- Best-of-5 series of professional StarCraft 2 between Serral (Zerg) and ShoWTimE (Protoss). In this series Serral decides to cheese in practically every game, even though he's usually a macro Zerg. These games were played in the lower bracket of the HomeStory Cup 22 playoffs.

This is the darkest Serrel in the darkest timeline. The Cheese is superb, a fine series indeed. Showtime did a great job also, most people could not hold up to that assault.

Harstem has said that Serral is the most dangerous if he has nothing to lose (more like doesn't care about losing). But if he's trying to win or protect his ranking, etc., that's where he gets pretty rigid and "boring". I hope he gets knocked down again. It's always awesome to see his climb back up like what happened earlier this year in Katowice when he entered god mode.
Smoke detectors can activate with high humidity in room, since the inner part of the sensor is could be cooler than the room temperature and vapor can condense in it, which disturbs the chemistry or beam check of the sensor.
Sometimes the dust fall inside the sensor (for a long time) and if you don't clean it regularly, the slightest movements in the air (like moving on the bed, a draft from poorly closing windows etc) can show it like there is a fire.
It was detecting the high humidity of sweaty nerds :D

Oh my god thats what keeps happening when I shower and leave the door open (for air circulation, I have a tiny bathroom without windows). I literally thought its the smoke particles stuck in my hair that get into the detector with the steam. Good to know haha

Lowko, be aware that smoke detectors can also detect carbon monoxide, that sometimes can be generated without a large fire. If you're in doubt, call the fire department, they have a device that can measure the CO levels. These days the same thing happened to me, but it was not a false positive, the heater was really leaking CO gas, and we had to evacuate the house.

Hey lowko, at 12:15 your smoke detectors probably need their batteries changed. If you have a few of them in your home, one needing a battery replacement can cause them all to go off if they're wired to power together. Contact your maintenance team via work order if you live in an apartment complex, they'll have it situated in a few minutes. Or, if you want to yourself, you can also change them. It's usually a side compartment with a 9-volt battery that just slips in and out.

If it's an ionization smoke detector and the dust has an opposite electrostatic charge of the ionized air in the sensor chamber, it could get attracted to it once airborne. IIRC some ionization smoke detectors have a bit of americium-241 in them that ionizes the air so there's a chance that what woke you up was a little tidbit of *freedom* .
The kid who built a reactor in his back yard scavenged his radioactive material from old smoke detectors.

Smoke detectors tend to beep "for no reason" if the battery is about to die so you know when to replace them ahead of time. Worth checking out

Smoke detectors are sometime carbon monoxide detectors also, but they should beep a different alarm

Serral's new rush is smoking that crack.
Some uncharacteristic mistakes from them both, but an extremely well played match by both players.
It felt a little bit like two boxers, except one of the boxers decided to turn it into a straight up gun fight with extras and everything and neither of them actually started with a gun. The scrambling and chaos that ensued made good entertainment tho

@Lowko - smoke detectors going off from time to time for no reason could be an indication that the battery is getting low and should be changed as well :)
Someone did that to me on platinum league a few weeks ago. Needless to say it wasn’t *quite* as well executed as that.

when my parent's smoke detector went off, they grabbed a broom, and was 'sweeping' the air to get the smoke away from the detector.
I'd recommend to find out why the smoke detector went off, or, was it chirping or constant, if it's chirping, it means the battery is low.
I need to tell people about this. I was playing sc2 as you do. In platinum league and was playing as zerg against skytoss. Now I am allergic to making corruptors so I am going hydras and I actually use microbial shroud proficiently for the first time in 2 years since the ability came out.
Shroud gets countered by storm though.

we must thank newton for his invention of gravity. he creation has had direct consequence on sc2, without him, it would be possible for 2000 atmosphere and data-c to function properly

At day he is a nice and kindly person, but never hold him away from bed. Then its showtime for the badass mode.

i've seen the production overly in some matches actually show an icon for chronoboosting but not on this overlay. does anyone know why or is that a new thing not often used?

They should really consider tweaking contamination to make it a viable indirect harassment option for zerg, either it needs reduced energy cost, or the overseer needs an energy regen upgrade.
i think we need anyhow/anyway counters in future videos :D

FFA doesn't really work at a competitive level because the optimal strategy is basically always to just turtle and do nothing. Even if you succeed at attacking someone, you'll still end up losing because it costs too much to do it.
It either turns into a game where players make agreements to let one of them win and split the prize or a game where all of the players turtle and nothing happens until people get too bored.

2 freaking Cannon in each mining base could prevent all those PROBE damage and I dunno. Some pros just not as considerate
