    Why don’t u use aux?

    • @MulkeyBlueQuartet
      @MulkeyBlueQuartet 8 місяців тому

      Mainly.for convenience i think, you can use the USB for both in and out and you can only use one aux out
      For example, if I have my record player set up and my phone, I'd have to switch back and forth between the 2 if I didnt use the USB cable

      I have never had that happen to me, but you should definitely update to 3.0 regardless. Much better than 2.0!

    Can it be the dongle that messes with the external source? It plays the audio without it on and I can’t change the recording settings input, is it because of the dongle or the system itself?

      It works well for me, I’m not sure what you mean. Can you not hear it inputting in while you record it?

      I’m not sure if you got it figured out but you have to be on recording mode to hear anything I was tripping about that too

    great video ! , can i use a camera kit that doesnt have the usb -c ? those ones are 10$ cheaper , or have you tried usb-c to usb-c with the connection kit u have in the video

    • @RussiBeats

      You can use the $29 one too. You just need a USB-A to USB-C cord to connect it. I just use USB-C to USB-C with then $39 dollar one. I would recommend spending the extra $10 so you have a way to charge your phone or iPad at the same time in case you are using it for long sessions.

    hey man does the ipad in the video have enough juice to power the sp404mk2 or do you need to plug in an external power cable to get the sp working.

    • @RussiBeats

      No I am pretty sure this won’t have enough juice to power the MK2, I either have batteries or plug in my MK2 to do this

    Hi, I’ve tried connect my iPhone directly from USB-C cable. Want to sample audio from it. Can’t find any good info

    • @RussiBeats

      If you have an iPhone with a USB-C connection you should be able to plug your phone in to the SP 404 MK2 with a USB-C to USB-C cable. The Lightning connection is only for iPhone that don't have a USB-C connection. Let me know if that works for you.

      @@RussiBeats I have an iPhone 14 so it’s lightning to usb-c. I thought there was a way to connect it that way. At least that’s what makes sense. So you say USB-C to USB-C? How do I achieve this? I’ve also tried plugging up my Mac Book Pro which is USB-C to USB-C but nothing there either. Is there some setting I’m missing maybe? It shouldn’t be this confusing

      @@jonathannoble9465 The way to connect if you have a Lightning to USB-C is exactly what this video will show you. Do you have the camera connection kit as well?

      @@RussiBeats ugh! That seems pretty superfluous. Do you have a video of you sampling from an iPhone or iPad? I just wanna know it can be done and how to do so. Thank you so much for your time btw 😅

      @RussiBeats  Рік тому +1

      @@jonathannoble9465 You just do everything in this video and then press the EXT Source button and you will hear the audio coming though. I think the Camera connection kit is around $40

    It’s easier to just auxout

    • @RussiBeats
      @RussiBeats  10 місяців тому

      If you’re using an iOS device with a Lightning connection then you need the camera adapter if you want to sample things in from the iOS device to the SP 404 MK2. It’s not easier to auxout considering it won’t work 😂
