  • As someone who benefits tremendously from seeing than reading, I figured that I would create a video showing how I crochet my bralette cups. I really like the outcome each time I use this technique and it has definitely taken a lot of trial and error! But I hope you find this tutorial helpful!

    A disclaimer for anyone wanting to make this - if you have anything above a B cup it won't work. Unfortunately it wasn't specified so I spent hours on cups that completely warped and curved. Took me forever to find out the problem, but if you have bigger cups you need to have way more starting chains, probably 16

    • @AshtenStitches
      @AshtenStitches  9 місяців тому

      Thank you for this! When I made this video, I didn’t make it known to have a larger starting chain (something I know and use regularly now) and definitely would like to update this to accommodate for larger cup sizes!

    I’m confused… after you crochet 12 you go into the 3rd stitch and single crochet then say single crochet into the next 10 stitches but there aren’t 10 stitches to crochet in after crocheting in the 3rd stitch, then after the first row of single crochets u said chain one and turn your work but after the 2nd row u said go into the chain 2 and single crochet 3 times but there was never a chain 2 we only crochet 1 before turning our work so Idk I’m just a perfectionist and lost.

      Yes! It will always be the middle stitch of those 3 at the top! I will be making an updated version of this tutorial so hopefully it can help people better!

    Such a good teacher! Thankyou! Only question: how do you end off the cup once it is the right size?

  • @annalawes3540
    @annalawes3540 3 роки тому

    the bottom of the cup never ends up being straight, and it curves upwards, so the bottom looks like a semi circle. can someone help?

    I know you’ve just posted videos on how to connect the cups but how do you connect them by doing the same pattern as you’ve done with the pink one where there’s little holes under the cups? Xx

      If you would like to send any pics so I can help you better, you can send it to my Instagram!! But it sounds like you may have been forgetting to place a single crochet in the very first stitch when you start a new row! If you need it written out better, I also have a free written pattern for this linked in the description on my Ko-Fi :)

    What's the difference if you use acrylic yarn instead of cotton?

    • @LilMissFangirl
      @LilMissFangirl 4 роки тому

      @@AshtenStitches Thank you! I prefer cotton so far too, but I just got a bundle of acrylic and thought it'd be pretty for this. :)
