Enjoyed seeing the Per Diem Boxcars especially the Middletown & New Jersey car. We have video of these boxcars returning to the Middletown & New Jersey for storage. Middletown & New Jersey Railway Historical Society. Enjoy your show! Thanks!
What a nice show! The Walther's switch turnout system is awesome! I love the short line boxcars Mike brought to the round table! I love how you teach everyone of the D.I.Y. projects! I'm celebrating my 70 th Birthday Today! Love my hobby! I'm wearing my caps from Jelsma Graphics! Getting cool out there! This is "The Greatest Hobby In The World" Till Next Time! What's neat THIS week? A LOT ! ! ! So much stuff, all really cool. Thanks for sharing it all. Scale Rail Ray heading back to my corner of the Round House
I use the Walthers turnout system and I am a big fan of the plug and play aspect of it. Like Joshua said, I am still figuring out all of the possibilities. I have a multi-deck railroad, and the additional clearance the horizontal switch machines provide makes a big difference. As for mounting them, I pre-mount them to a thin piece of plywood at the workbench, then attach the plywood to the layout. Great job presenting them.
When I was still a member of the Niagara Orleans model RR club, we did a train exhibit for the Taylor winery based on the Bath and Hammondsport Rwy. You might want to check to see if it is still there because it used forced perspective as a means of extending the view.
I have a lot of those short line railroad boxcars but mostly from the pacific northwest that Southern Pacific interchanged with. I was curious about some of the cars you are showing but never bought . I think i will try to find some. Cool Mike. It is the era I model too. Unfortunately I haven't found any of them. I too liked the format of this show. The informal talk show was a good change. Thanks to everyone who put it together.
Joshua is incorrect on Blumnami. It can still be run using DCC. It will run on straight DC power to the track and if you run deadrail it can work off Battery. I've done a ton of conversions on G Scale engines and I love the flexiblity. Use the App so you can take advantage of programming the decoder without knowing CVs. It's very intuitive with regards to making changes on the decoder. You can even try the changes directly using the app before you run the engine. This is a real game changer and so much easier than any other decoder out there.
I agree, I was hesitant at first but I bought a couple Blunami decoders to try and I have loved every minute. I have been running DC for years and now I can have DCC and sound without buying a DCC system. And Soundtraxx customer service is the best. I blew up a decoder by accident as a rookie to electrical and I sent it back and they replaced it. All around great stuff from Soundtraxx
@@3rdTrickGang Soundtraxx is a great company and they stand by their product. I’ve changed over almost all of my G Scale engines that were run with QSI. Blunami gives you so many options and the price point is excellent. In years past I paid $250 for a QSI decoder and they were a PIA to work with.
A Blunami on a DCC track can be controlled by the DCC system until you connect to it with the Blunami app. After that connection is made the Blunami is controlled only by the App until the Blunami loses power.
I always enjoy your videos. Would you consider creating the videos in 1080P 60fps? I have a large Big Screen TV. I noticed that the picture quality of your videos is not as sharp as it could. Again, just a suggestion. Thanks!
Back when per diem box cars were “the rage”, leasing companies actually solicited people to outright buy a box car and lease it them. They didn’t mention that as the owner, you’d be liable for maintenance. Don’t know if they had many takers.
The show should give some time to the Hornby HM7000 system, which is very similar to bluenami in operation, including bluetooth app control and DCC back compatibility at less than half the price
I will stick with ESU, there is a screen on the ESU programmer where you can set a CV to what ever you want but I like seeing a description when I am changing CV, too many to remember. And I backup the change when I make it so can always go back.
Wholly Neanderthal tv . ever head of Rail Pro . As much as I’ve learnt plenty off mike and Ken modelling as kid in the 8Os , it’s a bit archaic all this old fashion technology that were supposed to be using today to program an engine . My 5 year old daughter can run a rail pro hand held in 5 min.and get it running .

It amazes me how these people are so into trains. Well, I'm glad they are having fun.
did the switch machines short out? that was a lot of smoke!
I Seen That Too!

Great Show Guys!!!
Good morning yall

The pickens railroad is out of anderson SouthCarolina
I love the show. You have a problem with the microengineering link. If you click on it, it gives a file404 error.
The show should give some time to the Hornby HM7000 system, which is very similar to bluenami in operation, including bluetooth app control and DCC back compatibility at less than half the price
Thank you ❤
