Love that you have the 2 and 3 herringbone spiral tutorials, I’ve needed ideas for chains to use with smaller pendants that I make. Thanks Jill!
Ugh...I went through TUBES of beads with the two bead spiral - this one is even better!!! Thank you so much for your mad skills!!
I'm so happy to see this! As a lampworker and a member of a bead society - I'm trying to find 'easy' necklaces so I can hang my lampwork pendants. I think this is just what I need! THANK YOU. Now I need to do some screen captures and create myself a tutorial from your hands so I do not forget how. Whoopie Skippie! I appreciate this so much.
B/c I am slightly dyslexic I find beading a little difficult, but I still like doing it, so I appreciate your clear instruction and that it's posted so I can re-watch all the time. Thank you.
Jill I love your tutorials. You said in this one about a regular herringbone stitch tube collapsing. I use tubing in mine. The tubing you use either in a fish tank or from oxygen. It works great
Oh my I'm in love. This stitch/pattern/ lesson is amazing. Seed beads are my favorite beads. Thank you Jill you are awsome!!!!
Very clear instructions and demonstration, resulted in a very elegant chain made with size 15 gold beads for my enamel pendant!
Thank you so much , Jill!
Oh so glad to be back on board with following you. Couple of years in abeyance, but back to my bead love and watching you again.
All is good!
Thank you Jill for your time and beautiful work. I love your tutorials. And, you look so much better with your short hair style 💕
Excellent! I have been struggling with the two bead spiral then I learned that the beads MUST be the same size! Alas, I was using Chec size 11 and they were NOT the same!! Lesson learned!
Now I've got to try three...same size....beads! Thank you Jill....you keep me learning!
Jill you are a wonderful lady and teacher. I have watched a lot of your videos to learn bead weaving stitches. Excellent...thank you.
I've made two 3-bead ropes now; they are so soft & pretty. Absolutely LOVE this stitch. Thank you, Jill. ~~~> Funny thing though, I made a "mistake" between watching your video the first time and reviewing it just now - I load 2 beads for every stitch! I don't do two steps, adding 1 bead then 2 beads. And it looks perfectly fine. Sooo much easier than remembering two steps.
I recently figured out how to do the three bead herringbone and it felt great! It is great for pendent and bracelets that are much more dainty than other herringbone stitches. Thank you for the video. I was going down three and up two, and I now see I was just wasting thread! Great video! Thanks Jill!
Herringbone makes my heart beat faster!!!! Thanks for this... I love ropes and have been wanting a more dainty one. Thank you Jill for taking the time and giving this to us.
So glad that I finally had the time to watch this video. Thank you Jill for a new "add" to my set of techniques!
Love the new hairdo so cute love you too Jill keep up the good work... happy beading always😊
Love these. I used to crochet ropes, but this seems much easier to do and you don't have to string you beads onto your thread beforehand.
I’m new to rope beading & you just gave me an idea of what to do with all the different pendants I bought that are too good for just a simple chain. 👏👏👏
Thanks for sharing a new design. And your new ‘do’ is fabulous on you😻
Love this and the two bead spiral. Nice a dainty
Great video, Jill!
I never would've guessed it was so simple. I love a 6 bead herringbone in 11's & 8's (haven't tried 15's), but sometimes it is nice to have a more narrow diameter rope. Love the look. TFS!

