The idea for the piece arose from a childhood memory of watching fish at the beach that were still struggling with the fishermen’s nets. This reproduction of space and memory, which combines poetry and sharpness, is a characteristic that runs throughout the artist’s work, transforming what is visual into an allegorical dimension. Entirely glazed in white, “A Dish with Fish” gives us the essence of Pedro and Raphael in a lively and expressive dialogue which enriches an already emblematic collection.
