  • Follow me on leg #1 of my Qualifying Cross Country (QXC) navigation flight to Kempen Airport, also known as Budel (EHBD). Interesting topics in this video are the navigation by course/time and VFR chart, the crossing of EHEH CTR and a moderate crosswind landing at EHBD. With this flight I have logged my 32nd hour of my PPL(A) training program.
The QXC is a requirement that every pilot needs to do in order to qualify for his/her PPL exam, which entails a flight of at least 150nm (278km) during which two fullstops must be made at two different airfields other than the field of origin. For my QXC I have chosen the following route:
    - Leg 1: EHHV to EHBD
    - Leg 2: EHBD to EHTE
    - Leg 3: EHTE to EHHV
