My local harbor freight said they are putting both motors in the same box, so going by the number no longer works.
Look for the box with cutouts for handles and you can look inside to see which valve cover it has - stamped for non-hemi, cast aluminum for hemi.
😉
Good thinking. Im going to have to start doing that.
I don't think China copied anything. Remember they are the ones that make the engine. They can look at some pictures online and make parts. China is not what you think. They are smart and are fully capable of making good products but also have the advantage of dirt cheap labor.
They absolutely knocked off the ARC rod. Yes, the Chinese are capable of making good stuff. So why not design and sell their own? When you’ve been on the receiving end of IP theft, you realize how messed up it is.
Yes that is true but… being a noncommietard wouldn’t you rather support an American business?
@@WalkerSmallEnginePerformance I should have worded my comment different. I don't think they knocked it off in the sense of buying an arc rod and scanning it and throwing it into a CNC. And I agree with the IP issues. I worked for a small start up that kinda got screwed by Chinese. Sucks but for something as simple as a rod it's kinda hard to knock them. I personally don't think any of the aftermarket rods are highly optimized for strength and weight. They are all basic designs. Nothing wild about them , and I'm not saying they are bad or anything.
@@radoncave69 yes I would. 100% but saying China can't build nice stuff is something too many Americans actually believe and it's not true at all. People should be scared how good China is getting. I'm in manufacturing and we gotta use our brains to keep up and it ain't easy. Mexico is getting there too, they are advancing at a massive rate. And shipping from there ain't expensive
Sounds like something a commie would say
Hi, Glad to see all is well with you and family!!! Can you tell me/us, if you have any info on Iassic, John (Cars and Cameras) or Rather B Welding!!! Really worried about them.
Pin through roller tip of chinese ratio rockers are obviously SOFT steel on a wear item which is BAD. Kart racing shop we go to had us look for stapled box to identify as a Hemi engine since all are the same part number now. his advice to us on stapled box hasn't steered me wrong yet.
Support your local shops❤️🙌🏻 we appreciate it more than you know!❤️
I bought a set of chinese copy champion rockers from amazon.I was so mad at the very poor quality and excessively loose clearances that I just threw them in the trash.Genuine champion rockers are very good quality and fit.
Yeah, those are junk.
Awesome video. Did the exact same build months back with the exact same parts. 😎
Blue lock tight everything 😂 ask me how I know😂😂
With the port union strike going on better buy now or get ready to wait
Chinese junk comes in on the west coast.
Yeah it will hurt the prices for a while.
YESSIR COLUMBIA SC IN HERE GREAT CONTENT BROTHER #ALLMYLIFEBASSHEADZ
Thank you for supporting!!!

It is NOT SMART to jack up a cheapo 212cc china engine! Not smart at all!
An old racer hot rodder once told me when i was pouring money into performance stuff in a smaller engine! He said show-horn the biggest engine you can find in your project and then go from there!
Hey, speaking of EC carburetors, are they having issues after that hurricane? They usually respond really fast but not the last couple days. Hope all is OK.
Should’ve gotten the Chinese 14cc chamber head on Amazon too. I got one of them and god bless the casting is terrible, and they don’t even use split keep retainers. But with some new valves, a dremel, and a polisher. You wouldn’t know what the difference is
CHINESIUM!
dayum bro you pulled that thing apart quicker than I can say VAGATARIAN
Lol I've had a lot of practice.

22:25 I just recently decided to start building out a predator 212 and I picked up the engine at harbor freight thinking that it was a non-hemi as it wasn’t a Hemi on the box like what you had, but sure enough I opened it and it was a hemi style predator. So yea it’s happened to me recently with the box engine head style mix up.
You can get a rough spring rated by putting a hole in steel box or 2x2 bar say 1/4 inch diameter put this in a vice and pass a heavy cable through a thick washer pass through spring and suspend weights below, sort of like a pendulum, keep adding weights until the spring compressed and that will give you a rate
Good video/ series.
Thanks for everything.
My Tillotson is built in China and besides the hemi head being trash. The stock internals on a 212 Tilly can handle a 265 cam. That’s good.
And my hurricane 200 is also built in China. The only thing bad about China is the recycled metal they use.
God bless RBG
But your building china made carts and engines I understand support America but
Plus the EC rockers are not made of chinesium... a very soft material native to china.🤣The slop in that rocker would no doubt throw off your valve play adjustment too right?! Junk! I have EC valve train parts. Top notch quality! Not just saying that...really not. EC also responded to my e-mail with a 2 paragraph response on things to help with my 223cc stroker build!
Also... Can we get some Nibbi carbs on here ! I have one...seem really nice for the money. Curious on how they compare. Much nicer casting then the VM knocks offs!
