- Susan Wranik, Speaker, Writer, and Medical Professional, spoke at TEDxArcadia University on Saturday, April 1, 2012.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations) - Розваги
Yes words count and condition. It is amazing how many people choose the ugly way to say things. Thanks Susan for making a difference in me.
'Words are the most powerful drugs in the World'. Rudyard Kipling
Finally a talk which refrain people's using abusive words which is getting so common.
Thank you, Susan! My main take-aways: Use "I have explained myself?" instead of "Do you understand?" and the power of want/can/will. I'd already learned the negative side of the word "little" - are you going to your little meeting? And had vowed years ago to never use that word except in the context of actual size "what a little dog!" Thanks again, Susan. I always enjoy talking with you and seeing you and the video was a treat!
So true! The cycles of dysfunction must end and it starts with controlling what we say and how we say it.
I frequently use the mantra: "I can. I will. I am." I will adopt "I want. I can. I will." for times I feel less empowered. Thanks for a great talk!
An incredible speaker - with elocution & crispness. Her vernacular shows her to be intelligent & with a warehouse of vocabulary. Her approach to situations & afterward solutions prove, with her anecdotes & stories, to have a revealing of her being a woman of the world . . . no armchair debating sculptor of ideas but one who has seen & done & lived as few others.
Bravo, Ms. Wranik, bravo.
Proverbs says 'life and death are in the power of the tongue'. Thank you for the wisdom of your words.
Great listening! Will definitely pay more attention to how I say things from now on.
I loved this!!! POWERFUL... TY
Thank you so much ! I learned so much from your inspiring speech .
"The "Word" was made flesh and dwelt among US." Beautiful......
Really resonated with the latter half of this presentation.
Much love, peace and abundance.
Fantastic talk on the power of our words! oh I just thought should I use the word "fantastic" or find a better more descriptive word? Lol! you've got me thinking! loved it and loved your mother's description of your ballet recital. :)
worth spreading!
The story about the blind man was the best.
Awesome!
very interesting - Thanks
My nephew said to my mother when he was four, "My pockets are empty." Clearly, he did not ask for money.
Good 🌃 ma'am, I'm daily watching your show
True occult knowledge.
Is "I'm fixin' to ..." less script driven.
And you wonder, what is the most powerful word in the universe? To find out, sing HU every day. The free HU app shows how.
Can someone tell me the name of the video she was talking about around the 15:30 mark with the blind man?
It is not 3rd law of Newton rather than physics, as this subject has innumerable number of laws.
Much to take in here.
Including facial expression and body language during communication.
Being kind? Radical idea.
