What really breaks me is the fact that Sunny hadn't confronted his past and guilt for killing Mari at that point, imagine how he felt like oof
I was fucking balling my eyes out from that moment on to the end of the game
It’s so cute to see them start to repair their friendship
And then Sunny's guilt confession came along and w e l p
I like to believe they'd get back together after some time has passed but that would fuck up the friendship again for a while
@@odditycat2716 the secret ending shows a scene of sunny and basil smiling at each other in the hospital room with their darkness draining away, both happy to the point of tears. I think we can take that as they were both forgiven, by their friends and themselves

Honestly I refuse to believe that everyone will not forgive Sunny after his confession. There'd definitely be some anger, tears, and feelings of betrayal, but the friendship among the group has been shown to be strong even after 4 years of separation.
It would be really out of character for anyone besides Basil to forgive Sunny. If sunny never had left the house the friendship would had been in tatters. Them finding out he was the cause of their suffering and grief would destroy what ever relationship they built in those last two days.

@@NyanMango That's a tough sell. Kinda hard to say Kel would just forgive Sunny when he's the reason Hero was so depressed. Sunny being the cause of Mari's death would definitely be seen as a betrayal for everyone who doesn't know the circumstances or wasn't there.
@@mistake1197 Maybe, maybe not. Kel was pretty forgiving when Aubrey nearly drowned Basil and despite her constant bullying of the poor guy. I realize that's not equivalent to manslaughter (well, it got close, had Hero not been there) but it's still terrible.
Furthermore, despite Sunny isolating himself for four years and incredibly antisocial nature, Kel still decided to hang out with him three days in a row. He's naive, but he also really wants everyone to be happy again.
Besides, forgiving someone doesn't mean that they'll ever actually be friends again. I just think it would be very odd for them to be violently opposed to one another. It might even provide some closure to the friend group, who were perpertually confused why Mari would commit suicide.
...In the end, though, I suppose it doesn't matter. The important part is that Sunny could forgive himself.

The spider scene must have been relieving for Sunny somehow sering he ain't the only one with that fear, and Hero being the one scared out of all people.
It’s pretty good that they’re all doing stuff together again, but it’s kinda sad to see that Basil isn’t in the group. He was the one that wanted the group to be together again like in the past, and yet he’s out when they do.

Sometime forget that this is a horror game
It's 90% just a saccharine RPGMaker game with little creepypasta hints in there, so it's easy to forget with all of the padding.
It’s barely a horror game tbh.
I think it’s so meta that the pacing and design making you forget you were playing a horror game and then reeling you back into that reality because it fits so well with the main characters situation throughout the whole game.

I actually didn’t realize there were so many scenes you could find if you explored the town with the group. However the one thing I found was the graveyard scene. I had tried it before when Aubrey wasn’t in the group and Hero saying “I don’t think I’m ready for this yet” really stuck with me. After that I always looked for a chance where he might finally have the courage.
Oh so you didn’t know about the side quest in town and getting the universally loved achievement/ chad sunny.
