It is the fault of that car, that has a curve so narrow that by inverting the analog of the joystick with the track road, there is an almost straight snaking It is difficult to put into words, it only takes a little bit of practice
@@ojama2508 the barrel train is terrible at acceleration as well actually :p the reason we choose it is because lightweight karts have the longest lasting miniturbos (30 frames aka half a second), and the train has the highest top speed out of all lightweight karts.
Watching your driving skills is quite intense - hearing the constant L/R buttons clicking - you make it look VERY SMOOTH when we all know it's slippery HAHA GGs. :) great stuff

It's very finnicky to do first try flawlessly, even when running just flower cup, let alone ACT. The risk of it failing, especially when combined with CPUs and items, is too high compared to its somewhat small timesave

I used to! I've been taking a break from streaming in general cuz of health issues, otherwise i stream on twitch I do have a tutorial playlist called Zero to Hero on my channel, so maybe that could help :)
It really depends which level you'd want to achieve! If you just want to learn the basics, 1 week to a month should be good. More advanced techniques range from 2 months to half a year, and perfecting onto that can take as long as you'd want :p

Generally any lightweight character is the best as only they can choose the Barrel Train (the kart) and have the longest MiniTurbo duration. However, in Grand Prix the koopas are preferred due to having triple shells and better odds at getting the right items when sandbagging. The others' special items are hard to get rid of and/or are suboptimal
At the peak of my Mario kart "skills" in this game in could only overlap computers in 50 cc or Baby Park. But damn dude, you overlapping them like it's nothing.
I know duuuuude I had a run that was like 10s faster than the old record (offline, no audio, bad gameplay, just good bc ultra) that I didn't decide to submit or release because it would not even be worth destroying that old record, so at least this is a pretty hefty cut to make up for it :D
@@GoombaNL Not sure if you’ve heard, but I have seen a 1:14 happen on LC & DDD, & very sure Mushroom Bridge can be improved with the shortcut. Not sure what else can be improved in the 2nd half besides MC, WC, & a cleaner BC to maybe the 50 second range.

@@ericzubyk2329 Ah, I see! Well considering everything, my best splits amount to the run being around 1m 15s faster, not counting z-tech or MB skip. However, it's impossible to actually achieve that, considering the RNG, shortcuts and driving involved to not make a single mistake. It's ridiculously easy to lose time to random things on the road, lightning, blue shells, bowser shortcut (3/4 is really good already) and on top of that driving flawlessly at the very top level. That's why in the description I wrote that a 25:xx IGT is possible, but extremely difficult / requiring a very long grind to do so, and the main interest of the community is within non-shortcut Time Trials :)
