This is honestly amazing, the way of the angle perspectives, the smoothness, how it changes Rose's/Pink Diamond point of view to how she new to being Rose Quartz, The Gem War and how you drew Rose yelling but changed it to be Pink really got me. Honestly, you deserve a lot. Here, have some cookies *passes a dozen cookies*
The part that gave me the most chills was 1:38- 1:46 bc of how distressed all of the diamonds feel ((maybe expect for white diamond)) But seeing yellow actually in a state of panic made the situation/imagery more real. Rose declaring at the diamonds when she is a diamond herself; whether she likes it or not, they are her family.
I love this video, It shows that Rose / Pink wasn’t all that bad. She was trying to escape from the Diamonds control and Be on Earth with her friends and be happy. I believe Rose / Pink had good ideas just the wrong ways of doing them. VolleyBall, Spinel, Bismuth, and Pearl understand what she was trying to do either in that moment or in the Future but overall forgive her. I’m perfectly fine with the Fandom not agreeing with me, this is my Own opinion.
Very lovely. This was a love song, but here it becomes PD's self-reflection on her feelings and decision toward earth. Focusing on PD's love toward earth rather than a gem/human creates a dramatic conflict in her personality. A diamond who loves all lives on a planet, but also has some selfish behavior. The ending sequences, from diamonds face-off to PD looking at all Crystal Gems, are my favorite. They add a variety of emotion to this animation. I can find determination, anger, relief, regret on PD, I can feel how much she gave to the world she loves. This is cute, warm but also bitter. Really like the complicity in your interpretation to the character and the song.
The way I see pink diamond is as a young selfish child who wants the best for everyone but has no idea how to ask for the help she needs to achieve it.
Can we just take this chance to appreciate Yellow being the one to tell Pink to "get a grip, girl!" And that Blue just faLLS OVER PINK CRYING HER HEART OUT

man idk where to begin. the quartz backup singers, and the way they sway their hips in the first scene? the amount of emotion and energy you give pink in every frame? all of the delicate facial expressions and hand movements? the amount of story you stuff in--you have all of rose's emotional turmoil, PLUS the beginning of pearl's issues with rose and humans? fuck it i'm gonna really just go off and list everything i like: 1. the gentle billowing of the curtain in the beginning. so subtle but so symbolic; pink's hunched up, anxious, impatient position on her throne 2. how rose's expressions softens from determined within five seconds of getting outside, the constant tug and pull of her facial expressions. mute this thing and you still 100% get the gist of what's going on. 3. like the way she moves her shoulders after sniffing that flower. so many feelings in such a small movement. 4. how she slumps, helpless, lovestruck against that tree, and the swap back to the quartzes swaying hips in time to the music. 5. how the camera pans to her in the next scene, how she's the only spot of pink, how she lingers behind. even fitting in, she's isolated because of her position. she's not a normal quartz. she looks up the walls of the kindergarten, and thinks. 6. the transition to the humans dancing. 7. like damn this scene. you modeled even the background characters really well, but rose's dancing is just perfect--so wild and free and big it knocks pearl away (and you really are cramming as much story in here as you can). then rose's perfectly to-the-music posing, straight into tipping the guy back for a kiss---except nope! the way her eyes snap up, how she drops him. there's so much purpose, so much decision, in every movement she makes. 8. and how she wheels around, still in turmoil--and yet she can't resist earth. seeing pink through rose quartz for a sec, the tears and reluctance, and yet she forges ahead. OUCH. 9. that you had pink, and not rose, in that final shot. seeing pink looking at steven and the gems like that--it's something that really hammers that they're the same in. we've had a ton of stuff with rose and everyone over the years, but not nearly as much with pink, and i really liked you used her.

9. that you had pink, and not rose, in that final shot. seeing pink looking at steven and the gems like that--it's something that really hammers that they're the same in. we've had a ton of stuff with rose and everyone over the years, but not nearly as much with pink, and i really liked you used her.
