I'm an 18 year old guy....I was addicted to porn for 6years and wasn't a Christian. But God's mercy allocated me and I was saved. The greatest decision I've made in this life is walking the path of Christ Jesus.
That is great. This story is a good one because it shows how thankful God is truly. Even after six years stuck in sin God was able to forgive you, how great is that? Praise to Christ!

As someone who fornicated before and after committing to Christ, I’m so thankful so many are hearing this message. Whilst you may never go “too far” from being saved, there is genuine reason why God instructs discipline, respect and restraint when it comes to our sexuality. It is a gift to be cherished, not abused. Dedicate your minds - and body - to Christ. By doing so, you grow so much closer to Him. God bless.

@@morganmillar6989 I think as men it’s always gonna be something we struggle with. I completely cut out porn from my life about 2 months ago and it’s drastically decreased my thoughts of lust, I’ve felt happier, more present in my daily life, better memory (I also cut out weed so that’s probably a factor too for that one) my self confidence has gone up, and I’ve honestly just felt more like a man, don’t know how to describe it but the constant denial to give into my fleshly desires reminded me how much stronger I am than I thought I’ve always struggles with lust/ pornography so much I thought it was something I’d never be able to control but it’s really just as simple as REFUSING to give into the temptation, refuse to let that filth into your mind. The industry is truly evil in every conceivable way and I refuse to play any part in it or support it in any way. If you struggle with that too I’d recommend starting there. As for abstaining from real sex you just have to trust that God has a plan for your life and he knows what’s best for you. He has plans to prosper you and not to harm you trust that his way is best. Don’t put yourself in situations that will lead to sex. When Jesus says if your eyes cause you to sin gauge them out, if your hands cause you too sin cut them off. He’s not being literal he’s saying if this leads to that stop it at this. If drinking causes you too lust and be more likely to have sex, stop drinking.. etc.
Hope this was some help ik I rambled this was a good reminder for me as well.
Stay strong brother. Draw near to God don’t lean on your own understanding of what’s best for your life trust in Him.

@@triciaperry2234 I felt the same way and was watching a sermon days ago and pastor David on UA-cam said once you gives your life to Christ and believe that you can only be save through his blood, whether you have feelings or not The Holy Spirit is here in you, and the fact that you still feel the conviction is proof that he’s working in you. You should be worried when you don’t feel His conviction and correction when you sin. Just continue to pray, fast, read His word ( bible). He promised to never abandon you, and you know God doesn’t break His promises to us. Hope this helps and God bless

That's why the Bible says in Proverbs to guard our hearts diligently for out of it flows the secrets of life. Watch what you see, hear,speak/discuss etc. I encourage you to read and study the Word, then you fill yourself up with Gods word which is life to your flesh and mind. From time to time, take time to fast and pray. Also, pray in the spirit -tongues. It will strengthen you,heal you, encourage you and help you to be more sensitive to our Abba's voice. Same dude. Even though I’m a virgin by choice, I would still turn to watching and reading inappropriate and sexual stuff to get off at. Since there wasn’t anyone I “desired” or wanted to be in a romantic relationship with when I was younger, I kinda just resulted to my imagination. I’ve just been doing this for so long, even before I was saved @15 (cuz before then I didn’t realize it was a sin, since I wasn’t hurting anyone or involving anyone but myself in the action).
But even after being baptized and giving my life to Christ at that age, I would still kinda be off and on with my relationship with Him. But it became the worst after HS graduation (which was 3 yrs ago) and man only recently have I come back to God and asked for His forgiveness & guidance. But throughout those 3 years, where I fell back into all the sinful things I used to do before I was saved, it worsened 3xs over. I was watching and reading even *more* perverted stuff. So now it really is a *STRUGGLE* fighting these temptations off & out of my mind. I just thank God that I never caught any real feelings for a guy or else I would’ve really put myself in risk physically & spiritually with soul ties & std’s/pregnancy.
But even though I didn’t have sex I still just end up corrupting my mind, eyes, heart and godly expectations of a husband. As well as for myself. I am corrupting God’s purpose and expectations for me to be a Woman of God and godly wife. My mind is just so polluted with lustful crap that I don’t even know what I am supposed to be focusing on when wanting a Christian husband or wanting to become a Christian wife.
Lust, selfishness, & laziness are my worst sinful struggles. And I have prayed for God to change me but, like you, I don’t know how to completely *defeat* my fleshly temptations. I can fight it for a while when I read the Bible & pray, but I don’t know how to finally be rid of it. It is so draining and just eating at my soul. I just wanna be FREE from lust. I HATE that I have had these lustful desires for most of my life, starting between 8-11 years old. Tho it actually became perverse at 11. And it’s even worse when society and all of media is promoting the very thing I am trying to change & get away from. Which is lust, sex, pride, & selfishness(“my hAppinEss comes first & f anyone who disagrees with me”). It’s just so hard 😞

I cant imagine what you went through with her, but i am sure she loved you so much and was so thankful you still stayed by her side. Man on those days where the guilt and shame just tears at me, i listen to their music & it breaks down my walls as i set my eyes and heart back to jesus and what *He* says about who i am. It really is amazing how much the words in gospel music can move your spirit. You should search & hear their songs “you are more” & “healing begins.” Its such a beautiful message and it helped me at my darkest moments of shame, so i have no doubt the message will reach your heart as well.
And yes i also struggle with the same question she had asked, which was why? Why do so many innocent people/children get what they do not deserve. Over the years I have come to just trust that God has a purpose for all that we go through. For every trial we face, there is a reason God has behind it and he can make something beautiful out of a painful experience. he is teaching us, and thru these trials we ultimately grow in our faith. Like the bible verse says, “what the devil meant for harm, God meant for good.”
I am so glad you have grown strong from that experience and have stopped with many of your old ways. Stopping your obsession of drinking, smoking, and taking drugs is AWESOME to hear!! Not only is it tremendously difficult to stop one of these things, but committing to stop all of them?? Wow, i am so glad that you have decided to trust in God and do this for yourself & your loved ones!!🙏🏼 remember to ask God for His strength in continuing to fight against this. Too often i forget that it is not by my strength or will that i can overcome this, but only by God’s. Which is truthfully also why i fall back to my old ways *Many* times since *I* can never, as i said before, *defeat* it. I have been trusting in *myself* too much rather than what Christ has already done for me. I try to do these things on my own rather than depending on my father, and that is where i get it wrong. So actually thank You for this opportunity, since you just made me look at myself and where exactly i am going wrong with this. I definitely dont have a lot of patience when praying so that is also something i need to look to God to change. To replace with Himself. Because if he can have patience with *me* then i should have patience in prayer as well.

We must just feed our spirit more than we feed our flesh. Limit the things we do that we know will tempt us into doing the things God wants to protect us from. Whenever you feel like masturbating resist it, go out to the open where people are, remember even if you are alone you won't die if you don't masturbate, even if the urge is so strong resist it and after a while it will flee. As you persist in resisting the urge to sin daily it holds over you will weaken and finally breaks.
