I know this is a year ago and a bit late but, How come you only got the single port for the usb port modification and not double port? Does the double port split the power between them resulting in less power for each one? Dont know much about electricity etc.
What rear camera would you recommend to add to this setup? Great timing on this video too! Thank you for creating it especially the recommendation for a unit with physical buttons. I'm going to do this for my wife's 2005 Scion TC this year 2024.
did you ever upload the reverse camera video? I don't see it on the channel, also do i have to get the usb car socket for carplay, i was just going to use the ciggerete lighter port that it came with
some advice. you can splice into the harness for the steering wheel controls. you do not need a module. the atoto has a built in steering wheel control module. let me know if you need additional help for the wiring. its just three wires.

Hey man I’m currently doing this for a scion tc with the same exact 2din kit by metra but the lid doesn’t want to fit on the headunit. Any chance you know why that could be happening?
@@MJTechChannel actually the problem is that the whole console does not want to pop back on properly in the middle where the headunit stays. It has a gap in the middle :/
@@pistolpat_5547I just got the unit today and everything went smooth except trying to install the console trim back and I ended up having to trim the black bracket and a little of the stereo itself on the bottom. It was a super tight fit and had to maneuver the system and the console and eventually I was able to get it to pop in. I couldn’t find any information online but I eventually got it with just trimming the bracket and the smallest amount on the stereo outer lining!

Probably connected the orange dimmer wire incorrectly.

Does your scion have the stock subwoofer in the trunk? did it still work with this set up?

Check your side mounting brackets they could be too far back.
