TOYO PROXES TR1 MINI R50

First drive out with the TOYO PROXES TR1 tyres on the MINI R50,picked them up from eBay new for £237.38

Had the wheels refurbed before they were fitted,done about 50 miles on them so far and they have really nice levels of grip,the size I had is 195/55/16 running at about 40psi,I find they grip well when pulling up to a dead stop from speed and a nice a quiet for road noise too,they have a decent tread pattern and look like they mean business,in all am very happy with them,if your thinking of buying some and need any info leave a comment I’ll try and give my honest opinion,as time goes on they seam to be scrubbing in better now,would appreciate some likes and comments + subscribe to if you like my video,thanks.

Hey Mr R50. Nice set of treads. I just changed mine I had yoko sun earths which were very good. I now have kumho ecsta all round. The ecsta’s have a slight numb feel on turn in but once load is on them in turns and roundabouts they become very precise and feel is good . Have fun on ur new boots 👌💪👍🏻

Hi,thanks I will be having fun 😂😂 I looked at a few different types,I short listed the toyo tr1 and Michelin ps4,but at nearly £200 cheaper I had to give them a go as the mileage I do per year is pretty low,but up to now I’m pretty impressed,they stick pretty good on the back roads so far lol

I had the TR1 on my 275BHP Saab 9-5 and they were great even in the wet, used them mainly on track days....ever thought about taking your R50 on a track day? Liverpool motor club runs them at Aintree Racecourse twice a year, well worth a go!

Been running them about 3 1/2 months now and can’t complain,performed well in snow,ice,rain,standing water,muddy lanes,and seam pretty good on wear level as they still look new,I’ve looked at the Aintree track days yeah,haven’t done one in years,last time was in an Alfa 33 1.7 in about 2001,hopefully get to have a go this year somewhere maybe three sisters,and thanks for the subscription 👍🏻
