I have owned two lifts from Rough Country on a JK: 2.5 lift and a 4” long arm. They 2.5 was ok. The long arm was amazing. I have a JL now and plan on the 6” long arm.
So proud of you bro saying it how it is, you have convinced me to go with the RC. Thanks man
Haha thanks bro! So much hate for no reason towards RC. Over 2 years of daily use and over 50k miles on the kit and still no issues!
I love this set up you have. Thanks for the update.
Thanks man! Appreciate it!
Nothing wrong with the Rough Country lift kit. Lifting isn't cheap, but this is financially smart and affordable. You made a smart and terrific choice. Teraflex is another terrific brand, but they're more expensive than Rough Country.
I agree! This RC kit has been great. Going on close to two years with zero issues! For the price it’s hard to beat.
Watched the first video brother great video spacer lifts are dope cheap ways to get lift and be able to run big tires I’ve seen where I live in Chicago that the shocks do get fucked up in a year or so but you hit the nail on the head about bang for a buck but keep the videos coming brother
I now have a Metalcloak Game changer 3.5" and it's amazing. .. I switched from a 2.5" Rough County and lol it was amazing! No problems EVER and I crawled all over Vegas and now South Texas. People who judge are idiots who need to worry more about themselves. Wheel what you have and if it's RC well it's some tough shit!
Lensync7 Facts!!
"I know a lot of Jeep people and a lot of them are brand snobs"! Nailed it bruh. Thanks for sharing
It’s the sad truth haha. Appreciate it brotha! 🤘🏼
I did the same thing you did and installed this kit and it was a great starter kit. I just installed the 3.5 inch Clayton Off-road overland kit and it’s a huge difference in ride quality. For $1300 it’s worth every penny. Adding the Falcon shocks added way better on and off-road handling. I should have followed the old rule. Buy once cry once.
That’s awesome! I was looking at that kit as well, seems like a nice upgrade that doesn’t totally kill the wallet haha
Had same kit on my gladiator for last 2 months am like it so far is been great👍
Hell yea that’s awesome!
How did you like it ?
thanks for this video as I'm actually installing this today on my Diesel Gladiator!
Nice! My kit is still going strong 💪🏼
@@Wimya awesome! Took us about 5hrs. With a lift which helped. Question.... On the front track bar... How should it be adjusted. Should there be room on both sides? I need to push the passenger side out about 2in but there is nothing in the directions on how to do this. Can you do it with out on the jeep or do you have to take the axle side off then screw it in more to shorten it?
I never had problems with RC also and I had a 6 inch lift on my f150 but I am thinking of getting this lift for my jeep
Rough Country will answer the phone, stand by their product, and yes you can get their entry level like he did in this video or spend 10x as much.. they have something for every budget.
100% facts!!! 🤘🏼
Thanks for the great info bro!!👍
💪🏼🤘🏼🙌🏼
Great video, i have there leveling kit in my gladiator with no issues
Thank!! That’s awesome! RC makes a good product
Looks good man👍..I'll install my RC this coming up weekend.
That’s awesome! You’ll love it!
Thx for the video
Beautiful!!
Thanks!!
Thank you bro , I just bought the 4 inch RC lift kit , about to out it on my wrangler Jk 2018 😇
That’s awesome! My kit is still going strong 2 years later 🤘🏼💪🏼
@@Wimya Thank you for that comment , amazing
Looks good buddy
Thank you!
I have the 32 inch nittos that came with my Willy's gladiator, how do you think it will look with a 3.5 inch lift?
Great video! I'm looking at this one and was curious if you would pay the extra for their 3.5 coil version? Also, do you think it needs the geo correction brackets to correct angles?
Thank!! I haven’t really looked into the coil version but I’m still on the same kit I’ve been using and I’ve had zero issues! I’m sure the coil version would be great as well.
Looks great! If you’re happy with it, to hell with the haters. 🍻
Holy crap that’s a lot of miles in 9 months! I have 2900 miles on my Launch Edition in 8 months. I installed a 2” from Rock Auto and going to install 35s. Your Jeep looks great and who cares what haters say, their probably driving a POS Toyota.
Haha very true. But yea this thing gets driven a lot!
How are the rpm’s on the highway around 70-80 mph?
I bought my jeep jl with a 3.5” Rc kit and everything seems to be holding up just fine the only thing I will be in grading soon is the springs to dual rate and the shocks just bc the rough country springs and shocks are pretty hard imo
Nice! It’s a great kit for the money.
@@Wimya definitely! Specially if you do t really go crazy off-road
What size wheels? I know you stated 20” in diameter but what’s the width and the offset? Asking because I just purchased my new 2021 gladiator and ordered the 3.5 lift kit
They are 20x10 -12 offset.
just order mine full suspension lift kit 3.5 rough country and a set of 315 70 R17. I do not want to re gear so 35"s is it for now. I love my JT rubicon wont trade it for anything.
Yea I don’t blame you on the re-gearing. It can be a nightmare sometimes. The JT is a great 🤘🏼 I’ve enjoyed mine o
Hey man, any problems with the front driveshafts? Also, could you please share the link of this kit. Thanks man
No problem what so ever. I purchased this kit off of a vendor on eBay. I’ll try and find it.
Thanks bro
No problem!
Do a re-gear and run 37” inch tires. 37s would look great with that lift.
I thought I read you dont need to with these?
Yea I wish I would have went with 37s originally.
That is one sexy 🔥🔥🔥 Gladdy.. did you put any new steering stabilizers? I’m thinking of going RC 3.5 suspension lift kit… thinking of changing the stabilizer also . Most likely RC N3 steering stabilizer… what do you think?
