Hey, I served a tour in Afghanistan and I will happily say that being so far away from home, not being able to be near your friends and family, and working 16 hour shifts; this game united us and brought us joy. I didn't start playing until my tour in Afghanistan but I can say that it brought the group together and taught us teamwork. Also, it made the time fly by really really fast ;)
When i was a child i used to see my father and brother playing StarCraft now i play it, but ever my dream have been work in Blizzard like a Software Engineer. I really wish work one day there
It's my dream to work for Blizzard Entertainment on their campus in Irvine California. It's why I graduated High School 1 year 3/4 early and am now studying for my Bachelor of Arts in Game Design. The campus is amazing.
Was expecting a tour of their studio with mini interviews and a look @ their work places. Instead we got a guy figuring out how to work a camera in a museum.
When I was 11 I finally figured out what I wanted to be, a video game developer. Now as Im about to start HS Im getting super exited for college. I can't wait to put in an application for a job at Blizzard :)
@jnthn1984 You need to watch "Blizzard Entertainment - History Retrospective" then you will see how devoted and amazing their staff is. This is just a tour of the building not an insider look at the development team.
would be nice if we could see the whole rooms, instead of each individual atom of art work, the only whole rooms i saw was the library, theater, and the kitchen... im not saying the art was bad, just i wanted to see the "Studio" not the art, other wise i would of just goggled pictures of blizzard art work
And where's the studio? Where's the place where they put the games together? And where's the studio where their voice actors work? These statues are cool, but i was hoping to see the real studios... :/
I missed playing WoW when it was good.. Now everyone is flying everywhere..... I remember i had to walk my ass everywhere til I got to lvl 40, then I got a horse... Good times....
That's a good thing. It's a great environment for game developers. Plus all that sub money helps gets more people get hired. If it were me, id rather pay per month to help support them. Running an MMO is extremely expensive. They spend almost 2 million a month to maintain servers. If we stopped paying per month then allot of people would prob end up losing their jobs witch would be horrible.
that is toooo fuking awesome...i would faint out of hapiness if i were to go there...or more,if i were to join there crew...*faints after thinking about the awesomeness*
@jnthn1984 Considering this video isn't even from Blizzard, how can you say that they aren't devoted to their craft? Take a look at Blizzard's 20th anniversary video and that may change your mind. All you see here is what GameSpot wanted you to see.
@mikerules999 in the army in afghanistan ur not on duty 24/7. when ur in camps resting or have free time, theres nothing wrong with playing wow...its actually preferred rather than going into town and getting rowdy.
that's the art that's "not affiliated with blizzard" since you see juri han from street fighter. guessing the commentator said it too early since the sculptures are from blizzard games
Daaaamn I WOULD SHIT MY PANTS if i would go to this building at the night Imagine those statues in the dark and you standing alone in whole building with 1 Flashlight! THOSE statues are creepy! ( Blizz Best Gamemaking Company ever ! )
Blizzard is a titan of industry, they can do whatever the fuck they want. You quit? That's cool, three more take your place. There's a reason they own the most popular mmo on the market. (It's not because of the statues either ;])
oen thng I dont get is the size scale of some bosses/characters. Illidan and Malfurion, they are much bigger than a normal night elf which is weird since they were normal Night elfs with great gifts... atleast mafurion since Illidan got his gift through the skull of Gul'dan, Tyrande is normal? how come she is just as normal as those two? and so Arthas/Lich king. is a steroid human, how come ge became so big if you can say so, he aswell is just a normal human and the armour cant be that big.
I'm pretty sure a homeless person stole the GameSpot camera and started filming and narrating about stuff he didn't know about lmao
Blizzard has always been an inspiration to me as an artist since 3 Vikings and Blackthorn. Hope to one day work with them when I am worthy.
Tychus? That was Illidan at the end there? lol
Damn Right!
"so they could continue playing WoW while fighting for "freedom" hahaha
(;
HAHHAHA

Did you do it? Did you get a job at blizzard and help ruin the company?
What I would do to be a graphic designer there...
same
If I could only find a portal to that world.... I would never comeback.
***** I am sure you would never come back because you'd probably be dead within minutes. :)
Bookem311
hahaha I would be a level 90 paladin dude, not so easy to kill :3
this came out december 9, 2010. they probably got the footage in august or september. cataclysm wasnt out yet (when the footage was taken).
Passed by this place and was amazed at the design..

Vaati did u make this comment before your channe blew upl?
7:02 Tychus Findlay? This guy was not prepared!
Was expecting a tour of their studio with mini interviews and a look @ their work places. Instead we got a guy figuring out how to work a camera in a museum.
Awesome place. Thanks for review.

