I’ve been part of the Herd for almost three years. I thought, “That’s toe necrosis” from the first nip!
us couch trimmers have made huge progress during these years, all without the smell and gunk 😂😂😂😅😅😅😅
My thoughts exactly.
" Couch trimmers" 😂😂 @@mobilfone2234
At first I thought it was "Toenecrosis" (one word).. lol😅
Please keep the HERD updated on this poor girl
Yes indeed, future re check ❤️🐄
Deffo an update would be nice 😊
I’d be royally ticked if I was her owner that someone who was supposed to be taking care of my cow would let her get into that state.
Yeah, those were my thoughts too. I'd not be at all happy
Right? You were supposed to winter her, not neglect her?!
Makes me wonder who has to cover the trimming/vet bills when stuff like this happens.
Wouldn’t send my cows there ever again 👎
I hope the hoof recovers from being neglected!
I would be pissed if i got my healthy cow back with hoofs like that!
Please keep us posted on her progress during healing❤
Exactly my thoughs
Are cows sometimes rented out?
@@ShaunHensley I'm an iowa farm girl and I've never heard of a cow rental before but I know bulls are used as studs and often go to other farms to breed cows
I didn’t cry, but I definitely cringed for the poor cow. I’m so glad that someone like you was there to help her.
Yes, this one is really ugly.
I am starting my first hoof trimming job tomorrow so thank you so much for everything you have taught me.
All the best
All the best to you as you start off your career as a hoof trimmer - I imagine it will be great to be able to keep referring to Hoof GP material as you continue to gain experience.
Thank you
How did your first day go?
@@carrieblack1703 great alot more cows than I thought it would be but very interesting
Poor girl. I am one of those farm moms who treats their 1,200 lb babies the same as the ones who come into the house with me at night. This poor baby girl needs some love. Thank God for good farriers. A good farrier is worth their weight in gold and most farmers know it!!!
Absolutely
Every time I watch these all I can think about is how good it must feel for the cows to get rid of something that's probably been bothering them for weeks but they can't get rid of it themselves.
I get ridiculously second-hand proud each time I see that green glue come out. 😊
I am so happy for you that your glue is making you money. You deserve it having worked so hard and the fact that you care. Hugs x
I smiled at your comment about your nippers. Some men develop deep attachments to the tools of their trade. If someone ever asked to borrow my late husband's pliers, they were always told to remember to bring them back, as he'd had them "longer than he'd had any woman."
I've never lived on or near a farm. I have no knowledge of how to care for livestock. Regardless, I will never stop watching this content and learning anyway. Hoof trimming GOAT. 🐐🐮❤🤟
My dad worked for a company installing and building a system of fans and misters that were installed at dairies to help keep the cows cool. Company's slogan was "We Cool Your Dairy Air" i cant remember the name of the company. I used to go on trips with him to dairies that were farther away meaning er got to stay in a hotel and road tripped. I never once thought about the cows needing their hooves trimmed.
Yes..we also trim hooves on sheep, goats and alpaca.
I hope everyone tuning in has a great day ✌🏾💛
I needed that and I didn't even know it; thanks ❤ 🥲💕
Thank you and you too!
Thanks, you too! ❤❤❤
Thank you!!
You as well!!
🤗
Thank you! Same to you!
That poor cow! Thank you Graeme, Craig and Kevin. 💗🐄
Why was this poor cow not cared for properly! Looks like total neglect to me!
Wait, his name ain't Craig. It's craigyboy!
@@dianeseymour9929it's absolutely not neglect
@@NageelaMom Then I bow to your greater knowledge:)