Thanks!! I never added the steering stabilizer on this one but I think it’s about time I do! I had the dual Fox one on my last Rubicon
@@Wimya 💪💪💪💪 thanks
i just ordered the same rims with -24 offset! are those -24 as well?
They sure are! Sorry for the late reply btw
What do you think is this difference between this and the newer coil spring kit? Like advantages or disadvantages? Thanks
To be 100% honestly I’m not really sure what the differences are other than maybe the new kit also fits the Mojave trim with different shock mounts. All I can confirm is my kit is still going strong
Awesome thanks man I think you sold me, thanks for the honesty and saving me lots of $$$$ on a lift too, just got a gladiator rubi and had a Ram previous like you dropped about 5k on a BDS on the Ram but will go this route with the Jeep
No problem bro glad to help! 🤘🏼💪🏼
how have the sidesteps working out? do you catch your leg on the steps?
It took a little use to at first. Honestly I would forget they were even there lol. But now I’m use to it.
Would you say it leveled you out. I have 2.5in of sag because of my bumper and winch.
Yea petty much. I’m also currently running a aftermarket bumper with a winch and it’s still stayed level during this whole time
@@Wimya thanks man, after taking it on the trails and almost missing a few rocks. I decided I'm going to lift it. No choice.
I’m getting the similar lift with the RC coils. What kind of mpg you getting?
Nice! I’m right around 13-14mpg
Wimya cool thx
Do you know what the offset of your wheels are. Like the stance.
Thanks, it’s a -24 offset.
Did you upgrade any control arms? The front lower specifically…
Nope, all still stock
looks great! what gears are you running?
Thanks! She’s got 3.73 gears
Do you know if rubicon fox shocks would work with this lift kit? Thanks
I’m not 100% sure about that, but it would be a great upgrade to the kit if you could.
I have the standard 2020 Rubicon shocks on this same kit. Works well at 7k miles on it.
I would think as long as the shock measure up to each other it should work no problem
Hey buddy where did you get the sweet hood decals?
I actually got them off eBay. I think they were like $20
Does the Jeep Community talk shut about the sport times or overland trims ? Or it doesn’t really matter to most Jeep owners ?
I’ve never really seen much trash talk between the trims.
Wimya thanks man you have actually answered everything I have asked I’m subbing now !!
@@wearetesla2820 Awesome! Appreciate the support brother!
The “Jeep Nazis” are more likely to rag on you for getting any fancy features because basic is tough (?). Those types will get the hand-crank windows and call themselves purists ha. Color matched anything is bad. 4 door? That’s not a Jeep to them. Forget those people and just enjoy the unique experience in whatever flavor you like
Do you have the Max tow package with 4:10’s?? I’m looking to get a Gladiator with 35’s
Nope no max tow package for me just a base Sport
Wimya Does it handle the 35’s pretty good?
Handles great with the 35” not sluggish at all.
Wimya Great!!👍🏻
Did you do any geometry correction after installing the lift kit?
Nope. No issues either 100k miles later.
How are the brakes holding up with the bigger tires?
Holding up perfectly fine.
What do you think about the rough country 6 inch lift
I don’t have any real world experience with it but I’ve seen tons of people in the gladiator and 5th gen Ram groups that love them.
Did you have to regear after adding the 35"tires
no regear necessary. Drives just like stock
hey there, just wonder if you make some jeep accessories review video for promoting?
I never have, but I would be willing to make some if a company asked.
@@Wimya hey , so how can i contact u, can you send me your email address?
Idk why rough country gets so much slack, I guess week end warriors are installing them and messing it up,& blaming the kit? I’ve installed it on 4 trucks, plus about to level my warlock with there spacer kit. Idk people just want to sucker you into spending 3x on another kit b.c why not I guess... lol
Have you gone wheeling ??
No real wheeling here in FL minus maybe 2 state parks and a lot of mud holes, but I have gone trail riding.
Do you think 37s would fit on that lift kit?
Yes, 100%. I regret not going with 37s or 38s.
@@Wimya that's great because I have 37s in the garage with the 3.5in suspension lift from rough country. Lol just need a day off to install it.
That’s awesome! You’ll love it!
Bro ive loaded 20 bags of mulch in a damn crv and it squatted less than that gladiator /s
How did it hold up ?
Still going strong with 0 issues.
@@Wimya did you add anything to the control arms ?
@@Aceinfinity-le8zc nope
@@Wimya thanks for the reply. I was just a little nervous putting this on a $50000 rig.
@@Aceinfinity-le8zc you just have to be realistic. If you’re gonna be using the Jeep as a pavement princess with mild off-roading this is fine. If you’re gonna beat it up off-road get something better suited.
Hey did you regear?
Nope
@@Wimya good I was concerned. Still hits 8th ??
@@Aceinfinity-le8zc oh yea all day. Drives just like stock.
@@Wimya thanks for the reply’s. You run into to so many people saying the 3:73 won’t do it but sometimes I think people do things just to say they did them.
@@Aceinfinity-le8zc I 100% agree brother! I’m glad I could help out! I always take what other say with a grain of salt until I try it out for myself.
does the rough country lift kit ride like shit? herd rough country isn't the best
Rides just like stock but a little taller IMO.
Yup just better clearance
The American flag is backwards on the passenger rear. The stars always lead the way.
People luv putting others down --do u
The kit held up fine because it dont go offrroad
I live in FL, it’s been off-road in FL. We don’t have mountains, rocks, desert, etc. we have swamp.
Lol just like Canada
Tires look chopped
What?
