Anyway, I'm having a lot of anxiety because I am trying to figure out what I should and shouldn't buy because it may not be clean enough. It's almost become an obsession. It is said that to feel satisfied you should never eat those on an empty stomach only after a full satisfying meal. (Like how kids get a piece of candy after they finish lunch)
No diet or workout programs, no matter how beneficial, is sustainable until you start with “why”! Simply starting with what to do and how to do is not sustainable because they are tasks, check list to get to the destination. If you don’t have a clear vision, no amount of how to’s and sound advices will get you there. Being fit and staying fit is simple but not easy due to external forces and influences. But if you have a clear why being fit and staying fit is important to you, then you have built a strong foundation to withstand temptations that cause you to deviate from staying fit.
While it is true that you have to honor your cravings every once in a while, I still think we need to go about it in a better way. Instead of regular pop tarts, why not have protein pop tarts? If it’s too pricey, have a small pop tart after drinking a fiber supplement or lots of veggies to fill you up. Honoring your carb cravings on an empty stomach is asking for a binge episode. You won’t have any control over your body if you just have a tiny piece of carb. You WILL go back to it. It’s better to find healthier options or make anabolic recipes at home. It takes more time but it’s more than worth it. I’ve done the same and lost 40 lbs, 45 more to go. Thanks for all the good info!

I find a tip that helps is if you're going to have one of those treats or only sometimes foods perhaps have it alongside your existing 'clean' or always foods. So rather than having the treat by itself you just have it immediately alongside your meal like a dessert
Depends on the person and what their trigger foods are. I can’t have one pop tart lmao but I can have a burger and fries once a week and it keeps me on track
It’s not about eating clean to be in good shape. It’s about being healthy in order to do any and everything. eating that type of junk food and drinking alcohol causes more problems than most of us think
Exactly, junk foods are specifically designed to be addictive and taste good to us. Think about it if you want an Oreo, you’re never going to just have 2 or 3, you’re finishing most or the whole container. Sugar is very addictive so I don’t understand people who say “moderation is key”. Drug addicts don’t do drugs in moderation to get over their addiction, they have to stop doing it entirely
I don’t understand how people just fold so easily. If you’re reading this and you struggle with giving into the cravings, I suggest start with fasting. It’ll teach you self control. I do a 16 hour fast, but start with 8, 10, 12, 16. If you can refrain from eating all together, refraining from eating garbage when you can eat is much easier
Not only will you be more consistent in the short term, but a diet that includes plenty of food you actually enjoy is sustainable in the long term. Allowing you to keep weight off, provided you have the discipline to not overeat.
I just take Garden of Life mood probiotics since sugar helps candida grow in your gut and that bacteria is actually what causes sugar cravings. I’ll eat an RX protein bar here and there, but that’s all the sugar I get.

If you've been given a prediabetes or diabetes diagnosis, don't do this. I was told 3 weeks ago that I'm prediabetic. I have family members whose prediabetes became diabetes which resulted in severe circulation & nerve issues to the point that they were unable to walk. Two of them ended up having to get a foot amputated. In the long run, diabetes can affect every organ in the body. My dad, my grandma, & my great grandma passed away due to complications caused by diabetes. Severe diabetic neuropathy and circulation issues left them all unable to walk prior to their passing. My aunt who is still alive cannot walk. She fell and ended up on the floor for 2 days until her son happened to stop by one day. Again, even if you're just prediabetic with a not so bad Hemoglobin A1C, don't flirt with those numbers. Do all you need to do to reverse that sh*t or at least keep it from increasing. You're welcome.
More of a psychological situation, than a problem with the rule of thermodynamics, if you put yourself in deficit regardless of whether or not you like it you will lose weight granted you don't have some kind of hormonal issues like hypothyroidism.
