@@ictdpowerstroke4591 not at all true. you've probably literally watched one go by that had blown headgaskets before. why would a gasket set have any effect on if an engine runs? the only things that'll happen with blown head gaskets is coolant being burned in the combustion chamber which results in white smoke out of the exhaust and coolant consumption resulting in overheating, or combustion pressure leaking into the coolant system and overpressurizing the coolant system which results in coolant puking out of the de-gas reservoir, or you may not always get either of these things. a lot of times a 6.0 with blown headgaskets is perfectly drivable. it just depends on which symptoms it gives you. but in none of these situations would it just shut off because a gasket is blown. the 6.0 in WD video definitely started out with blown headgaskets or it wouldnt have been drinking coolant like he said in the beginning of the video.

I finally gave in and got a 6.0 a few weeks ago and I already love the truck wish I would of got one sooner lol.
Have you tried a ficm tune yet on the truck? I’ve heard it does wonders for a 6.0 on throttle response and fuel mileage and power.
