What an experience for him, let alone us, to witness such deft, emotional resonance that is, always at its core, beginning to end, ineffable. I consider it a public service - no, a civil duty - to share Basho into every life I come into with even some semblance of intimacy. Better still if it is a complete stranger with whom I get to share. Ronnie's gift to us was art.
