For shoe laces, I take an equal length of 550 cord and secure the ends with the heat shrink with the internal glue. Not only do you have a stronger lace but also lots of extra cordage for survival. I suggest heat shrinking the ends after running the ends through all your eyelets etc.

Titan Survival makes “Survivor Cord”, which is like 550 cord, but also has 25lb finishing line, snare wire, & fire tender all woven together inside the paracord. Retired, my team will be here on the farm when SHTF. All of my chest rigs and plate carriers are set up with six 30 round rifle magazines, three pistol magazines, IFAK, canteen, com, etc. I have extra ones for other team members. We are going to bug in on the farm.
Its all fun and games. Until you realize you are your own resupply. So train as you will fight so as you will fight as you trained. Also dont forget to cache if one can. Keep on keepen on

Don’t think it’ll be Paratroopers, planes have to fly too long. Multiple container ships ( =trojan horses! ) full of troops arriving at same time brings across tens of thousands cheaply and sneakily. All port cities overrun within 1-2 hours, thus 50% of population captured.

I always Field Strip My MREs I can get about 4 MREs into the size of one of your big packages there. Strip out the essentials and throw the rest away. Carry only one heater from the from the MREs or not at all. Carrie at least two Bic lighters wrapped in duct tape. A small Altoids tin with cotton balls soaked in Vaseline. Many uses for KY.😂😂

I'm not sure what to carry as I could have either of the AR-15's or the AR-10's, the (12 Gauge, a belly pouch full of ammo), the 9mm 1911, the 45 acp 1911, (the G17 clone with 10 magazines), the (PMR-30 bag with 4 magazines and extra 500 rounds), the AK63-D or the Romanian PSL as the enemy can supply my rifle ammo!
Bluds prepping to fight the GWOT all over again. 10-12 pounds of armor is not going to serve you as well as 10-12 pounds of extra rations and survival gear. A gunfight is the number one thing to be avoided. You'd also probably want to consider medical fluids, a stretcher, and long term casualty care solutions. There is no MedEvac in this scenario, and guys that get injured are going to need long term care. Also put more gear on your belt and less on your shoulders, your back will thank you for that.

I’m a big fan of carrying a plate carrier and LBV separate rather than integrating them. I was taught by a ranger sniper so I’m just more comfortable being light and mobile and will probably carry extra mags rather than plates. But I’m also rural focused. Urban would be another situation. Just remember folks, don’t waste so much money on fancy gear, have a basic rifle platform and vest, you’re going to be able to find plenty of loot after firefights and general unrest situations. No reason to waste money tricking out your single fire weapons when you’re gonna drop them for the first select fire one you come across.

In the scenario “Russian/Chinese invasion,” I’m not certain who I’d necessarily help. Probably just lay low, grab some popcorn and watch the show for a few weeks.
I dont remember seeing anything like a knife or multitool. I could be wrong and missed it but if not why didnt you show it? Another thing, is there a reason you dont run a side arm? I know it's never as useful as your primary but idk why you wouldnt at least carry a .22 pistol for some small game hunting if you needed to, then it's better than nothing if your primary goes down. None of this is criticism. I'm actually curious about your views on these matters.
I love the scenario I think just as much as everyone else that might read this lol but I also don't expect it to ever come to that. Can't really stealth fly in 100k troops so everyone knows our extremely powerful navy will intercept them before they even reach landfall. I honestly don't think even Russia and China working together could reach landfall in the US then if some managed they would be dropped rather quickly. We would hear the emergency alerts then two hours later get the all clear alert 😂
I can’t speak for “Zero”, but I think he was showing his set up based more closely to how grunts run their kit. Most aren’t issued sidearms. As you progress through the higher tears, you start to see side, arms, being commonly issued. However, some troops even at the highest levels “Teir 1” still don’t choose to carry a side on, feeling that the additional weight is not worth it. All in all could be its own video in and entirety, lol! That being said , I personally carry a sidearm, a fixed blade, and a Leatherman. Maybe check out our earlier equipment breakdown from episode one of the attack or our battle built breakdown to see some additional options. @@USOverwatch I knew that for the military. I just didn't know he was talking about a duty kit. I just looked at it as shtf gear. Which I think a fixed blade and a solid Leatherman is definitely in the top five things to grab no matter what the scenario is. Me personally even my primary would change depending on the scenario but that fixed blade and multi tool will always be a go to. If I was in a group the 556 would be the go to because you can carry more plus share with buddies and when you have 6 guns pointed in the same direction there will be so much lead flying the enemy won't notice the difference between a 556 or a 308. But me being more of a loner my go to is a 308 more of a dmr set up. I have to make every round count and my odds of getting through a straight up fire fight with a group of people is slim to none so I have to use more evade tactics and dirty tricks. So sniping, traps, and waiting for vulnerabilities. With any luck I can spend a couple days slowly picking at a group until it's safe enough to refuel and clean my pants
There’s definitely a ton of thing missing I could’ve added and you’re right a multitool is absolutely necessary I carry one every day myself which is why it didn’t come out of my pack . That being said this is just to get ideas flowing and you hit it right on the head no one gear dump will describe it all. But stay tuned for more to come in the future ! With all the high population density areas in the US I imagine there will be a lot of people stuck in that predicament. It would be nice if they knew how to get water, traverse safely, (possibly going "grey" technique) and even signal boosting for radio or communication

