    I know this is about gardening, but what Paul says about the kid not being allergic to apples in the beginning of the video can be applied to all other aspects. I have severe eczema, dry skin, and allergies, and I've been on prescription topical steroids for 9 years, and I've been taking various medicines and pills for allergies. After discovering Paul, I quit using all of my medicine and anything with chemicals. Now, only two weeks after going completely natural, my skin is in better condition than it was for at least 1/2 of the time I was taking all those medicines. Before, my eyes would always swell and itch in the spring, but now there's no itching and no sign of swelling.
    This experience has totally made me realize that I was never the one with the problem. I must have actually had a pretty finely-tuned immune response since I reacted so significantly to things.

    I called up Paul today to ask some questions on planting bulbs. We talked a bit about the farm I work on part time and how I never really noticed what was going on until I watched Back to Eden and your videos. We also talked about how with the government involvment in food and monsanto it will be at the point where we have no choice but to plant,and raise our own food to live. All in all it was a great talk and he was so giving with everything he knows.

      +Tony Hyden I have been gardening with the BTE method for 3 years now, and it is the answer to all of my gardening needs. My garden looks just like Paul's. It is absolutely beautiful, and each year it gets better and better. I am building a chicken coop& run. It is a real blessing to have learned this method of gardening.

    Thank you Paul for sharing the abundance of videos. The creator must have let the internet flourish for the power of knowledge is incredible. I may have never known how to garden the right way. I used to think if you want a garden then you have to till. It feels good to be in touch with nature and creator and is so simple that it's riveting. Just goes to show you how out of touch I used to be and never knew it. I plan to do my best to start a backyard garden that can sustain my family.
    Thanks again!!!

    I wonder if the things they say need full sun, need that because where there is full sun, there is little competition for the nutrients/minerals in the soil. Maybe it's not the amount of sun so much as it is the availability of nutrients. Seems this could be why Paul is able to plant close together and under trees-bc his soil is rich and alive

    If you are doing wood chips in the fall leave the roots in the plants in and chop and drop the stems before you add your chips! You will create an abundance of tunnels and food for the worms! Do this every year! The roots are free fertilizer and creates michorizal fungi which the soil organisms need.

    Thank you Nicho for bring the three of you to all of us. It is a blessing in so many ways. Both you and Paul for your years of knowledge, you for going into the more details , and all of you for sharing your knowledge and love of God. I do believe God is using you all mightily for these times. So many are wanting to get into homesteading which brings them to your channel but he is also using this lea d to fill a search for more and I believe God is using your platform to teach others or introduce others to the word, faith, and the results you get from having a relationship with the Father. When God brings younger people to you that think the Bible is just a book of fables written by many who just made things up. But when you all gently and tolerantly speak the word. Open their door to giving the word, trusting him for results and answers , explaining that they can talk to God, ask for proof he is real, and wait and watch for him to show them...... you are doing the work of God and for God... of bringing lost sheep back into the fold. Not only are you teaching men to fish so he can feed him self for life literally but so they can feed their souls for life. Both are so very important but none more important than to feed souls. Nick it is such a pleasure to see a young man physically strong, sure in his knowledge, and strong in the Lord. I don’t know if you date, I don’t think you have to because I know God will bring the right girl at the right time and ask him to send you the one wife for one life and steer away any and all ungrounded looneys. We all love you out here sweet boy. Are praying for your health to resolve, and give you strength without tiring and and wisdom to know when to rest and let God work on your behalf. We thank you for sharing some of you world views to without being pushy but I do think we are to plant the seeds in that Richard a.m. ask people to have open mind and look into matters that could be affecting our lives long-term and changing America and the freedoms we have always known. God is asking much if you both on the farm and with you audience. Peace be with you and be grateful in the Lord that hey plans on the radio channel for not only your good health as well. I do believe you will see where your subscribers start growing in an amazing way. Love the three of you live streams and your individual teaching of beginning farming and homesteading. Maybe you can show us sometime to your method of preserving food sto store for potential famines that God speaks of in the times that we are in. I don’t have a dehydrator but wonder if there are alternate ways to effectively rehydrate food without the expense of a dehydrator. God bless Nick you’re a beautiful person, always say that right with your beautiful soul. We love Carol she is full of wisdom as well maybe you can show her how to live stream and she can start having a evening of Bible study and discussion and natural remedies that she has have and God has confirmed.🙏❤️

    I love all of your videos, I have come up with yet another question. Your orchard, do you have any problems with growing things that are supposed to be only for tropical climates. I almost don't want to ask the question because I have a feeling I know the answer.

    • @L2Survive
      @L2Survive  8 років тому

      +LaRhonda Smith The biggest hurtle to growing things is how cold tolerant are they. This is why we have growing zones. Paul could grow a lot of things in his garden but, because they would die in the winter, he cannot. His biggest wish is to get an avocado tree that could withstand the winters in Sequim WA.

    Great videos, love his ideas. One technical thing though which happens in a lot of you tube videos is that is hard to hear what he is saying at times. It seems that there is one microphone near the person filming so when this person speaks it sounds great but when he speaks at times is hard to hear.

