This is a great production and it left me with more questions than ideas. This will come across snarky but not intended as I'm really trying to gain ideas of needed items vs marketed items. I liked the set up in the truck however, the rear hatch window was the obvious security risk compared to the side windows. Not sure if there are potentials to fortifying a fiberglass shell. Great ideas though. I got lost when you spoke about carrying just enough water to get you to where you have resupply opportunities but then go on to carry 3 rifles for raiding buildings, tripod mounted 600m COD headshots, and light duty battle rifle. Not to get into the weeds about your ideology of preparing-- but are you setup to get to the resupply/rally point "home" or beyond? Hope you have plans to increase the range of the truck and to transport water.
Nice timing you've got Tim currently setting up some gear for the car so taking note's just heard today that's the nighthawk being sent out to me aswell man I'm looking forward to receiving that n got a nightstalker cqc ordered aswell thanks for sharing your knowledge brother
Say Tim since your back from the knife show, do you have any Blems available? Also looking at the Warthog that knife would be bad ass with a ring like the Gideon V3, Love the Night Stalker and the Stricker.
I think you should have the most simple and therefore reliable vehicle. Easy to fix, easy to maintain. Also, an armored vehicle, like those used for transportation of money, could be useful. Fuel consumption is an issue too.
I love the wylde. I have the cmmg .22 kit but one of my .223’s doesn’t function properly using it. I get powder blow by and lots of stove pipes. Runs great with all 556 stuff. I need to try it with my Seekins.
Oh my how times have changed!!! I use to have a hammer saw ladders and some lumber in my truck LoL but I love the set up!!! I know he don’t live in a Cali hood cops would go ape shit when they pull you over. I just carry what it says on my CCW
If we are following the rules of gun safety, no gun needs to be 'clear.' Also, painting that gun will break up the black way better. Those hard outlines will be easy to spot in the woods, if that's the goal/plan. Aside from that, excellent video.
Agreed on the ‘clear’. You wouldn’t believe the amount of people that will comment about you not showing that if firearm is clear on UA-cam like they’re in danger on the other side of their phone. I typically do make my rifles multi-tone with diffent colors of stocks, hand guards, paint etc. These are still really new, so I’m enjoying them being pretty. Again excellent advice
@@TkellKnives Those people complaining are basically pointing out a classic joke: Tell me you haven't received professional training without saying you haven't received professional training. You've got a really awesome rig there. I only say paint the gun because after painting a few things I'm obsessed haha. And I appreciate you taking the time to send a reply and thank you for the compliment. Cheers, brother.
UA-cam creates alot of “experts”. It’s easy to tell by observation of vernacular and movements who has and has not spent actual time behind a weapon. They see the gun tuber show clear all the time and they think that that’s what you’re supposed to do because they don’t have any experience around other humans using weapons systems. When in reality, those of us that have to deal with UA-cam guidelines, know that showing a clear weapon or announcing a clear weapon or unloaded weapon will keep your video from being blocked, shadow banned, or demonetized. I have a very vivid memory of a PMI in the Marine Corps slamming a student to the ground at MCT, kneeing him in the face, because he flagged the line with a known UNLOADED M-16. If you don’t practice proper firearms safety in the environment that I come from, getting kneed in the face is the least traumatic thing that can happen. Same here I have a collection of plastic foliage, netting, various earth tones of rattle cans from krylon, and alumahyde, tapes etc. all for “art projects” to break up the signature of gear.
Hey Tim, I feel ya on holsters for the x-Macro. Try the Muddy River Tactical iwb! Fits the TLR 7A and is a sweet holster. Love it. Also, love my Stryker and Sapper!! Thanks for this video. Love your ideas!
