вот как надо строить эстакады и мосты...а не в карман класть 80% выделенных бюджетом денег а на остальные 20% лепить гавнище...

Now prepare for overwhelming smog and congestion from 45,000 smoke chugging cars and diesel engines a day. What an environmental disaster that has been foisted upon the town of GWS. Welcome downtown shoppers, bring your respirators. A much more responsible plan would have been to detour all the pollution causing RFV traffic away from the shopping district of Grand Ave.

Very well said. The engineering and craftsmanship looks top notch. However the city counsel couldn't possibly have had their heads any further up their ass.

This comment sure didn't age well. Looks like most automakers sell or are moving towards selling electric cars. Even if someone wants a new gas car, they won't be able to get one quite soon. Once some electric cars hit the used car market at a cheap price, just about every car owner will own one (and not just people who can afford a new car).

@@MilesCraft1 most people still drive gas/diesel cars we are still several years away from most people driving electric. This was an incredibly terrible move to build a giant 4-lane highway right through the center of town. A regular Main Street would be much more pleasant and pedestrian-friendly.

@@hectora7479 what does electric cars have to do with the need or not for this new bridge? Once everyone is driving electric vehicles there will be just as many cars since they are only replacing the existing gas/diesel vehicles, and not really adding to or reducing the number of cars on the road. Also even with this new bridge, there is significant traffic during rush hour in downtown Glenwood. A regular main street would severely limit the amount of cars that can go through downtown and make the traffic issue even worse.

@@MilesCraft1 it’s the opposite actually. If you widen highways it usually just creates more traffic, this has been proved over and over again. This is known as induced demand. A regular more walkable Main Street with proper public transit would be a much better solution. I urge you to look into the UA-cam channel “not just bikes”