And you sir are clearly a master at what you do. I’ve watched all your videos, and smile every time I see a new one come out. THANK YOU for sharing your skills with the world.
Hey everyone, we ordered a T-shirt and got it today, delivery was quick to Australia Melbourne, thank you, 💙 watching your work
I just love the authentic concern for the animal HGP always shows.
Love your videos Graeme and they always keep me intrigued. Incredible work and thank you for educating me through your explanations of what’s happening and why. Have a great week Graeme and the crew!❤❤
I know nothing about cattle, but you, my man, are a hero.
My heart goes out to this poor cow 😢 I hope she makes a full recovery.
If I was the farmer I’d be demanding answers as to why my cow wasn’t taken care of and demanding the cost of the care of the sick foot to be paid by the one who allowed it to get like that!
The farmer allowed it to get like that 99% of farmer trim there cows hooves and only call him when they have such problems occur
@@jscobmorrow4249 you must have NOT listened to him as the farmer didn’t have the cow. Someone else did and when the farmer got his cow back the cows foot was messed up….. smh
I LOVE the Hoof GP - who's with me? 😜😜😜😜😜
I am so glad the cows have you to take care of these problems, giving them their best chance at a good life.
Graeme she is so fortunate to have you helping her regain comfort. Next time would you please show us her face?
Amen to that
He can only show her face if she consents. We don’t want her to start the moo-too movement And get Graham canceled.

I hope she doesn’t have to overwinter at that farm next time😢 poor thing. ❤ thanks for looking after her.
That's my thoughts to. I wouldn't be happy if I was a farmer and my cow came back like that
@@jessicabathauer2977 Right?? That just seems like bad business practice.
Who overwinters until July?

I get so excited every time I see that you've posted a new video. Thank you, Gentlemen, for all that you do!
Poor cow! Thank goodness you’ve helped her
You are providing relief to so many unfortunate animals. Have you ever considered posting a follow-up video of some of the cows you have treated? I would love to see them after they are healed.

Hello, you all❤❤❤. Poor girl.😢😢. Thank you for helping her!!!!
Good day to you 😊💛
The poor little cow. That just breaks my heart 💔
Graeme, Craig, & Kevin you all do amazing job for these cows. All I can say is "Thank you guys!" 4:43 "
I live in Wisconsin, USA. Surrounded by cows (the Dairy state and all…) I have learned more from the HGP, than all my time here. Such great info, and care of these awesome animals. Thank you Grahame and Team! ❤
Wow! I bet the owner isn’t impressed with her coming back with a hoof like that. Thanks Graeme.❤️🇦🇺🏴
When I saw this cow's hoof, I started to cry. I am so thankful for Graeme. He is probably one of the few who keeps faith in the ability for a hoof to heal. Shout out to Kevin who is always on hand. See you soon Craigie Boy ❤❤❤❤
DAMN! Kevin has that blade SHARP-- like a knife slicing thru warm butter. 👍👏
With farmers losing their livelihoods I can imagine how that could have happened to a good cow, but at least she's in for good innings now. Thank you for your work!
Great 👍 job! Can you give an update on how this cow progresses thru her healing process plz ❓
Right!! I love seeing how the cow's turn out after Graeme has worked on them!!! I've only had a small part in caring for a couple of steers...never once thought to look at their feet.
It was cool to see a side of you working... gives another perspective on all the good you do.
Graeham, is it a rotten cow or a rotten toe? Hahaha😂
I was wondering the same thing. When cows go bad film at 11 lol
@@lechatbotte. proper graehamer (LOL) would be: “cow’s rotten toe”
Yes, I was wondering what she possibly could have done for Graeme to call her rotten! Poor girl-
The perils of the misplaced modifier.
I knew it was toe necrosis! I’m getting good at diagnosing stuff from these videos!
I learn something new everytime I watch your videos. Congratulations on your green glue success. ❤
It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Thank you for helping her.
Prayers going to the cow thanks for taking care of her
Why other farmer didn't get it trimmed for the owner?
I would think he should have at least notified the owner. The owner shouldn’t be charged for housing this cow if not also receiving damages for allowing the cow to be permanently hurt.
@@terriv9002 you make a good point but I'm saying since it was in care of the other farmer why he/she didn't get hoof trimmed? I would've asked owner if to get it trimmed and if owner says yes I would go ahead with it and get owner to pay if a professional did the trim.
@@db7059 I agree, but there was no way the owner would know about the problem if not informed.
@@terriv9002 correct
It’s quite easy for us online to assume or expect another to do something we ourselves can’t or won’t do. I would be surprised if even 50% of viewers are hoof trimmers. (I myself am not)
Oh that poor cow! I'm so glad you are there to help her.
Watching an American hoof trimmer and he brought out the green glue!
I love y’all!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
You really make me look forward to the end of my day and help me get ready for sleep!!!!!
Thank you for being so compassionate 🐮🫶🏽
Thank you for helping the helpless.
I don't know who's negligence it was but either way it was neglect. If someone was suppose to watch over them during the winter it may have gone unnoticed or someone didn't care enough to pay attention to this poor cow and it's herd. There could of been more in need of a trimming but this was the worst of them. Thank you Graeme for your caring touch and for getting this cow on it's way to recovery. I also knew that it was toe necrosis! ❤❤❤❤
I hope you make millions off your glue; I can’t think of anyone more deserving❤
You guys are the best at what you do!!
I got my T shirt today. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I love it. It's in the washing machine. Also thank you for the block. That glue is impossible to get off. That's some good stuff.
I've been a long time subscriber and I LIVE for these videos! Haven't missed one yet! Happy Saturday, Graeme!
That hoof trim was soooo satisfying. 🐮👍
That poor baby girl. I call you 3 my guys to my family and friends. Loved seeing your face while trimming her. Looks just like me while your trimming. I REALLY WANT TO LOCALLY FIND A HOOF TRIMMER BUT DON'T HAVE THE FIRST CLUE HOW TO. Have wanted to trim since I seen the help and relief you give these beautiful animals.
Just google local farrier schools in your area. Most states have one or two and you will sometimes find a farrier supply store (usually multiple in a state that has any farms) and that would also be a place to speak to people and get leads on farriers who are currently working and in what areas they are working. Any old school grainery usually delivers large amounts of feed to farms of all kinds and would be a place to ask around. I know everyone at my grain elevator including the owners and the owners son went to high school with my car mechanic. . . .it's how small towns work - we all know each other and who does what and who has extra from their garden to who has extra sheep. I know which farrier each one of my neighbors use and half of us schedule at the same time with the same person so he makes only one trip. Any cattle shows at your state fairgrounds would also be a place to meet people, like a state cattle expo would even have classes on hoof care, but a farrier would be on staff and people are happy to discuss the care of the cattle they bring to show off.
Another great job by the Hood GP. Hope that cow's foot gets better❤🙏
Fantastic job Graham 👏 👍 👌
@TheHoofGP
You should get a vet to administer an antibiotic called tilmicosin to cows with toe necrosis. Works incredible. Worth the long witholding period. Some research starting to show up soon on this treatment.

