as people for so many years now
My doggo is kid driven. The moment my grandson comes over she is so happy. After she dances her happy dance, she is awesome. The rest of the time she is a lazy slug. Good thing he is here almost every day.

me, from Canada, when I hear that a house with heating ''would be great''
Wait... some houses in Australia don't come with heating at all??? thats so strange
I'm from Germany and thought the same 😅 here its a big luxury to have aircon, but every house and apartment has heating
Even in fl some house dont have heating my apartment actually has both we were so shocked
Housing here in Australia is really bad. Most rentals are uninhabitable as there aren't any laws requiring minimum standards. Heating is certainly a luxury! Air con too! Heat waves kill lots of people here but the government are too scared to make real changes regarding housing :(
Houses which do have air conditioning in Australia are usually dual aircons, so they can both heat the house or make it cold depending on the weather. They’re more common depending on which state you live in and how old the house is. I live in Queensland, and the summers here get very humid, if you’re sick often or elderly, aircon is a must, or heatwaves can be potentially deadly.
In most US houses have to have heating to be considered habitable. But ac is a luxury.

Melbourne rental laws states they can’t reject you because of your pet - that’s been illegal since July 2020 and if you suspect you’ve been rejected because of your pet, you need to ask the Realtor.
I wish that was a law in the US. Ive been trying to move and no one wants to accept my pitbull :(
This is really cool law. In the place where I live most of the landlords rejected me with a cat. Some of them even were specifically against cats but allowing dogs. There are no regulations about it, unfortunately.
as someone with ibs, poopmergencies can be quite stressful when sharing the bathroom, especially with several people, so i feel you james 😅

Yes, my house has 3 bathrooms and I've still been caught without a toilet in a IBS poopmergency. You can never have too many bathrooms.

My husband has really loud tires on his Jeep and our dog knows he’s on the way home because she has learned what his tires sound like. She gets so excited and runs to the door until he walks in.

Was doing exactly all this for several months, viewing 4 houses and endless browsing in a house ad website, 1 failed bid, and finally last week we won the bid for our new house! Hang in there, D, J, and B!
I live with my partner and our cat in a small London flat, we’re still in a lockdown and have been for ages - genuinely, having just one bathroom has been so annoying with all of us here all the time! Even the cat litter is in there! 😂😂

I have my second therapy session coming up, and to hear you talk about it freely is very brave to me. Usually when people hear you go to therapy they look at you different, but they way you shed light so positively on it is amazing. Love from America!

Happy house hunting! I recently bought a house with my partner and I can confirm 2 toilets is a lifesaver. We are both also really sensitive to being conscious of noise when we lived in an apartment, as soon as we were able to live in a single home, you could feel the anxiety just lift away. Now we watch movies LOUD!!

This is SOOO true, we have 1.5 bathrooms. I wish we had a full two, but I could never go back to a family of 4-5 sharing one toilet.
At least 1 1/2. Have to have more than one toilet
3 is great for my fam, 1 for parents, 1 for kids and downstairs one for guests 👌👌👌
At least 1 and a half. In addition to poopmergencies, it's handy to have a second if something breaks in the first.
I just moved and looking for a place and looking over agreements/leases and then the process of moving and unpacking is so much work. You guys can do it! And yay for therapy!
Growing up, my grandmother had a chow who looked exactly like Bowser! She also gave little pinches on the legs!

I'm proud of you for continuing your therapy. Mental health is a huge problem in the world right now and being able to seek help when needed is great. I always feel great after a session and it gets me usually through the week. Just keep going and remember to breathe🥰🥰

I am so glad that your therapy is going well. There is a stigma with that my son went through, though he learned all that matters is how he felt after his sessions and he always felt so much better about things. Good luck and just worry about how you feel, no one else matters if they don't care about you and how you feel.

Really enjoyed this. I’m glad therapy is working for you, I’ve been doing it for years, but for some reason my anxiety and depression and ptsd is getting the best of me. Some days are better than others. Anyway congrats on updating your home living, good luck on finding something great. Bowser is just the sweetest most adorable fur baby ever. 😍🥰 don’t let my dog hear that.😆👍🏼 dogs are amazing. My girl is what keeps me going. Thanks for sharing.

It gets freezing in Melbourne you forget that lazy wind it goes through you and not around you, frost in the garden hose and you cant even put water on your windscreen on your car that has frost on it to, I lived in Melbourne for 19 years and it was freezing in winter. Summer oh my goodness.

We call it air conditioner and very few places in Maryland ( USA) wouldn’t have it. Like only very cheap/ not nice places

I love that you guys can just openly discuss poosplosions and stuff. So many people won't discuss it, but like, everyone poops and everyone has digestive issues at one point or another.
Dogs can smell their owners from miles away! Also they have good hearing so he probably heard him once he was close enough
Bowser is so cute! He looks so soft and fluffy, is it hard to keep him looking good? My dog is short haired but sheds like crazy! I agree on 2 bathrooms or at least one and a half bath. I would never want to live on a busy road. My mom does. I like my privacy. And piece of mind, especially with an animal. Maybe look into a place with a bonus room or basement for your office's. I just bought my first house. I've lived here for almost 2 weeks now. Unfortunately it's almost 2000 miles (~3218 km) away from everything and everyone I know so it's a bit lonely. But I've got my kitty and a doggo of my own to keep me company.
We were a family of five with only one bathroom until we were teenagers, when we thankfully moved to a house with a bathroom _and_ a downstairs toilet, and the relief of not having to knock the bathroom door and ask our dad to hurry cause we were desperate was immense. :D
Also what's wrong with two levels? Are most Australian homes single storey then? Stairs = good for the glutes (and better for the environment and yard size as the build footprint is smaller). :D

I love watching your vlogs! I've lived my entire life with just one bathroom and I can tell you that it does make things super hard when everyone in the house has a stomach bug. I'd love to have two but in my area, most houses just have one.
