Slightly random but since we get the instrumental of Round 6 here I actually noticed how genius the music is. Ivan is the piano, Till is the guitar. This probably isn't a surprise since the respective parts are literally played when the assorted character sings, not to mention Till's main instrument is the electric guitar and Ivan has a very similar classy style to the piano that most would likely make a simple surface level connection to (black and white color scheme, strong voice, associations to classic literature, expensive, well-known and respected) in addition to the hint of piano in Black Sorrow, but the composer/s made genius usage of those instruments to actually represent the characters in the melody. First of all, they sing the same song. Literally. The main theme of CGCGCCGCBCGF is identical for both instruments. They branch out differently, but the main theme is exactly the same. The guitar is extremely distorted, showcasing Till's mental state, whereas the piano is very clear. This specific part 1:13 sounds an awful lot like an alarm too. Furthermore, the piano is ALWAYS accompanied by the guitar, even when it's just by echos, but when the guitar is dominant, the piano dies out. Black Sorrow follows the EXACT same pattern. The guitar is also wayyyy more present in general, which could've been some sort foreshadowing. Outside of that, it additionally has a lot more range and variation. At times, there's is this very evident sound of desperation and panic in the guitar's main voice, and a sense of rage in the supporting voice. Brilliant. And if we want to get into the nitty gritty, the entire thing is in d minor if I'm not mistaken, and d minor is most commonly associated with counterpoint and chromaticism in music. Counterpoint refers to two (or more) voices playing simultaneously which are harmonically correlated yet independent in rhythm and melodic contour. Chromaticism, to put it simply, refers to using more notes than the seven standard ones of the determined pitch of a musical piece. In relation to the happenings of round 6, I'll leave you to make your own connections. (I'd be happy to explain nonetheless if anyone has difficulty making sense of this) Important note: I am not a musical expert, these are just my own observations after years of music theory and playing the piano. Do correct me if I'm wrong somewhere, sometimes I'm off by a pitch

Everything starting with chroma, funnily enough, is actually more commonly used in the context of colours, as it is the greek word for colour; yet chroma in colour theory specifically refers to the satuaration of colour. In music, you could say it means "recolouring" notes. Round 6 is, even in visuals, the most stimulating we got yet (outside of the Alien Stage video maybe but I'd claim it sticks to its colour scheme rather plianly, the scheme is just more saturated in its nature); most likely because Ivan is related to very monochrome and muted colours, whereas everything in relation to Till is highly saturated (Mizi too, with her bright pick hair and green eyes; perhaps that's why Till never felt the need to look at Ivan). Chromaticism is a very complicated topic once you dive into the thousand specifics and sub-topics so I kept it as easy to understand as possible here. I'd advise you to look into it yourself if you want to know more about chromaticism as a subject, though I don't think you'll find anything relevant to the themes of CURE. Even then, I hope this could help your understanding of music theory and CURE a bit better. Its absolutely crazy how you guys the alien stage team transparently show your progress! Its always been how you guys showcase your skills with your other projects but seeing alien stage in its process from the storyboards, to the image boards, the vfx and the background elements, the way you make the backgrounds and movements so cinematic. Everyone in the team is so talented its an absolute joy to witness your creation come to life ♡♡♡♡