Poor cow. Glad you're there to help.
It’s great to see this animal helped like this. I can’t imagine how the cow felt standing on that toe. Side note, I did have to chuckle at the video title… Rotten cow’s toe? Oh wait I get it… Cow’s rotten toe. 😄
Poor baby. Thanks for helping her.
no matter how many vids i see a cow or a bull has problems then you turn up and omg the help you give as soon as you get to thr problem the animal knows
Nice, I Hope She Gets Better Soon 🙏
I hope the farmer that owns this cow gives the one who was "caring" for her an earful! This is terrible! Thank you for helping her Graham!
Hi Graeme. I just saw a trimmer doing a terrible job. He was causing the cow real pain but said he wasn't hurting her. He hacked at her hoof and made her bleed. It was heartbreaking to see this. What's worse is knowing that he will work on other cows and continue to cause pain.
You becoming quite the silver fox aye lad
I hope the pedal bone is ok. I watch too many of your videos. I think I’m an expert. 😂 Thanks Greame.
Please keep us posted.

Clearly there's something wrong with me, see the title and decide that's a great video to watch while eating dinner 😂
Had to laugh at the title wording. "Rotten cow"hoof or cow's Rotten Hoof"😂😂
Love from Alaska! I got my hubby on your videos over the last few years and he’s a squeamish kinda guy ( I love showing him the abscess ones).😂
Love the green glue!
This is the first video I’ve seen where you actually had to trim the FRONT of the hoof!
Thank goodness the farmer has you. Poor cow.
