OMG! Jim Cook was one of my major personal inspirations. He introduced me to the wonderful world of local radio and local television on WJET AM 1400 and WJET Channel 24, respectively. I must have listened to dozens of Cook Coke Countdowns on JET radio. I was also in front of the TV (analog back in the day), to watch The Late Great Horror Show on WJET TV around 11:30 pm to watch yet another thrilling double feature with the Buck Roger featurette at the intermission. I watched each double feature right up until the closing credit and Jim would sign off with the song "Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead" by the Fifth Estate. If ever I become a part of Erie Radio, I will have this man among others to thank for leading the way. The last thing that I heard about Jim was that he was working for Clear Channel Radio in Atlanta as a big time director. I hope that he is still a part of making the broadcasting industry a better profession. Jim, if you ever come across these words... I LOVE YOU, MAN! Can I have your autograph?
Having grown up in Erie in the 70s and early 80s, this really hits close to home. Jim was always so under-rated. Give him the credit for being "out there," at least.
Great footage! Thanks a lot for posting!I grew up with this show & watched it in ontario canada.I would have recorded some shows but this was before I had a vcr. :(...where is jim cook now??? Best,Cattman2

I remember watching 'Black Sabbath' presented by LGHS & Jim Cook. :) Scared the hell out of me.
Jim Cook was NOT bound for network television. No talent but I looked forward to watching anyway.
