The 'outside' world is not 'black and white.' Rather, life outside of FLDS holds both worse and better situations. There is freedom to think, to question openly, to truly chose without living in a punishment and prohibition based culture of 'black and white'. You can still hold standards of excellence and high moral values both as a part of faith-based communities as well as on your own. It's better to live your life exercising your God given free will and to exercise your personal moral responsibility. No man should be in the role of a 'god.' It is best to not follow any man or woman but only follow God. Humans are fallible and need to be 'checked' so as not to overly assume authority and power that is distorted and harms others. Don't be deceived by any man who claims to have a direct line to 'God' that you must unquestioningly obey. Outside of FLDS there are many highly moral and disciplined spiritual-communities as well as those who are atheists who live highly ethical lives of service to others and the world.
He speaks of 'us' when he refers to FLDS. From his words it sounds to me like he hasn't 'left' FLDS but that he's been 'demoted' and stigmatized because of his questioning some of the core behaviors of the community 1) Having 1 leader with godlike qualities 2) breaking laws of this land.
Based on what the FLDS understanding of what salvation is, it IS VERY POSSIBLE that the leadership see themselves AS God now and not after the resurrection. If they felt that they had the power to fill their congregations heads with lies about becoming "a god" after the resurrection, their lack of accountability would lead them to believe that based on their position (they are the only ones who hears from God) they ARE God on earth. "Refusing a young bride is refusing a blessing." A blessing for whom? Certainly not for a 12 or 13 year old girl. I think that any ADULT can choose this life if they want it. That is, an adult that was raised outside the cult with exposure to life, people, education. Then if they choose that at 21 or 22 fine. Not great, but at least legal and the woman has the chance to see the craziness of it.

This cult cannot continue under any leadership. Their core values include abuse of children and women by men that think they are property. Their core values include CSA and massive inbreeding. Their core values include a child a year for each wife. Their core values include trapping a family in this life by removing fathers and separating children from their mothers. There is no way this cult can continue, and it’s about to get worse with Warren’s new commandments from prison.
I've heard the children have minimal education and work basically as slaves...is this true? I'd like to know numbers wise, population and how many have grade 12 behind their names....boy & girls, men & woman?
Numbers would be impossible but almost none graduate high school in the traditional sense. FLDS do not attend public schools they go to church-run private schools where every subject is taught in the context of their religion - for example history is the history of the church, not the history of the world. World events are taught only insofar as they relate to the church and "God's Kingdom". Boys are taught construction and mechanical skills; girls are taught cooking, sewing, and how to care for children. Children finish school and begin working for church-run businesses (or even being mothers) by age 14, sometimes earlier. A few are able to go to vocational schools on the outside but this is usually by assignment to serve the church - for example to be a midwife for the women in the community.
the background sound is annoying at times, but really, their audio equipment is good enough that they could just talk over it. Even if its sirens. But i really love hummingbirds. Maybe because i dont have them where i live, in central europe. Having them zip around in the background makes up for any noise i think. Hawk moths occupy that ecological niche here, but as insects they have now become very rare due to pesticides.
To question is to be human, I question everything and some people have called me negative or said I don’t trust anyone but when I’m trying to understand something I like to know why or how, just because it is! Is never enough for me! Ok I agree people were afraid to refuse a marriage because they were afraid to be kicked out and loose their families but they don’t have to sexually abuse these girls 🤷🏼♀️ but they do! Keep them barefoot and pregnant 🤰😡
This guy is too fair to the FLDS subjects who remain. In fact, he is very level headed for believing all this crazy nonsense. I excuse the children, but the adults are bringing suffering upon themselves and their children by believing all that shit because they have abandoned all sense of reason. I especially take exception once they witness other members who leave, knowing that possibility exists, and still choose to stay. Enough is enough. FLDS refer to only one prophet on the earth at a time. How do they reconcile at any given time, the prophet for the LDS church in SLC? Do they believe that sect is wicked, too, and their prophet, a liar?
Lorna Nicol totally agree. He defends joseph smith and warren Jeffs way too much. He defends plural marriage too much. He denies men’s true motives for all the young wives.
