Once again fun making contacts off the moon, especially on 6 CM or 5760 Mhz! Of course it didn't all go smooth but we hung in there and got the job done. All so much fun!!

Yes it was hard to understand his audio in the recording.. The headphones are a lot lot better as they are going through some DSP filtering which helps a lot especially for the weaker ones and my poor ears.. Thats why I like EME, the QSO is short and sweet, some duplication to help out also.. I wouldnt be able to carry on a conversation at the best of times.. Thanks, Skip
Hello again John, yea silly old Murphy was barking at me again. Stupid things.. If I hadnt spent so much time greasing things I would have had more time to get around it all. Oh well its all fun.. Yes looking forward to meeting a lot of people at the conference ! Skip
I notice when you are sending PA0PLY's call at the 9:20 point in the video you are sending the 0 (zero) as 4 dashes instead of 5 dashes. Is that some kind of a shortcut used for EME or is there another reason? 73 Skip, enjoying watching your videos!
Well what can I say?? My CW was all messed up.. It was at that point that I was trying to remember if it was a zero or the letter "O" !!! Thats why I stopped and went over to the computer table and looked at my notes to see which was correct.. The number zero of course. I can send CW a lot better than I can copy it.. Especially when its weaker like his signal was.. Thats why I like EME, its nice and short and a lot of repeating because we know its going to be weak and distorted.. So mostly just the calls are exchanged, Signal reports and then 73 to each other.. The second contact from Peter, OZ1LPR was a lot easier but even then at one point I just could get what he was telling me. I got that he sent the number 500 but I couldnt relate to it.. Later on in the recording I got that he was telling me he was putting out 500 watts!! No wonder he was strong ha ha... Thanks for commenting and watching my " NERD" channel.. Skip