      +LaRhonda Smith Paul has the baby chicks on an organic starter for a bit and the chickens may get some feed when it snows a lot and they ground freezes. I have a video of Paul's chicken coop where you can see the trash can full of feed. It has been the same level all the time that I've known him. The dogs and cats get leftovers and eggs then eat out of the garden the rest of the day. Watch this video called "Feeding The Critters" ua-cam.com/video/GRuHdfqvCx4/v-deo.html

    L2Survive I've watched pretty much all these videos and have 2 major questions:
    1. Paul mentioed in one of his videos that he doesn't struggle with insects or disease the way he did in the beginning. What does he recommend doing during the first few years of starting a Back To Eden garden when dealing with those issues?
    2. When turning commercially farmed land into a Back To Eden garden, do you need to clean the soil somehow, or just add wood chips?
    Thanks a ton!

    • @L2Survive
      @L2Survive  9 років тому

      jordanandkeren If you put the tree mulch down now, next spring, it should be good to go. Less or no bugs from the start. Bugs eat distressed plants and leave the healthy alone. You can see this in one of my videos later this week. I have bugs for the first time eating one of my zucchini plants. 5 feet away I have a healthy plant they are leaving alone. Check out this video and it should touch on all of your questions. ua-cam.com/video/_rqBcFN27pk/v-deo.html

      L2Survive I've been doing this method for a few years, though I was tilling once a year (which I'm no longer doing). I'm in the south where its hot and humid, and even though I use shredded trees, and it was turning into compost, I still struggled greatly with fungus on my apple trees, early and late blight on my tomatoes, squash bugs, and cucumber beetles. Is it just different climates, or why would I struggle so bad with these things?

    • @cassityart7001
      @cassityart7001 9 років тому

      jordanandkeren Hello jordanandkeren: I used chipped branches and leaves but I too had beetles on my okra and picking at my beet greens so I watered the garden well with collected rain water and the next day when I was harvesting I saw a little toad-really little. Then I looked closely and saw 20 to 30 of it's brothers and sisters hopping around like a little army EATING those bugs as fast as they could get them in their mouth, swallowed and open again. We live in S.E. Tennessee and this is our third FIRST year BTE Garden. My neighbors are seeing the results of this method and finally have asked: "Now what the heck did you do here?" We are so thankful for Paul's willingness to share what God has given to him.

    When I first started to learn about permaculture, I too thought that these gardens would be like the garden of Eden. Your garden looks great.
    I am deeply concerned about your claims that make it seem that all of your gardening steps were told to you by God. Most of what you were doing was talked about in books like Gaia's Garden, by Toby Hemenway and Ruth Stout's gardening books. Ruth Stout was also a devout Christian. It came through in her books. It wasn't the constant "I asked God and God said this."
    That whole trying to look divinely special is the same thing used by sex cult and suicide cult leaders. But the one thing you have in your favor is that you didn't seem to be trying to recruit people into a cult from the first 45 min or so that I watched this before I fell asleep. If you are sincere, more emphasis that anyone can have this connection to God earlier on and it will clean up a lot of the cringe.
    God bless you.

      This is what true spiritual enlightment is. But looking at it from the shadows might make someone to mistake it for many other things.

      Edit Fazekas oh ya, and your judgment on what true spiritual enlightenment is absolute?
      Cult leaders convince others that they are spiritually enlightened. And their followers are convinced that dear leader is enlightened.
      This guy’s methods of mulching are nearly identical to Ruth Stout, who was doing this in the 1970’s. She was also a devout Christian. In her books she was honest enough about how accidental her discoveries were. There was no God told me this and God told me that. That just screams false prophet and turns a lot of people off.

    Nice gardening approach. Too bad about all the bible humping, though.

      True, but ... Who invented "science"? Scientists only "discover" the scientific laws. They don't make them. The Law of Gravity works just the same on believers as it does on atheists.
      It is wonderful to see Paul give the glory to God for these natural methods which are self-sustaining and beneficial to the earth, the vegetable kingdom, to every form of life on this planet.
      I don't see anybody praising God for the invention of carcinogenic, genetically-alterative chemicals.

      I dont understand. The fact that humans didn't invent the laws of nature means the Bible is true?

    • @rubygray7749
      @rubygray7749 8 років тому +1

      So are you suggesting that all these scientific laws with their complexity and reproducible order, just invented themselves out of chaotic nothingness?
      I think the fact that the Bible is true means that we, having been made in the image of God, can invent things too.

      Ruby Gray No. I'm suggesting that nobody knows. Not me, not you. But you didn't answer my question: The fact that humans didn't invent the laws of nature means the Bible is true?

      The Bible narrative, written by scores of authors (including Nebuchadnezzar) over thousands of years, running in a continuous self-affirming timeline from Creation to the end of this world as we know it, is simply the most logical, believable, scientifically-compatible description of the meaning of life physical, moral and spiritual.
      Its thousands of prophecies, many of them so far fulfilled to the minutest detail, are the best evidence of this fact.
      More prophecies are being fulfilled within our own days.

    I saw a recent study result, and it turns out railroad ties don't leach any harmful, or negatively affecting bad chemicals into the soil. Biology can digest all the elements involved. 🇨🇦👊🏻👨🏻‍🌾💖🙏