His defense of polygamy is sickening. It’s abusive to women and the children don’t get the support of a father with all that competition, and the competition between the “wives” causes harm to the children. This has never been God’s plan.
and according to the actual bible polygomy is wrong.. the Word clearly states a man will leave his parents and cleave to 1, ONE, UNO, woman and they will become 1.. doesnt say 2 or more women, says one... OT it's written.. Genesis 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh NT it's written.. Matthew 19:3-6 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. Ephesians 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. as u can see in these scriptures it clearly says 1 not many.. says WIFE not plural WIVES
+Brian McWhorter Live Victorious did cite Genesis 2:24 (OT). It goes to show the Bible is riddled with contradiction, left up to interpretation, and is supplemented with other texts and revisions from modern religious leaders.
+Live Victorious Warren Jeffs did often promote oneness with himself. His interpretation of those verses must mean the WOMENs duty is to become one with him and consider him their only one.
The FDLS follow their Doctrines and Covenants and Book of Mormon and consider the Bible to be unreliable. That right there defines a cult. The Bible is inerrant. Concubines were never condoned in the Old Testament, btw. God’s plan has always been just as those quoted scriptures above. There are no contradictions on this.
To love the Lord God with all heart and all soul and all mind we all have failed. We need Christ righteousness not our own righteousness. What gives a person eternal life is to believe (trust) on the Lord Jesus Christ. To believe that He is God and he bled and died for our sins and three days later rose from the dead. It is by faith(trust) in Jesus Christ alone! Ephesians 2:8-9.

I think this man has a problem an issue was completely letting go. It has to be because he has left Jeff Warren's picture and other peoples pictures on the wall of that fall in church. I understand it has to be pretty painful when it includes all of your life invested in something the day ended up being a lie. I don't know that I accept his answer but then I can't answer for him either. I know for myself I would have taken him outside and burn them. That's just my preference.
Discussing the marriage of young women as a perk? Uh, Arnold you lost me. Why not rent a nice room with pretty plants and birds for freek sake. THIS is a stressful environment too. Eh. I do not believe what you say about few underage marriages.
Have you read a normal Bible in which Moses {not Joseph Smith} came out of the wilderness and lead his people? I do not think you are reading the right Bible Arnie.
True Christian doctrine is that Jesus was the son Of God and died for the sins of the world John 3:16 and it's faith in his taking the punishment for our sins that saves you, It's all in the New Testament and anything that conflicts with the teachings in scripture is false teaching. We follow Jesus. Read the book of Hebrew...Jesus is the only high priest now and no earthly priest is needed. The old testament was the age of LAW and The New Testament is the age of GRACE.
andy gibson So what if he does??!! it's not a crime!! He has his own faith. At least he had the guts to challenge his leaders and ask questions and examine the reason behind his faith and his religious affiliation. Not believing in God doesn't necessarily make one a smarter or better person. A lot of people who call themselves atheists are not capable or presenting a line of arguments or articulate their views as well as this guy does. on the other hand I agree that he should get those pics off the wall if he still has them on. A few are able to go to vocational schools on the outside but this is usually by assignment to serve the church - for example to be a midwife for the women in the community.
I see he still afraid of FLDS. He choses his words very carefully.
the background sound is annoying at times, but really, their audio equipment is good enough that they could just talk over it. Even if its sirens.
But i really love hummingbirds. Maybe because i dont have them where i live, in central europe. Having them zip around in the background makes up for any noise i think. Hawk moths occupy that ecological niche here, but as insects they have now become very rare due to pesticides.
It is just so sad to see people's want for living what they consider to be a Godly life being abused by those with criminal intent.
Absolute pover corrupts
To question is to be human, I question everything and some people have called me negative or said I don’t trust anyone but when I’m trying to understand something I like to know why or how, just because it is! Is never enough for me!
Ok I agree people were afraid to refuse a marriage because they were afraid to be kicked out and loose their families but they don’t have to sexually abuse these girls 🤷🏼♀️ but they do! Keep them barefoot and pregnant 🤰😡
Did he leave the FLDS cult?
