For d23 predictions I hope they finally announce more about and start construction on that avengers e ticket ride that they have been promising us since 2019 for California adventure
@magicalkeysvacations I don’t think so because the reason the original jetpack seat version of the avengers e ticket ride was cancelled, was because of 2 main things: 1. Imagineering was gutted after Disney tried to force them to move to Florida or lose their jobs, so many left to work for universal. This drastically affected the creative ability of Disneys park projects. And 2. Around this time the higher ups started budget cutting everything. And they realized they could get away with it because people would be coming in droves regardless. So it was cancelled because the higher ups didn’t wanna pay the money required for a big budget ambitious ride. And they no longer had the creativity and talent needed to make that ride a reality. This new version of the avengers e ticket is way less ambitious and not big budget anymore, but it seems to be “mid” level in terms of budget. The company that owns the majority stake of Hong Kong Disneyland paid for half of the development costs of the first version, under the agreement that they would get to clone it there too. That deal still stands even though it’s a different version of the ride. So basically Disney owes them an e ticket ride, that is why they cant cancel it completely. Plus they can just clone it here at California adventure. Had that not been the case I definitely think it would have been permanently canceled. As for expanding the campus itself, they had originally planned on expanding it to the Hollywood backlot but it seems that has been canceled, since avatar is rumored to be going there. But we are getting a wakanda expansion of the campus as part of Disneyland forward. Anyways all I hope is that the upcoming avengers e ticket ride turns out to be good, because I’m worried it’ll turn out disappointing like web slingers.

We 100% would love to see that. They definitely need to expand Avengers Campus. Do you think they will scratch it and come up with something new?
