I like your videos, and I am in total agreement with you as far as Microsoft's bullshit DRM policies. Even though they reversed all of those policies, we all learned a lot about the mindset, culture, and values of Microsoft and how they view their customers. I loved my 360, because I thought it was a great console, but I only ever see myself as a customer, not a fan of a company. I like the PS4 better than the Xbox One, so that's what I own. Anyway, just a bit of constructive criticism for your vids. You should write out what you're going to say before you make your videos. Doesn't have to be word for word, in fact it's probably better to just construct a basic outline of the points you want to discuss in the video, just so they have more focus. You have a vivid imagination, for sure, but without a basic outline of what you want to get across in your videos, you end up rambling and repeating yourself a lot. So maybe just write out a basic outline, then go over it once or twice before you upload. The people with the most views will always watch their videos before uploading them. This will help ensure that you keep your audience engaged and coming back to your channel for more videos. That said, I applaud you just for getting up and putting yourself out there, and for speaking up about Microsoft and their fucked up Bullshit.

In all likelihood, the majority of signatures you saw were the product of astroturfing. It's damage control on Micro$oft's part, and may have been funded by software publishers who would have liked to have seen the console's Orwellian 'features' come to fruition as originally envisioned (EA is a prime suspect as far as 3rd party publishers go).

I have an Xbox One, but it's layered in a thick film of dust. I play my N64 way more then any of the newer consoles, and I'm also more of a PC gamer. I just hate the monopoly that the consoles have become. I miss the old days when all you had to do was buy a console, throw a disk in it or a cartridge and bam, you're playing the fucking game. Now you need to wait for updates, patches, so on and so forth. plus a lot of these newer games coming out I just have no interests in them. which is why I still play Mario 64.

PC gamers say that they are master race but when a console starts to adapt to steam like policies and add cool new features and try to be a good middle ground its terrible. Call of Duty, Assassins Creed, Mario, any number of capcom games, the list goes on and on we rarely get new and interesting ideas in gaming because producers cant fit new and fresh developers in their budget so the lack of used games or fee's for retailers to sell used games is a good way for developers and producers to make money. I mean my god look how many game developers are around for the PC, why? Because they don't have this problem In fact how many sales do you see on steam? This should be the standard for all gaming. I'm a console gamer and it makes me ashamed to admit it because most of us are so damn ignorant about that no one can see the over all effects of this change. That's alright. Personally, I think the old policies were somewhat good and bad. The 24 hour online check-in was bad, as was the no game sharing. Not having a physical disc was appealing, but i don't mind that either way. I'm not sure if i plan on purchasing either the Xbox One or the PS4, but i would be leaning toward the PS4, I've had an Xbox since the 360 came out, so i'd want to try something different.

Look at if from my perspective. Let's say I need a new computer. A decent one cost say around $500. However i also want a next gen console. Well why not take the cost of both and build a gaming PC? For $900 you can make a pretty damn good gaming PC.

There's a significant difference between actually caring and appearing to care. Sony only appears to care. For example, when the Playstation network was breached, they didn't explain, give any credits or actually care that the network went down for a month. It just stayed down until they got it back up and then said, "Here you go" as if nothing had happened.

For those of us who put our credit cards online, we were affected. Not to mention, those of us who may have been in the middle of multiplayer games. Just because you weren't affected doesn't mean there weren't hundreds of others who were. As far as being hacked, Sony should have tested and secured their sites and network better. They're a big company and they certainly have the money to make that happen. That they didn't is a major problem.
One thing that was removed which was not a restriction but quite the opposite was removed as to remove the other things this had to go as well. The ability to sell downloaded games that you are bored of. We have all done this with XBOX360, PS3 etc etc - buy a downloaded game only to not like it as much as you thought you would or got bored with it only to let it sit on your Hard Drive for years never getting used - XB1 had the ability for you the customer to RESELL that downloaded arcade game title to another person! You simply would resell its individual download code to someone else which once completed would delete it from your console and the other stranger can download it and be happy. When they 'removed the restrictions' they removed this as they all go hand in hand and can not remain on its own... So, we are more restricted now in this area. I personally would have been happy with the restrictions in place so long as I also still had the ability to resell my downloaded games.

I liked the idea of the family sharing plan and the discless gaming but even with that i really hated those rules then when they changed it back I was still considering to get a PS4, then i saw the community and decided to stick with Microsoft and well still 100% happy with my Xbox One...
More worrisome is Microsoft does own the most used gaming OS to date with windows. This petition may carry over to another console or service if companies decide it's okay to treat their customers like that. We are already seeing it with Xbox gold, PSN, Match making servers, mmorpgs, and Micro-transactions for awhile even PlayStation music.

I love gaming on any console I have ps3 and a xbox 360 but I won't be getting an xbox one cos what Microsoft did was bull-shit and just because Microsoft patched that shit don't mean they can't undo all of that crap. I like your videos, and I am in total agreement with you as far as Microsoft's bullshit DRM policies. Even though they reversed all of those policies, we all learned a lot about the mindset, culture, and values of Microsoft and how they view their customers. I loved my 360, because I thought it was a great console, but I only ever see myself as a customer, not a fan of a company. I like the PS4 better than the Xbox One, so that's what I own. Anyway, just a bit of constructive criticism for your vids. You should write out what you're going to say before you make your videos. Doesn't have to be word for word, in fact it's probably better to just construct a basic outline of the points you want to discuss in the video, just so they have more focus. You have a vivid imagination, for sure, but without a basic outline of what you want to get across in your videos, you end up rambling and repeating yourself a lot. So maybe just write out a basic outline, then go over it once or twice before you upload. The people with the most views will always watch their videos before uploading them. This will help ensure that you keep your audience engaged and coming back to your channel for more videos. That said, I applaud you just for getting up and putting yourself out there, and for speaking up about Microsoft and their fucked up Bullshit.

