Nice video... I had my classical training copying and analysing quite a few of Bach's work.... I still cannot speak (or barely understand) german, but it doesn't sound strange to my ears either. Very nice to hear those three beautiful vintage synths! Cheers!
+Philip+ Hi Philip, very cool to that you had some classical training. There’s a lot to learn from Bach’s music. I am aware that the automatic language translation is far from perfect, but I believe sometimes it’s best to stick to the native language and convey the holistic message (voice, images, video 7 sound). I guess that the automatic translation feature is going to improve over time, as the algorithms are constantly learning. But nevertheless, musicians and artists are people with a lot of imagination: they will figure it out ;-) Cheers Ralph
+Ralph Baumgartl VLog Actually I don't use automatic translation... I rarely read translated works either: I prefer to expand my mind into a new language rather than being constrained by a translator (although I don't doubt the utility of translators: both human and cybernetic)... and then again, as the italians say: il tradutor est un tradditori.... ;) Have a nice weekend. Cheers! Philip
Philip+ Hi Philip, you are right! Sometimes it’s best to stick to the native language and trust the holistic approach ;-) Wishing you a nice Sunday. Cheers Ralph
+Brian Kupferschmid Hi Brian, yes it was good to be vlogging again with Bernie. We plan to do it more often. He has some new gear in his studio. The Moog Mother 32 for instance….Cheers Ralph
+Two-Dog James Hi Stephen, I am glad that I was able to show you something new. I am sure the automatic translation is going to improve over time as the UA-cam robots are permanently learning. Cheers Ralph
Wow that is the first time I've ever used the captions. Didn't really know how. Thank you! Great video and I look forward to your Big Sky and synth tutorial.
+MrFricoco Thank you very much for watching! I thought that there might be users who haven’t tried the closed captions yet. That’s why I have recorded that little screen capture to demonstrate how to set it up. Hope it was helpful. Cheers Ralph
+James Howe Hello James, thank you for watching and your feedback. Before I bought the BigSky I was digging deep in comparing the BigSky to the Eventide Space. Even though the Strymon FX are geared towards guitarist, I personally believe they are just made for Synths and Keyboards. Cheers Ralph
That Big Sky is really cool. I really love the vibe of that whole room and Bernd Michael Land. I love watching him play but having no clue what he is saying, he still gives off a great vibe and you understand what he is kinda saying just from what he touches and plays. Thanks a ton for these awesome videos.
+Todd Smith The translation robots still have a lot of learning to do, but I hope in the future this automatic translation feature will translate everything precisely from German into English. Thanks for stopping by and watching. Cheers Ralph
I think you can code them yourself or get a better coder. I saw a video on it waaay back when I started You Tube and was looking up channel info. I figured most people will never use it for my channel so kinda skipped past it. I'll try looking for it Ralph Baumgartl VLog
+Todd Smith Translating and transcribing videos is a lot of work and takes a lot of time. That’s why there are professional translate&transcribe services around. As a starting UA-camr who has to do everything on his own, I simply do not have the time to do the translation. I rather do more videos and rely on the UA-cam Algorithm getting better at the translation job ;-) Cheers Ralph
+Sequentonal Hi Henry, thanks for watching. I personally believe that the Strymon Effects are the perfect companion for synths and keyboards even though they might be intended for guitars ;-) BTW, I have another interview with a legend going online today. It was also shot in Bernie’s dream factory ;-) Cheers Ralph
Bender Graph Yes, it does! I am aware of this. Also the automatic translation, is never really accurate. The UA-cam translation algorithms do not quite get the context of the words, but the robots are learning. Some of my guest want to speak german, and I think it’s better for the flow if they just stick to their preferred language. But as mentioned in the video: Musicians and artists are usually smart and educated people with a lot of imagination capabilities. I trust they figure it out… ;-) Cheers Ralph
Bender Graph Hi Ronan, Bernie is and was using some (old) samplers. But I do not quite remember which ones. I guess we covered them in some of our older Vlogs about his synth studio. Every now and then he’s also selling some old gear in order to make room for new stuff ;-) Cheers Ralph
Auto translate Ha Ha Ha Ha.......Dingen translated the same and then there was something about a paper filter. I know that you have an amazing laboratory there, but I thought I was having a chemistry lesson...... ha ha ha ha Great vid though ... Love it Thanks
+Roy Summers Hello Roy, thank you very much for watching. I am very glad you like it! Well, I guess the UA-cam auto translation robots still have a lot of learning to do ;-) Thanks again! Cheers and best regards, Ralph

Bernie is the man! I'm glad to see you had a chance to make this vlog.
+Brian Kupferschmid Hi Brian, yes it was good to be vlogging again with Bernie. We plan to do it more often. He has some new gear in his studio. The Moog Mother 32 for instance….Cheers Ralph
Well I never used the translator before. Thanks for showing us how. It was surreal! It's lovely to hear those EMS synths.

+MrFricoco you are welcome
Thanks for the video. I think the idea of a tutorial of using the Big Sky with synths is a great idea and I look forward to seeing it!

+Bender Graph hi Ronan, thanks for watching! Cheers Ralph
+Ralph Baumgartl VLog Some of the sounds coming from the video actually triggered some text in the translation!

Anyway, does Bernd have any old samplers?
He seems like a person who doesn't use a lot of them...