:ooo sorry for the noob question what do they do a detailed explanation would be nice?
before i die i at least want to visit that library it was amazing and i hope i can work for blizzard one day
My cousin works there so maybe I can ask him whatever you want to know ;)

Exactly! Everything was so zoomed in
whoa!~ I so have a wishlist for places to go, and this is definitely one of them! lol...
yeah this game is rly making history
the nightelf with the sombrero made me laugh so hard xD
And where's the studio? Where's the place where they put the games together? And where's the studio where their voice actors work? These statues are cool, but i was hoping to see the real studios... :/
It was VERY AWESOME of Blizz to set-up that network overseas for the miltary! Go blizz!
Love those wings on Tychus and the glowing eyes too
this is like walking through a display case i wna see where they actually work and spend their time
@michke11 Looks like it, and it is called Wizard's Chess. If you look at the pawns, they look exactly the same
I missed playing WoW when it was good..
Now everyone is flying everywhere.....
I remember i had to walk my ass everywhere til I got to lvl 40, then I got a horse...
Good times....
Bro you're free to walk anywhere you want no one is stopping you.
This video is absolutely horrendous, but Blizzard is the best video game company of all time! I love their games!
I don't know what you mean by that, Deathwing has always been a big part in Warcraft Lore :)
What they did that, set up network for soldiers to play in Afghan that is great
I love that, oh yeah they did alot of cool stuff but that U.S. Certificate will always be hanging proud. Blizzard is awesome.
I LOVE BLIZZARD, GJ EVERYONE THAT WORKS IN THERE!

Man, my dream employer. Gonna have to kick it into high gear at my Entertainment school.
that is toooo fuking awesome...i would faint out of hapiness if i were to go there...or more,if i were to join there crew...*faints after thinking about the awesomeness*
if those painting and statues are the only things i want to see ,i'd watch some online galleries .
@MrMozarilla the games devs say DEE-ABLO so therefore it is called DEE-ABLO
interesting only because its my favorite game developer but the camera work was shit narration wasn't much better
ikr
Where's that thing that brings everything to life from Night at the Museum when you need it? ;P
They have a museum do they do tours or is it just for employees?
i think sometimes you can win a tour there, and famous game reviewers and sellers can go there.
A vision of beauty
I wish my office was like this
This is now my dream job
You-tubers do tours like this, just to present viewers their fortune. It's a library, but I think it is more related to developers.
very cool =) what a comfy looking place!
@jnthn1984 Considering this video isn't even from Blizzard, how can you say that they aren't devoted to their craft? Take a look at Blizzard's 20th anniversary video and that may change your mind. All you see here is what GameSpot wanted you to see.
All I can say is, WOW!
@mikerules999 in the army in afghanistan ur not on duty 24/7. when ur in camps resting or have free time, theres nothing wrong with playing wow...its actually preferred rather than going into town and getting rowdy.

This. Is my heaven.
We paid for most of those things xD
correction, we paid for all those things
Amazing how far they have come. Keep em coming Blizz!!!!
...and how far they've fallen
@@tehjamerz i know sad... I refuse to play their games now. Its not the same blizzard anymore
@@slumberingsam ;*(
@RotomicP It's true, the 20+ frenshmen is developing the first Naruto MMO
i could live in that place all my life.
That would be so amazing to work at Blizzard (:
Why do I feel like I just watched an art exhibition instead of an actual tour of Blizzard Entertainment's studio?
5:53 This is from Harry Potter Chess Collectibles Edition!!!
*Military plays WoW at 6:29 PM EST on Saturday*
*SUPRISE ATTACK*
General: OSHIT.
Damn considering blizzard hasnt made so many games, they have a LOT of trophies
A collectors' wet dream!
@RotomicP I hate to break it to you, but a 16 year old boy showed Blizzard a new way to render, which they use today
fail thats not tychus findlay (7:00) thats illidan stormrage from warcraft 3 and world of warcraft burning crusade
Greeting the team at the entrance is an ork statue forged from *Chinese bronze* ...
It all make sense now.
6:35 "that isn't affiliated with any of Blizzard's games" proceeds to show goblin head, gnome helicopter and Deathwing's head.
what is that illidan has in 6:26 Kaels shiny pearls?
where is the statue at 5:36 from?
*The Art of Blizzard Entertainment's Studio Tour
I wanted to see the people, not the toys
Daaaamn I WOULD SHIT MY PANTS if i would go to this building at the night Imagine those statues in the dark and you standing alone in whole building with 1 Flashlight! THOSE statues are creepy!
( Blizz Best Gamemaking Company ever ! )
Great minds Great minds...
Is it visitable? Can ppl visit it?
how unglamorous.. reminds me of my local museum
nice studio tour... do you even leave that fckn museum? if i want to see the blizzard-franchise i'll look on amazon -.-
I don't have motion sickness and this video gave me motion sickness.
Blizzard is a titan of industry, they can do whatever the fuck they want. You quit? That's cool, three more take your place.
There's a reason they own the most popular mmo on the market.
(It's not because of the statues either ;])
This and the IGN "studio tour" really need to change the titles to Museum tour. Honestly.
I blame the script writer and the guy that did the voiceover. The Camera Man was just doing his job.
did you take a break from COD?
5:58 a Harry Potter Chess Board at Blizzard studios??
what's the name of the music?
oh man blizzard have everything
HEY, WE'RE BLIZZARD! LOOK HOW COOL WE ARE AND HOW MUCH PEOPLE LIKE US! Problem?!
0:28 WOOOOOOOW! O.O
@flyliketails I'm not seeing why that would be a problem.
oen thng I dont get is the size scale of some bosses/characters.
@flyliketails I heard the US military were doing all sorts of stuff to get new recruits at one stage. I guess WoW was one of them :P
I wish they showed the play where they actually work... Not just the cool stuff on the wall.
0:57 It looks so real
My uncle designed the Blizzard HQ. No joke.
+FuckBO2 proof?
tycus finley is a charecter from starcraft games!
Tychus got wings!!!
2:38 Arishok? What are you doing there?
i wouldnt be suprised if i find weed stashed in the fluffys