@@USOverwatch Ive got 1 of the newer Med tapered barrel 580 plus series model . my only complaint is the 1/9 twist which seems to work best with 55-65 grn so I zero with 60 grn hornady and call it good enough for minute of coyote at 300. up to a 100yds 55-77 dont matter theyll be minute of man. do dont get me wrong ive got a couple of M4 builds 1/8 . i got my Mini after I retired just because i had always wanted one. its become my favorite on the farm deer , hog , coyote etc. Thunder Ranch seems to speak highly of them or so ive read. plus im a 1911 guy as well. so i love to stir the pot. lol . ill try to figure out how to post some pics of targets shot offhand 10 rds rapid fire with a mag change at 100. M-4 and Mini , folks would be surprised. im old so yeah i use scopes on everthing lol except SG and sidearm. love the channel and the interest in things your generation of young Jedis are some of the best. I hope nothing ever happens. But alas hope is not a course of action. and we definately live in interesting times. Most likely it will come down to the last hundred yards for all of us. S/F!

I’m not trying to be rude, but I have to correct you with what you said about body armor having level four that’s fine if that’s what you wanna roll with it’ll stop pretty much anything. Go to armored Republic. They are the largest body armor company in America. I bought their shooters cut A2 - Alloy Body Armor level 3+. With their fraglock of course who wouldn’t buy that? It absorbs and catches the bullet so fragmentation will not hit your neck or head or legs and it has a 20 year shelflife it has stated and it has video showing the green tip. It can take multiple rounds. I saw them show one that was 10 years expired and they shot it 20 times with green tip and it didn’t do anything but punch it back, which is why you have a trauma pad it can even stop a 308 a normal 308 not armor piercing if you want to be protected from armor piercing, which I think you’re not gonna run into somebody that are never anything’s possible but the fact that this plate can stop at 3:08 all the 556 rounds the green tip the 8553 the 910 something I don’t remember and I don’t care. Go to the companies website please they will show you videos. They will show you facts and extreme detail. I mean these guys are number one. I just wanted to let you know you can have a much letter rig stop at 3:08 green tip whatever but I get Carrying level four especially if a war breaks out I’d want to have level four I just wanted to correct that
Like Zero mentioned, there isn't really one piece of kit that does it all and load outs will vary situationally. For longer engagements, weight becomes a factor fast, and oftentimes the ability to move quickly is what saves lives.
I am very inexperienced with Helmet protection as you know that money men in war die from having a bad helmet. It’s for shrapnel if you’re lucky it’ll Ricky Shea a bullet right now at armored Republic they’re selling Helmet that’s called the protector helmet. It is an upgraded very much so with the straps the foam pads are made to lessen the gees of literally being shot ahead with a pistol caliber because it can stop it. It is a PASGT helmet. People see and say old-school this thing does everything all the other Helmet do it covers way more of your head, your ears your neck it has no shelflife so it will last forever. I have a cheap $400 night vision set it does the job for now I will be upgrading when the money comes in, of course up that can be done to the Helmet, you can take a rest and drill holes and put the night vision mount on there or you can do other options which I saw that looks kind of cheap trust me. I want the modern looking helmet but it’s $1200 $900 I can’t do that for Helmet, I still gotta buy a nuclear suit gloves and boots from MIRA. Water, food, water, purification bullets magazines repeat 30 times you guys have more experience than me except I did call you out on that green tip against the 3+ but you have to be at the right company for that so I don’t blame you. I really need advice with the border wide open I’m not trying to get political, but so many bad people coming I can see riots not in the cities. They’ll start going to the suburbs and I want to be a straight up soldier. I am very good with everything else, but I need the right helmet. I’d really appreciate any advice.