I REFUSE TO LISTEN TO HIM BUT HE IS FUNNY ASF 😂😂😂😂 yeah if you do what he says you might meet prediabetes or health issues fast but if your insulin is healthy then go for it but moderation is key
I mean, that's not true for everyone. Like I get migraines, so when I'm on a diet and trying to lose fat I'm going to cut out as much processed sugar as I can so that I can stay on that diet instead of having insane sugar peaks and risk a migraine for the rest of the day. Also some people struggle with binging and just prefer to not keep junk food around them when they are trying to lose weight. Also unless you are severely limiting your carbs and calories (like some people don't do well with a 500+ deficit), idk why you'd have mood swings over food. That's more of a psychological issue rather then a weight loss or will power issue.
I’ve been pretty with your advice and stuff, but this just kinda ain’t it. Lack of willpower to start, and it takes around 28 days to break a habit. Once you start actually eating clean for a longer time period, your brain doesn’t really crave or enjoy that food anymore. And now with all the new science on gut health, we also know that your stomach will be asking for “pop tarts” or what not if that’s what you regularly eat. The bacteria in your guts micro biome is partially composed of “pop tarts” therefore asking for more. You just need to reset. Coming from someone who’s been 200 pounds, 120 now and have been maintaining that weight for over a year now. Energy and mood levels are wayyy better with clean eating too. And no, I don’t completely restrict. I have my days and my junk food, you just can’t go overboard. He’s partially right that it’s not a great idea to completely cut out your fave crappy foods, but if you’re having a BF three days in, well. Starting is always the hardest part. Buck up and be stronger than your lizard brain asking for refined sugar and oils.
Congratulations on your weight loss! That is amazing! You found what works for you, and while this advice might not work for everyone, I would say that his advice is a good place to start. It can be a lot for someone else to think the way that you’re thinking right away (e.g. take 28 days to break a habit), so this might be advice that they need to start with to strengthen their willpower to not binge on their favourite foods.
The more willpower something requires, the less adherence you get from the average person. If you tell somebody they can never have the foods they like, you lose 90% of people right off the bat. His goal is to reach people and get them to lose weight and get them to stick to it long term. Go research human psychology studies that have been done analyzing diet adherence, telling people they just need to "keep at it", doesn't actually work for most people in the real world.
Both of you two definitely have a point, but if you’re in America as I am there’s definitely an extreme lack of willpower when it comes to crappy food, which to be fair is not entirely our fault since our food culture is so centered around it. And a sad life on top of it for most adults, contributes. I really get what you guys are saying tho, like what this guy is talking about is smaller scale and I’m talking more big picture. And it’s awesome he’s trying to reach the lost audience to help, but I think there should be some talk about what needs to happen later down the road, yanno? Like a forewarning or something. And also thank you mjl8060! And thank both of you for having a rational convo instead of attacking something you don’t agree with.
😂 so true...but I would end up eating the whole box of poptarts.😂Now I just binge on sugar free candy till I eventually stop. Of course this isn't working.
My problem is psychological. If I "allow" myself to a cheat day it turns into a cheat month. It is basically addiction so I need to say "not today satan" everyday!!!
I always allow myself one sweet treat a few days a week 😅. I only eat a single serving, which typically is only about 150 calories. It might take slightly longer to reach my body fat % goal, but fuck it.
I did this last week on Friday, been eating clean for months with the old cheat meal and then Friday I had five guys for lunch and I ate whatever the fuck I wanted until Sunday,I still worked out but felt like I’ve wasted the months before hand,I counted the calories and was in shock 😂😂
Cool, except that a lot of very fat people are literally addicted to sugar and other unhealthy things, so for the same reason you'd never tell an alcoholic to drink in moderation, this isnt great advice, at least not in all circumstances
Yeah. It is not that simple. He is one of the most "down to earth" fitness influencer. But as everybody there, they never consider the psychological implications of modern food into society behavior. Food to me it is always frustration and addiction. One day I will be cured from my compulsion.
@@DynamicDandalfsure. Some people use the word "just". You just need to have balance. You just need to eat in moderation. And I feel like... Is that simple? So why I see people struggling so much. They always blame on the victim. Everytime a friend of mine says: today I will start a diet and lose weight! I always say, look for a psychologist first, while you check your blood exams, check your mental health as well. That is what I am doing after my 6th try to lose weight. I looked for a therapist before start my 7th try. I still believe food won't be a disgrace but a pleasure in my life.
