Charlotte is absolutely a Slytherin. In the novel too. She's way too practical to be a Ravenclaw.
"I would do anything for the PRESERVATION of my family" is a pretty wild word choice, come to think of it. Not "the happiness of my family", or even "the survival of my family"... saying "preservation" really paints a picture of the insecurities someone like her would be likely to have, especially the fear of losing your status and being knocked down to poor Lizzie's level

2. Y'all are correct about her hair. It's incredible (and every time I have a good hair day, whether I say it out loud, I always think of her "I'm having a stellar hair day)
3. That sandwich blocking is SO awkward but Julia pulled it off SO well
I feel like Lizzie has an equal and opposite thing with Darcy where her good opinion, once gained, is very, very hard to lose.

She's one of those people who really thinks she's such a great judge of character that her first (or second, for Caroline) impression of everyone is right. This is the point in the series where she's reevaluating that and trying to figure out what else she missed.

Within just this video, Charlotte is credited as being observant, cunning, & good at reading people. She is very shrewd in her business dealings & networking way back at VidCon. She is more diplomatic & pragmatic when Collins comes -not- knocking & absolutely _finesses_ that job offer from him. But however calculated or manipulative her individual actions, she never steps on another in pursuit of her climb. Collins needs a handler tbh, & she really does deliver for C&C. She is still kind & supportive & principled. Remember "Despite your position of authority over me, I don't like what you did to Jane"? She is loyal & protective & loves fiercely. Every friend group should be so lucky.

Friendly reminder that in the book, This episode was a complete set up for Caroline to spill her motives on camera because she only interacted with Lizzie when she was filming while at C&C and that sent alarm bells ringing.

I feel like Caroline is the ultimate Ravenclaw villain: creative, talented, artistic gifted and very intelligent, but villainous enough to make others feel inadequate. Her rationality has led her to bitterness (Love is an illusion). She is too ingenuine to be a Slytherin (who are usually pretty open about their sly plans with their friends).
this video (and the video within the video) was just delightful. i love a good C vs. C conversation (charlotte versus caroline. collins vs. collins. clements vs. cho.)

I assumed there was no phone call for Lizzie, which, looking at comments about the book, I'm guessing that was also later confirmed. I figured Charlotte left a note next to the phone to tell Lizzie the plan, and to come back and listen at the door. She was all ready for when Caroline came back. (Both witty and cunning.)
