She was about 15 yrs old at the time of this show. She turned 16 yrs old in May. She was a very abused child in her toddler years and was found on the streets of Russia w/ a broken arm and sent to an orphanage. There a worker at the orphanage fell in love with her and adopted her. She had a speech problem- so her new mom sent her to voice/singing lessons at a very young age to help her. Her first appearances as a young singer on competition shows- she yodeled a lot in her songs. That is where I feel she found her strength and her unique sound. The same composer, Igor Krutoy, has taken her under his wing, like he has Dimash. I am so looking forward to what Dimash and Dianna (Dee-Anna) will be sharing in the future with the assistance of this great composer!