I always Field Strip My MREs I can get about 4 MREs into the size of one of your big packages there. Strip out the essentials and throw the rest away. Carry only one heater from the from the MREs or not at all. Carrie at least two Bic lighters wrapped in duct tape. A small Altoids tin with cotton balls soaked in Vaseline. Many uses for KY.😂😂

Bluds prepping to fight the GWOT all over again. 10-12 pounds of armor is not going to serve you as well as 10-12 pounds of extra rations and survival gear. A gunfight is the number one thing to be avoided. You'd also probably want to consider medical fluids, a stretcher, and long term casualty care solutions. There is no MedEvac in this scenario, and guys that get injured are going to need long term care. Also put more gear on your belt and less on your shoulders, your back will thank you for that.
We’ve all humped around a lot of gear, & all have a little different take on our approach. Zero and I, were actually still discussing this point in the parking lot today after work.
Our new video (dropping tomorrow 🙌🏼) is actually covering more of the medical topics. We have some pretty high speed docs within reach, so could staff a nice makeshift hospital if needed.

I’m a big fan of carrying a plate carrier and LBV separate rather than integrating them. I was taught by a ranger sniper so I’m just more comfortable being light and mobile and will probably carry extra mags rather than plates. But I’m also rural focused. Urban would be another situation.
Just remember folks, don’t waste so much money on fancy gear, have a basic rifle platform and vest, you’re going to be able to find plenty of loot after firefights and general unrest situations. No reason to waste money tricking out your single fire weapons when you’re gonna drop them for the first select fire one you come across.

I dont remember seeing anything like a knife or multitool. I could be wrong and missed it but if not why didnt you show it? Another thing, is there a reason you dont run a side arm? I know it's never as useful as your primary but idk why you wouldnt at least carry a .22 pistol for some small game hunting if you needed to, then it's better than nothing if your primary goes down. None of this is criticism. I'm actually curious about your views on these matters.
I love the scenario I think just as much as everyone else that might read this lol but I also don't expect it to ever come to that. Can't really stealth fly in 100k troops so everyone knows our extremely powerful navy will intercept them before they even reach landfall. I honestly don't think even Russia and China working together could reach landfall in the US then if some managed they would be dropped rather quickly. We would hear the emergency alerts then two hours later get the all clear alert 😂
I can’t speak for “Zero”, but I think he was showing his set up based more closely to how grunts run their kit. Most aren’t issued sidearms. As you progress through the higher tears, you start to see side, arms, being commonly issued. However, some troops even at the highest levels “Teir 1” still don’t choose to carry a side on, feeling that the additional weight is not worth it. All in all could be its own video in and entirety, lol! That being said , I personally carry a sidearm, a fixed blade, and a Leatherman. Maybe check out our earlier equipment breakdown from episode one of the attack or our battle built breakdown to see some additional options. @@USOverwatch I knew that for the military. I just didn't know he was talking about a duty kit. I just looked at it as shtf gear. Which I think a fixed blade and a solid Leatherman is definitely in the top five things to grab no matter what the scenario is. Me personally even my primary would change depending on the scenario but that fixed blade and multi tool will always be a go to. If I was in a group the 556 would be the go to because you can carry more plus share with buddies and when you have 6 guns pointed in the same direction there will be so much lead flying the enemy won't notice the difference between a 556 or a 308. But me being more of a loner my go to is a 308 more of a dmr set up. I have to make every round count and my odds of getting through a straight up fire fight with a group of people is slim to none so I have to use more evade tactics and dirty tricks. So sniping, traps, and waiting for vulnerabilities. With any luck I can spend a couple days slowly picking at a group until it's safe enough to refuel and clean my pants
There’s definitely a ton of thing missing I could’ve added and you’re right a multitool is absolutely necessary I carry one every day myself which is why it didn’t come out of my pack . That being said this is just to get ideas flowing and you hit it right on the head no one gear dump will describe it all. But stay tuned for more to come in the future ! With all the high population density areas in the US I imagine there will be a lot of people stuck in that predicament. It would be nice if they knew how to get water, traverse safely, (possibly going "grey" technique) and even signal boosting for radio or communication

