I think this is the most exquisite piece of music Sonic Youth ever created; if you listen to it with headphones on, you'll know what I mean, the rythm of every instrument is delightful. It's my all-time favorite song
It's amazing how Sonic youth sometimes seems like a progressive rock, others indie, others post-punk. For me one of the most interesting band of all time and one of my favorite too
Stones, 100%, Teen Age Riot, and The Diamond Sea are my favorite songs from these guys
Fuck yeah! All great songs! I was 13-14 when I found the album Experimental Jet Set, Trash and No Star and that lead me to buy the washing machine album and between those two records I fell in love with sonic youth and have been a fan of that band for close to 25 years now.

I really love Sonic Youth for their complexity. Every time I listen to one of their songs I notice different things, be it the way a verse is sung, a guitar rift, or bass line or anything else.
Love this track. It really sucks that they broke up after all these years, but hey 20+ years is a damn good run for any band.

Sonic Youth should have their own genre, for sure. They’re so amazingly cool that I can’t imagine any contemporaries for them. Sonic Youth is always just right. Everyone else aspires to be pretty cool, but they are always just a tiny bit cooler! 😉
So interesting to witness the amazing musical filter which is time. All the shit get's discarded and all the gems make it through.
One of the most underrated bands of all time, even to those, us who love them. So many great albums, so very ahead of their time. Youth has influence on so much music it’s jarring when you actually think about it.