@@tiagosoraggielliott the fact that you're writing such long statements on UA-cam shows you're not ready. Because when it comes time to say no to that sweet treat, you're just gonna rationalise it with some wordy speech to yourself. Instead keep it simple. You know it's bad for you so don't eat it!

So true
No... The clean diet is not causing you to gain weight, lack of self control and weakness is.
All facts. Everything in moderation
I found that dieting simply doesn’t work for so now Im just eating whenever I feel like it but eating with logic
😂 so true...but I would end up eating the whole box of poptarts.😂Now I just binge on sugar free candy till I eventually stop. Of course this isn't working.
Lmaooo love the white chicks reference
My problem is psychological. If I "allow" myself to a cheat day it turns into a cheat month. It is basically addiction so I need to say "not today satan" everyday!!!
Yeah bro tell alcoholic to drink in moderation see how that ends up
I never lost weight until I understood this
Im eating clean consistently, really crave chips and fries, but my mind always wins and I can keep resisting the urge to, need stronger will power
And this is why I allow myself to have one PB&J a day. 😂
Kyle Crane?
Can't say I've ever had a pop tart 😂😂
basically: how to deter a binge restrict cycle and live a healthy lifestyle instead of crash dieting
WHITE CHICKS REFERENCE I LOVE THAT MOVIE
You can make it up by exercising and burning 500-1000 calories a day
It’s all in the caloric deficit. If you train and lose more calories than you consume then you will lose weight.
Facts!
I always allow myself one sweet treat a few days a week 😅. I only eat a single serving, which typically is only about 150 calories. It might take slightly longer to reach my body fat % goal, but fuck it.
They don't even sell all that shit in Italy man i can only order pop tarts and cereal from web site that sell american food/snack
those are the most ass flavor of pop tarts
Its up to you to have self control
at 5 ft I'm in hell I don't want the sleeve but nothing is working
I did this last week on Friday, been eating clean for months with the old cheat meal and then Friday I had five guys for lunch and I ate whatever the fuck I wanted until Sunday,I still worked out but felt like I’ve wasted the months before hand,I counted the calories and was in shock 😂😂
I like this guy😂

Accept Jesus today please before it’s too late ⏰ ☝️🙌🙏❤️🇮🇱🇺🇸
I don't eat any of that and i am 5 ft 7 and 170...but I look way the heck smaller because i have tons of muscles
All this made me want to do is go get Cookie Crisp and fruity pebbles from the grocery store 😩
When you guys eat that muffin, go on a walk and use it as fuel! 2 in 1!❤
Wrong. It called calories intake / outtake
I swear I don't look at it as food though so I'm pretty happy now😬
Worst advice😂 Moderation is key🤓☝️
Yep
Italy bread 🇮🇹 I knew he was Italian
Suggesting someone eats pop tarts is never good advice.
I've been doing this it's awesome
lol.... it's so funny cuz it's so true
🧢 to some or even most of us i'd say its easier to control sugar cravings if u just dont eat sugar at all
I Just Only have cravings If im on a camp Meeting a few Times a year
Bro, ure right
I had a bf one day 3 months ago. I gained 10 pounds back 😂😂😂
The pop tarts cause a sugar cascade making it hard to get.back.to.the diet. Better to eat a handfil.of berries and more fat. Sugar.Kills
I eat mostly junk food, but i do have healthy foods too, just not as often and I'm skin and bones😅
No one asked
Cool, except that a lot of very fat people are literally addicted to sugar and other unhealthy things, so for the same reason you'd never tell an alcoholic to drink in moderation, this isnt great advice, at least not in all circumstances
One of the only sensible comments
Yeah. It is not that simple. He is one of the most "down to earth" fitness influencer. But as everybody there, they never consider the psychological implications of modern food into society behavior.
Food to me it is always frustration and addiction. One day I will be cured from my compulsion.
@@tiagosoraggielliott I feel like he's just saying the things people want to hear so they continue to have an excuse
Come on then, eat the poptart. We're waiting...
2 candy bars week is good for me Reese
I just want milk and sugar in my coffee
Pop tarts is cancer
RBF on the go! 😂😂😂😂😂