@@USOverwatch Ive got 1 of the newer Med tapered barrel 580 plus series model . my only complaint is the 1/9 twist which seems to work best with 55-65 grn so I zero with 60 grn hornady and call it good enough for minute of coyote at 300. up to a 100yds 55-77 dont matter theyll be minute of man. do dont get me wrong ive got a couple of M4 builds 1/8 . i got my Mini after I retired just because i had always wanted one. its become my favorite on the farm deer , hog , coyote etc. Thunder Ranch seems to speak highly of them or so ive read. plus im a 1911 guy as well. so i love to stir the pot. lol . ill try to figure out how to post some pics of targets shot offhand 10 rds rapid fire with a mag change at 100. M-4 and Mini , folks would be surprised. im old so yeah i use scopes on everthing lol except SG and sidearm. love the channel and the interest in things your generation of young Jedis are some of the best. I hope nothing ever happens. But alas hope is not a course of action. and we definately live in interesting times. Most likely it will come down to the last hundred yards for all of us. S/F!

I’m not trying to be rude, but I have to correct you with what you said about body armor having level four that’s fine if that’s what you wanna roll with it’ll stop pretty much anything. Go to armored Republic. They are the largest body armor company in America. I bought their shooters cut A2 - Alloy Body Armor level 3+. With their fraglock of course who wouldn’t buy that? It absorbs and catches the bullet so fragmentation will not hit your neck or head or legs and it has a 20 year shelflife it has stated and it has video showing the green tip. It can take multiple rounds. I saw them show one that was 10 years expired and they shot it 20 times with green tip and it didn’t do anything but punch it back, which is why you have a trauma pad it can even stop a 308 a normal 308 not armor piercing if you want to be protected from armor piercing, which I think you’re not gonna run into somebody that are never anything’s possible but the fact that this plate can stop at 3:08 all the 556 rounds the green tip the 8553 the 910 something I don’t remember and I don’t care. Go to the companies website please they will show you videos. They will show you facts and extreme detail. I mean these guys are number one. I just wanted to let you know you can have a much letter rig stop at 3:08 green tip whatever but I get Carrying level four especially if a war breaks out I’d want to have level four I just wanted to correct that

Like Zero mentioned, there isn't really one piece of kit that does it all and load outs will vary situationally. For longer engagements, weight becomes a factor fast, and oftentimes the ability to move quickly is what saves lives.

I am very inexperienced with Helmet protection as you know that money men in war die from having a bad helmet. It’s for shrapnel if you’re lucky it’ll Ricky Shea a bullet right now at armored Republic they’re selling Helmet that’s called the protector helmet. It is an upgraded very much so with the straps the foam pads are made to lessen the gees of literally being shot ahead with a pistol caliber because it can stop it. It is a PASGT helmet. People see and say old-school this thing does everything all the other Helmet do it covers way more of your head, your ears your neck it has no shelflife so it will last forever. I have a cheap $400 night vision set it does the job for now I will be upgrading when the money comes in, of course up that can be done to the Helmet, you can take a rest and drill holes and put the night vision mount on there or you can do other options which I saw that looks kind of cheap trust me. I want the modern looking helmet but it’s $1200 $900 I can’t do that for Helmet, I still gotta buy a nuclear suit gloves and boots from MIRA. Water, food, water, purification bullets magazines repeat 30 times you guys have more experience than me except I did call you out on that green tip against the 3+ but you have to be at the right company for that so I don’t blame you. I really need advice with the border wide open I’m not trying to get political, but so many bad people coming I can see riots not in the cities. They’ll start going to the suburbs and I want to be a straight up soldier. I am very good with everything else, but I need the right helmet. I’d really appreciate any advice.
I think Hard Headed Veterans sell pretty decent helmets at a reasonable cost. You may want to give them a try. 🤙