In all likelihood, the majority of signatures you saw were the product of astroturfing. It's damage control on Micro$oft's part, and may have been funded by software publishers who would have liked to have seen the console's Orwellian 'features' come to fruition as originally envisioned (EA is a prime suspect as far as 3rd party publishers go).

Like I've heard about people who bought like PlayStation 4 and something didn't work in them, I don't remember, like connecting more than one controller or disk eject getting and they're like well ok this one doesn't work but rest is fine so that's alright with me. I have an Xbox One, but it's layered in a thick film of dust. I play my N64 way more then any of the newer consoles, and I'm also more of a PC gamer. I just hate the monopoly that the consoles have become. I miss the old days when all you had to do was buy a console, throw a disk in it or a cartridge and bam, you're playing the fucking game. Now you need to wait for updates, patches, so on and so forth. plus a lot of these newer games coming out I just have no interests in them. which is why I still play Mario 64.

I had to stop watching this. I don't think the facts were all there. Quite frankly i find it sad too. PC gamers say that they are master race but when a console starts to adapt to steam like policies and add cool new features and try to be a good middle ground its terrible. Playstation Gamers are happy to have the same thing with a new and shiny box. Then coming down to Xbox gamers who didn't want the change its bad because it's not a new and shiny box, and its to much for most comprehend. Is this not supposed to be next gen? this seems more like slight graphics upgrade. I'm at the very least happy that Nintendo is actually putting new ideas to use.
As for the DRM... really?! I still don't see why to this day its a big deal. In fact i laugh at just how many people got ONLINE to rant and rave and Pull out their torches and pitch forks about it, especially UA-camrs. For people who are constantly UPLOADING videos to the INTERNET no less its the biggest deal when they need to sign in for mere kilobits of time to the internet just once every 24 hours. Every time i turn on my Xbox i connect to the internet. People are just blowing things out of proportion. Really this is only a small price to pay for the features you get on the console. I mean really you complained about sharing games? well my god i can share my games with up to 10 people even play with them, all wireless and online. As for pre-owned? It was actually a good way to finally get rid of retailers like gamestop who sell used games for no profit of the producers and game developers. This actually HINDERS the gaming community as a whole especially with gaming becoming mainstream. Developers cant afford to make choices and innovations if they don't have the budget to do so and thus we end up with franchises that never change. Call of Duty, Assassins Creed, Mario, any number of capcom games, the list goes on and on we rarely get new and interesting ideas in gaming because producers cant fit new and fresh developers in their budget so the lack of used games or fee's for retailers to sell used games is a good way for developers and producers to make money. I mean my god look how many game developers are around for the PC, why? Because they don't have this problem In fact how many sales do you see on steam? This should be the standard for all gaming. I'm a console gamer and it makes me ashamed to admit it because most of us are so damn ignorant about that no one can see the over all effects of this change.
Over all just bitter disappointment in all console gamers and hats of to the PC master race for having the best of just about everything gaming. I would hope that one day consoles can join in that glory, but who are we kidding right?

That's alright. Personally, I think the old policies were somewhat good and bad. The 24 hour online check-in was bad, as was the no game sharing. Not having a physical disc was appealing, but i don't mind that either way. I'm not sure if i plan on purchasing either the Xbox One or the PS4, but i would be leaning toward the PS4, I've had an Xbox since the 360 came out, so i'd want to try something different.

Look at if from my perspective. Let's say I need a new computer. A decent one cost say around $500. However i also want a next gen console. Well why not take the cost of both and build a gaming PC? For $900 you can make a pretty damn good gaming PC.

There's a significant difference between actually caring and appearing to care. Sony only appears to care. For example, when the Playstation network was breached, they didn't explain, give any credits or actually care that the network went down for a month. It just stayed down until they got it back up and then said, "Here you go" as if nothing had happened.

For those of us who put our credit cards online, we were affected. Not to mention, those of us who may have been in the middle of multiplayer games. Just because you weren't affected doesn't mean there weren't hundreds of others who were. As far as being hacked, Sony should have tested and secured their sites and network better. They're a big company and they certainly have the money to make that happen. That they didn't is a major problem.

One thing that was removed which was not a restriction but quite the opposite was removed as to remove the other things this had to go as well. The ability to sell downloaded games that you are bored of. We have all done this with XBOX360, PS3 etc etc - buy a downloaded game only to not like it as much as you thought you would or got bored with it only to let it sit on your Hard Drive for years never getting used - XB1 had the ability for you the customer to RESELL that downloaded arcade game title to another person! You simply would resell its individual download code to someone else which once completed would delete it from your console and the other stranger can download it and be happy. When they 'removed the restrictions' they removed this as they all go hand in hand and can not remain on its own... So, we are more restricted now in this area. I personally would have been happy with the restrictions in place so long as I also still had the ability to resell my downloaded games.

More worrisome is Microsoft does own the most used gaming OS to date with windows. This petition may carry over to another console or service if companies decide it's okay to treat their customers like that. We are already seeing it with Xbox gold, PSN, Match making servers, mmorpgs, and Micro-transactions for awhile even PlayStation music.
