Glad you have a easier device to travel with that works well for you. Haven't a clue how any of this works but sure glad you've mastered them an you share your music here on utube. Time to get funky an jam!
Hello Markus, I would be really interested to know how the whole looper thing works. If it's raining outside and you can't play, you could make a video about how to do it. I think it would be really great. Otherwise keep it up, it's really great.
This a video about my setup. Have a look and let me know if you have any questions? There are also many videos about looping in general and Loopy Pro in particular ua-cam.com/video/nFzpbP2ut2I/v-deo.html
Markus: I'm a singer-guitar player. I'm looking for a midi foot pedal that I can generate base runs. For example, if I'm playing a song in the key of "C" I want to be able to press a button and get a "C" base arpeggio. Then press another Key And get an "F" arpeggio, then a "G" Then an "Am", etc. Will the soft step 2 or the FCB1010 do this for me? Thank you for your response
I travel around and play when I feel like it. I try to pick a spot where I don’t think anyone will mind. Sometimes, I get it wrong, but that’s fine. I go somewhere else.
@@MarkusK. Have you ever performed in Finland? 🇫🇮 May I ask, where your name Markus comes from? We in Finland have the same name written with the letter K 👍😊🤔. All the best in your life path and I hope I can listen your music for a long time... ✨✨
@@Maria_KL I was born in Holland. My passport shows Marcus but I prefer with a K. I haven't played in Finland yet but I am a big fan of your comedian guy! What's his name?
Thanks for the video! But how is the connection to the iPad and Loopy Pro works? and what midi adapter or hub would I need to connect the Beringuer Fcb1010 on the IPad lightning input? Sorry I’m very new on this and any help would be very much appreciated 🙏🏽☺️
Hey markus, thank you so much for being on the streets and sharing your knowledge. I am about to switch from hardware-loopers (4x Jamman express) to software looping. With the softstep it's not only going to be unlimited, but also more lightweight, what means a lot to me, cause i am traveling by bike. Now i am wondering how to configure the softstep, cause afaik kmi doesn't offer a softstep Editor for ios. Can you recommend an app for configuration or did you use a mac/pc for that? Wishing you no more trouble with any policepeople (cause of being amplified ;) 3:513:51
@@MarkusK. Yes, I have had it for about 2 years and programmed a couple of presets using the Advanced Editor. I use it in Cantabile for creating ideas or having fun, and Cubase when writing pieces. I also have the QuNeo and BopPad.
@@colinmorgan6733 How are you finding the boppad? I think they are upgrading at the moment, but I love the idea of it. Do you think I could program the softstep to trigger various loops from the dame button, pressing left, right etc?
Love learning about your setups Markus. You are the Jedi of street performance🤙

That's great. Looking forward to seeing it in action!Thx
Might try it out on the street today :)
Very helpful markus. Thank you!
Thanks for the comparison!
Very Cool Markus! I’d be interested to know what each button controls? Are you triggering any sounds or just starting and stopping loops and rec?
Yes, just controlling the individual loops
Regards from Poland 😊
Interesting. Thank you for sharing. May I ask what you use for your guitar sounds?
At the moment, I use a free app called Crunk by Nembrini, with a free delay in the Music Box suite
@@MarkusK. thank you. You are truly inspiring.
Hi Markus, what music box do you mean?
He is!! ✨👍🏽

They are just MIDI controllers
Thanks for your video. Good update. How you connect the stuff together? I mean audio interface + iPad + foot controller.
Via a USB hub
Thanks for your videos. I'm a fan. Can you also explain to us how you hit the streets? Do you get permits or do you just find a place to play? Thanks.

You need a powered hub to connect everything to the lighting input of the iPad
@@MarkusK. I mean the midi connector cable to the iPad and loopy pro
@@utropiks4617 the connection is from the usb hub, usb to lighting

I didn’t use an editor, just midi learn. But I hear mcmillen have a good editor
Greetings Marcus!! Is there any app that you've used to configure the FCB1010 to control presets for Loopy Pro. Thanks :)
I didn’t need any app. MIDI learn in Loopy Pro worked fine
I've got a SoftStep 2, it's very configurable. Still have my old FCB1010 with the UnO firmware but don't use it anymore.
Are you using up and down etc?

Haganos una demostració por favor de l'equip.........eres impresionante. Saludos desde Barcelona 😂😂
So, did you completely abandon the old pedal board?
Yes, it’s gathering dust 🙂
any issues with accuracy using the smaller sofstep keys ?
The softstep doesn’t mistrigger