If you put a 15° in the right position and an 11° in the left position, the "Twist" will be even more noticeable. And of course it works with 11° (R) and 8° (L)....
Thanks for explaining how to do the three bead spiral. It is great! I'm going to try it. Jill, I learn so much from your videos. Your time to do them is much appreciated. Your new hairstyle looks great!
Just found your site from a friend telling me about you. Skype with my bead buddy, made my first two bead herringbone spiral. Love it..you hands on teaching is just what I need and you do it so well and I look at your other projects you mentioned.
Thank you so much.
Thank you for showing this easy steep.
Recently I purchased a beautiful glass pendant but it's really small. I think this stitch would make the perfect rope to hang this pendant. Thank you for doing this video Jill. Love the new hairdo. You look gorgeous.
Love this. Nice and easy to do but very effective. Thank you for all that you give freely.
You are an absolute treasure! Thank you so much for sharing this technique.
I love herring bone, and I love this three bead herring bone for a bracelet or necklace the best. Thank you Jill, 😊😘
Jill, you just better every time. I am unpacking my beads after supper. Holidays are fast approaching.
Love the 3 bead spiral. Thank you for sharing this tutorial.
Oooo, I can't wait to give this a try! Thanks, Jill, for explaining and demonstrating this stitch for us.
Loved this for a new pendant I just made. LOVE your new hairdo!!
Jill I just love your instructional videos!
This is SO cool. I’ve been away from beading for a while but recently decided to have another go lol. I love herringbone, always have, and I actually think I learned it from you many years ago. I’ve been wanting a slim (but not flat) bracelet to sit along side my watch. I think this is it! For spirals though, my personal preference was to go down 1, up 2 and for me, less thread showed going that way. It’ll be interesting to see if works on this. Thanks for sharing!!!
Great teaching! You are very easy to follow.
Thank you for doing this work! That’s exactly what I was looking for as a Christmas present for someone how likes only delicate Juwellary and I’m going to do it in 15/0 beads. 👍
Jill I just love your ending ❤ Thank you for another Great Video
WOW! Love the three herringbone rope looks quick and easy and fun to do, I sure hope to give it a try! Thank you for sharing! Hugs Liz...
That looks really pretty and fun to do. I am going to try making a bracelet first then a necklace. I love your videos Jill. They are so helpful and you are a great teacher. 👍
Finally got it....super fun technique. Thanks Jill!

Loving your hair Jill it really suits you
Thank you Jill amazing tutorial. Love it so much
Thank you for the video. I discovered that the bead you come out of on the top is the bead colour that you pick up plus the next bead.
Love this and can't wait to try this. Thanks so much Jill for graciously sharing your knowlege and time.
Beautifully simple idea, thank you. (Love the new hairstyle!)

I love your videos and how you instruct so clearly! I’m new to beading, however, and need to know how you would add a clasp for this particular piece. Do you have some videos that show how to add a clasp on these exact ends? Thank you

You are amazing! I love your videos and you look wonderful!
I love the spiral herringbone ropes, thank you for the tutorials. What ideas do you have for clasps.
You look so good !!!!
Very beautiful nd the explanation nd ur voice is so attractive mam i like the way u r explaining mam one small request please show how to attach the clasps for this design i hope ill see u again nd thanks for sharing for sharing 👌👌👌👍👍👍
Why does the thread show? I had the same problem with the 2 bead spiral, so I gave that up as I do not like thread showing! Other than that you are my favorite to learn from, & then I teach a small class at a Senior Retirement Home ( individual apartments) where I live!!
Lorraine Holstrom I think the trick is when Jill says....encourage it to lean....that is where you want to kind of push the bead you are coming up through to move closer to the other bead...this limits the thread from showing so much...I am just starting this rope but I suspect it’s easier to ‘hide’ the thread the more you practice this stitch...
This is a reply I posted to someone else...hope it helps
I found a solution(for me), the thread still shows but it blends in better. I am adding only one bead at a time, instead of two...then one. Yes it is a little slower, but the result is worth it.
Me encantan todos sus trabajos me gustaría que las traducciones fueran en español gracias
Hi mam I am one of ur fan,nd ur explanation is very nice to follow,👌👌👌, but u showed only how to make but not finishing, how to finish it attach clasp for this design, please 🙏🙏share because I want to make but end is not come out well, I hope I'll get reply with sharing 🙏🙏🙏👍
These are gorgeous. How would we add the clasps? Do you have a video for that? Or can we join the ends and make it into a bangle? Would really appreciate a reply...am planning to make this next! 🥰
Thanks so much for your informative tutorials! I made a 2 bead herringbone rope, now I'm doing the 3 bead herringbone. I have mastered the technique but I'm wondering if my tension is the reason that I see the threads. I'm using cream, turquoise and multicolored bead with navy thread. Should I use a nylon alternative like fireline? Thanks again! Please keep the videos coming!
Update:
I found fishing line of .15mm and .13mm and bought them online. I live in Turkey and finding some materials can be very challnging! This morning I remembered what I heard in a tutorial about threads for beading and thought I'd look at fishing lines. Sure enough an online fishing supply vendor has a lot of choices. I hope that the ones I ordered will be ok because I really hate the thread due to splitting and the difficulty of threading the needles.
That's my question exactly. I tried it 3 times & could always see the threads. I have never had this trouble with any bead techniques before, from Jill or anyone else. I don't know that I'll try again - life is too short.
Also, hope you got the fishing line & it's working well for you! :-)
Great..but how do you finish it and add a clasp?