Love the set up and i wouldnt suggest running 5.56 through a .223 barrel but you can run .223 through a 5.56 barrel no problem. Also nato round is 5.56 so it could go iether way with abundance of ammo around i would rather have a 5.56 than a 223 and since i have a 5.56 i can run 223 with no problems again my friend messed his up bad he had to geta new upoer he thought he had a 5.56 and so thats what he always shot through a few thousand rounds later took to gun smith and he said dude wrecked it shooting only 5.56 through a 223 barrel smoked it .
Solid advice brother. That’s why I I run a 223 wylde. It gives you the accuracy of a 223, but handles the chamber pressures in 556, but only a 223 wylde will handle those pressures.
I have a get home bag as well. Different missions require different gear. Don’t pigeonhole yourself into thinking a get home bag will cover your every need.
I really liked the fact that you crawled up in the back of the truck and showed ‘if I need to get at my stuff, this is what it’s going to involve……but laid out with a purpose’, not just dump out all your pretties and say ‘yeah, I haul this around every day and it fits in (insert empty daily driver pic here)’
Like the metal Molly over the windows, but I would want them on hingers so you can swing them down to access windows for airflow if you end up sleeping in the back.
I have 2 trucks that’s being done for SHTF. My 98.5 Ram 2500 and 16 Ram 1500. Both are 4x4 just a warning you can $pend lots of $$$$$$$ on a truck build out. So always think outside the box and do plenty of research. I’m going to do a video on my 16 Rambox I have a topper that I modified

So I'm just going to add some observations. First and foremost you seem to have all your eggs in one basket - of course I have no idea what other kit you have/how your organized. With that said, what is truck used for? is it reliable? accessible? when it goes down what will happen to all that gear (running around with 5 firearms would be dififcult). How many people are included in this loadout? Three people makes more sense than a one man show. My one suggestion would be to add a bedslide on top of the decked system. reaching the front of box when geared up means unloading, making you vulnerable to having to repack each time. Plus you don't have to climb into a space half height due to the decked and canopy. Interesting loadout. I like the repurposed molle security panels - two birds, one stone sort of thing.
Like it. Love it. Want it..! When SHTF I'll be in the truck right behind yours.....so don't shoot please. Would love it if you can take the beast off road for us too see its performances. Thank you for your service Digger. Cheers from Australia.
Thank you very much. I hope my approach helps, I personally love seeing what others do to get ideas from. Thank you, we try very hard. We appreciate it more than you know.
Some excellent quality stuff.👍👍 I would add a 22LR rifle and ammo box of 5,000 rds. Hand crank/solar radio; professional BLS/Medic Bag of medical gear; FOOD.....FOOD.....and more FOOD; more water filters, 2x USGI water cans, and 2x USGI Jerry fuel cans. SHTF is about balance. Tkink all classes of supply.
Those would be some great additions. I do have lots and lots of food, ammo, and water storage in my sheltering location, my truck is more set up to get me out of the immediate situation should things go sideways while I’m out. To be able to survive to get out. I take more of a SERE approach. My aim is to get the hell out of there. I’m never not within range of that location. The my medic kit I have mounted in the back is very comprehensive first aid, even up to heavy trauma but you can never have too much first aid gear. The three day three person kit made by decked for food water shelter is very comprehensive, especially for its size. But again my truck is not set up for long-term shelter in Place survival.
@@TkellKnives I understand. I like the way you set up the truck. Watch the Canadian prepper and the Silky Outback hand saws. If one needs heat or fire they are the best.
I was thinking the same thing. Why bust out a side window when the rear hatch is the most vulnerable and has the greatest accessibility to the contents. I do like the Molle set up for convenience.
@ooie1975g there’s other people that have commented on this in the thread. The rear window is currently ballistic Lexan with upgraded locks. I have plans to add MOLLE panels to it as well, but when I did, I realized that I needed upgraded hydraulic shocks and if not done that yet. as far as the water like, I said, in the video I have three days worth of water for three people. That should be enough to allow me the ability to find more water and if I do, there’s of room in the back of my truck to store water. There’s no reason to debate what rifles I choose.
