Lincoln... all day long! I had a 78 Thunderbird, same car just not as plush. After the T- bird a couple LTD's, and the last 2 were Lincoln TC. Currently still driving my 2001 Town Car Cartier Series as it's still fantastic as a daily driver and I am the original owner. 249K. These cars don't wear out. Great video.
Amazing how more solid the doors on the Mercedes sound than the Lincoln...Needless to say the wood looks much better ion the dash than the plastic in the Lincoln
Keep in mind that Mercedes was getting killed as the Dollar to Deutschmark ratio was sliding in the dollars favor. The 1979 300sd msrp was $3,000 higher than 1978 with minimal changes.
benz wins hands down. i appreciate american luxury cars. im a german immigrant to the usa and own cadillacs and 2 benz, and in that age group, benz is always the winner.
A lincoln is like drivin a fuckin waterbed, fuhgettaboutit

I can just picture Sweet Lenny the pimp exiting that Lincoln at the player's ball back in '78.
A stark contrast to the old woman listening to gospel and country 8-Tracks that was its original owner.

A ‘78 continental with no vogue tires? Why....
A set of Vogue tires would cost more than I paid for the car. Check out my video of how it was when purchased.
I associates Vogues with Cadillacs.
The merc is more handsome to my eyes. The Lincoln looks like it was drawn in MS Paint by an elderly woman.
The Lincoln looks awful inside (and outside for that matter). It looks awful period.