He got kicked out
….I ask ones ….where did cane got his wife from?…. I was told not to ask questions……!
Do they believe that sect is wicked, too, and their prophet, a liar?
jolie robles The adults don't know a life other than this since childhood. Only the oldest adults can remember the real world.
I think this man isn't quite out of the FLDS. He defended a lot religious wrong.
Lorna Nicol totally agree. He defends joseph smith and warren Jeffs way too much. He defends plural marriage too much. He denies men’s true motives for all the young wives.
He didn't defend them. He explained what the FLDS believe and why. He didn't justify it in any way.
I believe in marriage and divorce
His defense of polygamy is sickening. It’s abusive to women and the children don’t get the support of a father with all that competition, and the competition between the “wives” causes harm to the children. This has never been God’s plan.
and according to the actual bible polygomy is wrong.. the Word clearly states a man will leave his parents and cleave to 1, ONE, UNO, woman and they will become 1.. doesnt say 2 or more women, says one... OT it's written.. Genesis 2:24
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh
NT it's written.. Matthew 19:3-6
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh
And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
Ephesians 5:31
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
as u can see in these scriptures it clearly says 1 not many.. says WIFE not plural WIVES
+Live Victorious Have you ever read the Old Testament?
And yet the Patriarchs all had multiple wives, and both David and Solomon flat out had Harems of wives.
His defense of joseph smith and warren Jeff’s is rather sickening.
One of the other prisoners really needs to off that false prophet...
Mind control
To love the Lord God with all heart and all soul and all mind we all have failed. We need Christ righteousness not our own righteousness. What gives a person eternal life is to believe (trust) on the Lord Jesus Christ. To believe that He is God and he bled and died for our sins and three days later rose from the dead. It is by faith(trust) in Jesus Christ alone! Ephesians 2:8-9.
Amen! 🙌🏻 Praise God. I hope that this darling man has come to The True and Living God.
That's the lie...that man that claims to be a prophet...IS NOT that's what makes it a cult
we are leaving under GRACE Fox and salvation is through Jesus Christ only Romans 10vs 9-10
Took 3 parts and really didn't give much infor. Only got that he wants to think for himself. Otherwise a big waste of time!!!! He seemed scared to really speak his mind! He was very careful how he spoke! Too much talking and not getting to the point!
He talking a lot of nonsens....
I like the man and his interview but he played down sexual abuse not only on girls but also on 5 year old boys.
This was before all that really came to light in detail
Discussing the marriage of young women as a perk? Uh, Arnold you lost me. Why not rent a nice room with pretty plants and birds for freek sake. THIS is a stressful environment too. Eh. I do not believe what you say about few underage marriages.
Have you read a normal Bible in which Moses {not Joseph Smith} came out of the wilderness and lead his people? I do not think you are reading the right Bible Arnie.
He works to hard to justify FLDS cult.
Andrew had internet and so no he knew!!!
Why justify abuse and mistreatment
It’s confusing how easily it is to brainwashed.
Like if your prophet says pray and repent but then only the prophet can talk to God???
🥴🥴🥴
True Christian doctrine is that Jesus was the son Of God and died for the sins of the world John 3:16 and it's faith in his taking the punishment for our sins that saves you, It's all in the New Testament and anything that conflicts with the teachings in scripture is false teaching. We follow Jesus. Read the book of Hebrew...Jesus is the only high priest now and no earthly priest is needed. The old testament was the age of LAW and The New Testament is the age of GRACE.
More cultic doctrine, now coming from you.
Please don't tell me this guy still believes in a so called "God"!!!!
andy gibson
So what if he does??!! it's not a crime!! But indoctrination is extremely powerful; Getting rid of it is a long process.
Please don’t tell me you DON’T believe in God!
IN NO WAY, SHAPE, FORM OR CIRCUMSTANCE DOES THIS VIDEO REPRESENT THE OFFICIAL "CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS."
She is a little bit annoying repeating the same questions over and over like she doesn't understand what he's saying, I even wonder if she is there to try and put doubt in his mind.
