He has so much insight given the Indoctrination he has been through. If I was him I,d have punched his Father in Law for trying to break up his marriage.

The 'outside' world is not 'black and white.' Rather, life outside of FLDS holds both worse and better situations. There is freedom to think, to question openly, to truly chose without living in a punishment and prohibition based culture of 'black and white'. You can still hold standards of excellence and high moral values both as a part of faith-based communities as well as on your own. It's better to live your life exercising your God given free will and to exercise your personal moral responsibility. No man should be in the role of a 'god.' It is best to not follow any man or woman but only follow God. Humans are fallible and need to be 'checked' so as not to overly assume authority and power that is distorted and harms others. Don't be deceived by any man who claims to have a direct line to 'God' that you must unquestioningly obey. Outside of FLDS there are many highly moral and disciplined spiritual-communities as well as those who are atheists who live highly ethical lives of service to others and the world.

Based on what the FLDS understanding of what salvation is, it IS VERY POSSIBLE that the leadership see themselves AS God now and not after the resurrection. If they felt that they had the power to fill their congregations heads with lies about becoming "a god" after the resurrection, their lack of accountability would lead them to believe that based on their position (they are the only ones who hears from God) they ARE God on earth. That is, an adult that was raised outside the cult with exposure to life, people, education. Then if they choose that at 21 or 22 fine. All boils down to brainwash. The true holy spirit is moving in this man, but yes, it's a process. He's not out of the brainwash completely or else he would be able to confidently say the falseness of the FLDS religion as well as the foundational LDS (MORMON) religion. I was raised Mormon and know the process one must go thru coming out of a cult. It's very difficult. One must have their own identity to do so, and that's damn near impossible without the true Spirit of God making it possible within you. I struggled with the guilt and shame for about 3 years after being shown the diabolical nature and satanic system behind this belief system. Don't know where this man is at today in his relationship with our creator, but I wish him the very best. And thank you for being outspoken and strong with what God is giving you!!

This is actually how a very "typical - Mormon" man thinks, talks, believes, and lives. He's very typical of what a "Mormon" man is like and how they behave. Most people expect they behave with extreme control, violence, etc. But it's not true. It's more of a "gentle type" of persuasion because they tend to be very educated and charismatic. They are loving, caring, take good care of their families, are hard working, put their families first, etc. Something rare in our day and age...

    • @MsFitz134
      @MsFitz134 Рік тому

Numbers would be impossible but almost none graduate high school in the traditional sense. FLDS do not attend public schools they go to church-run private schools where every subject is taught in the context of their religion - for example history is the history of the church, not the history of the world. World events are taught only insofar as they relate to the church and "God's Kingdom". Boys are taught construction and mechanical skills; girls are taught cooking, sewing, and how to care for children. Children finish school and begin working for church-run businesses (or even being mothers) by age 14, sometimes earlier.
A few are able to go to vocational schools on the outside but this is usually by assignment to serve the church - for example to be a midwife for the women in the community.

and according to the actual bible polygomy is wrong.. the Word clearly states a man will leave his parents and cleave to 1, ONE, UNO, woman and they will become 1.. doesnt say 2 or more women, says one... OT it's written.. Genesis 2:24
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh
    NT it's written.. Matthew 19:3-6
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh
And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
    Ephesians 5:31
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
as u can see in these scriptures it clearly says 1 not many.. says WIFE not plural WIVES

+Brian McWhorter Live Victorious did cite Genesis 2:24 (OT). It goes to show the Bible is riddled with contradiction, left up to interpretation, and is supplemented with other texts and revisions from modern religious leaders.

+Live Victorious Warren Jeffs did often promote oneness with himself. His interpretation of those verses must mean the WOMENs duty is to become one with him and consider him their only one.

The FDLS follow their Doctrines and Covenants and Book of Mormon and consider the Bible to be unreliable. That right there defines a cult. The Bible is inerrant. Concubines were never condoned in the Old Testament, btw. God’s plan has always been just as those quoted scriptures above. There are no contradictions on this.

To love the Lord God with all heart and all soul and all mind we all have failed. We need Christ righteousness not our own righteousness. What gives a person eternal life is to believe (trust) on the Lord Jesus Christ. To believe that He is God and he bled and died for our sins and three days later rose from the dead. It is by faith(trust) in Jesus Christ alone! Ephesians 2:8-9.

I think this man has a problem an issue was completely letting go. It has to be because he has left Jeff Warren's picture and other peoples pictures on the wall of that fall in church. I understand it has to be pretty painful when it includes all of your life invested in something the day ended up being a lie. I don't know that I accept his answer but then I can't answer for him either. I know for myself I would have taken him outside and burn them. That's just my preference.

True Christian doctrine is that Jesus was the son Of God and died for the sins of the world John 3:16 and it's faith in his taking the punishment for our sins that saves you, It's all in the New Testament and anything that conflicts with the teachings in scripture is false teaching. We follow Jesus. Read the book of Hebrew...Jesus is the only high priest now and no earthly priest is needed. The old testament was the age of LAW and The New Testament is the age of GRACE.

So what if he does??!! it's not a crime!! He has his own faith. At least he had the guts to challenge his leaders and ask questions and examine the reason behind his faith and his religious affiliation. Not believing in God doesn't necessarily make one a smarter or better person. A lot of people who call themselves atheists are not capable or presenting a line of arguments or articulate their views as well as this guy does. on the other hand I agree that he should get those pics off the wall if he still has them on. But indoctrination is extremely powerful; Getting rid of it is a long process.
