- When you think of steel full suspension bikes, you probably think of all the kooky and weird designs that came out in the late 90s that were awkward... to say the least. Yet there is a new wave of modern steel full suspension mountain bikes gaining hold, including the Starling Murmur. In the latest Beautiful Builds video, John showcases his personal Murmur, why he likes it, and what made him want a steel full suspension...

Great vibe in this vid and the entheusiasm just oozes out of the screen.
I have an older Murmur and i love everything about it.
I rebuilt my old 1996 Wiesmann DH-Teambike about 6 Years ago. Now it`s my main bike for everything from local home trails to jumplines and parks... The construction is very similar to the Starling Cycle Murmur and stioll is working great. But now I`m thinking about a new bike. The Starling Cycles Mega Murmur the Curtis XR29 is on top of the list. They are in a tough head-to-head race.
Beautiful bike! Sounds very fun. Been curious of those Teravails! Happy to see another company put out tan walls! Curious how their compounds compare to Maxxis and Schawlbe tan walls tires
John has those tires on all his MTBs. They're sticky and grippy in loose terrain but pedal way smoother on asphalt across pavement than a DHR/DHF. They're really durable too. Usually get around 9 months out of a set. \m/
Warrick Tanners are sick. Tanners as in sidewall. They steer really really really well. Got the light supple and they roll pretty darn well too. No complaints thar. They also got me out of a couple jams where I thought I was goin down man. I was all prepared or as best as can be but then...... that front hooked me alllllll up and no emergency room!!!!!
Yah mon!!!!!
Besides...... everyone has Maxxis. Maxxis this..... Maxxis that...... BLAH blah blah...... same old shit. Be different. Try'em.
Love that bike!
Is this a stock color or custom? Whatever it is, is AWESOME
It was custom but now it's a stock color. Starling offers it now. :-)
Yew!!!
