No sir. That’s a downside for sure. There have definitely been winners in this market but when something pops up that half way interests you, you just have to be ready to pull that trigger!
In fact, I’d say the Boise north end is at California levels now. Maybe not the ultra primo coastal signature areas, but certainly at the level of many good areas in notable cities where people aspire to live. It’s pretty interesting.

We plan on moving to Idaho. We like Meridian. Eagle is nice but kind of far out away from the action. Isn't Meridian in a valley prone to flooding though? That is making us think twice.
I have been telling my friends in California, who not move to Idaho. It’s so beautiful here, higher quality life. As long as the couple both work, it’s not an issue to afford the house here. You can spend 400k to buy a nice decent house.

lived in OC for 13 years and left in 2012 paying 1680.00 for a one bedroom in South Coast Metro. I checked rent there recently and it's now over 2,000. I pay 2200 in Pasadena right now for a 550 Sq foot studio. Ridiculous. If you're paying 1720 that's not too bad.

We have a governor we are currently trying to recall, most of CA is stupidly democratic, have some of the highest tax, a "drought" every summer, seasonal fires all over the state to the point we can't even go for a walk, some of the highest gas prices, some of the strictest pandemic regulations (we are still wearing masks), horrible gun laws, no real space... i make $30 an hr and can barely afford a 700sq ft 1bd apartment. But yea, it's nice. Move here.

People are rude also. Mini jackson hole. Very sad. They will hunt and fish, reducing the populations of game. Its only a plus for you and other real estate companies. Star and Eagle have very nice/ expensive new houses but the infrastructure--roads cannot keep up with the increased traffic.
