Wetterkreuzkogel | Hiking In The Alps

The Wetterkreuzkogel sits above Oetz and the Tirol valley in Austria at 2,592 metres. I set off to walk a short round in the region after catching the cable car up to the Panorama Restaurant. The route was stunning, but shorter than I expected, so the next day I went back and walked the full loop, which you can watch here:

The views are stunning. I could look at that all day. I think I'd be okay going up ( with lots of sitting breaks). Going down would be the tough part. My knees were hurting just watching you.

Perhaps not as long as you wanted at the time, Abbie, but it sounds like missing the lift and 4 hours of serious descent would have detracted from the lovely experience. I try to avoid end of day time pressures stress like that at all costs. A good reconnaissance and a lovely video 😀
